209: Chapter 209 Repairing the Fragments

Hundreds of Tide Mark hunters, plus a priest who could control the Tide Well. No matter how strong this outsider was, he couldn't possibly withstand it.

However.

Li Taiping simply released his grip on Grey Bone.

He took a step forward.

His black robes fluttered loudly in the windless basin.

He raised his right hand, pressed his index and middle fingers together, and lightly pushed down toward the hundreds of people charging at the front.

Boom!

There was no shockwave, no light or shadow.

Only pure, brutal gravity.

The hundreds of hunters at the very front didn't even have time to scream before their entire bodies were crushed directly into the black soil.

The sound of shattering bones joined together, sounding like a string of muffled firecrackers going off in the basin.

The hunters behind them stopped abruptly, staring at the deep pit in the ground with faces full of terror.

The pit was filled with meat paste and bone fragments.

Li Taiping lowered his hand, his tone very flat.

"Too noisy."

The basin fell into a deathly silence.

The remaining members of the Black Tooth Tribe even stopped breathing. What kind of power was this? No Tide Mark used, no incantations recited—just a raise of the hand, and hundreds of elite hunters were gone?

The old man on the sacrificial altar's expression changed drastically.

He gripped his bone staff tightly and stared fixedly at Li Taiping: "You are not a Sky Slave! Who on earth are you!"

Li Taiping did not answer him.

He walked toward the sacrificial altar step by step.

His speed didn't seem fast, but with every step he took, the surrounding Black Tooth Tribe members retreated a step in unison. That invisible sense of pressure was even more suffocating than the black mist of the Tide Well.

The old man panicked.

He suddenly turned around, pointing his bone staff at the little girl being held over the mouth of the well.

"Throw her down!"

"I pray for the Tide Well to bestow punishment!"

Two hunters instinctively let go, pushing the little girl toward the well.

Grey Bone let out a shrill, agonizing scream: "No!"

The little girl's body fell straight toward the mouth of the well.

At the very moment she was about to fall into the black mist, a hand appeared out of thin air and grabbed her back collar.

Li Taiping stood by the well.

No one saw how he got up there. It was as if he had been standing there all along, merely having been invisible just moments before.

He casually tossed the little girl down from the altar.

Grey Bone scrambled over, caught his sister, and held her tightly in his arms, weeping heart-wrenchingly.

Li Taiping turned his head and looked at the old man.

"This is the Tide Well you spoke of?"

The old man was already scared out of his wits. He let out a scream, bit the tip of his tongue, and spat a mouthful of black blood onto the black crystal on his bone staff.

"Lord of the Abyss!"

"Devour him!"

The black crystal on the bone staff instantly exploded.

The black mist at the mouth of the well seemed to come alive, transforming into a black giant python over ten meters thick. It opened its abyssal maw and lunged to swallow Li Taiping in one bite.

The black mist carried extremely strong corrosiveness and pollution.

Wherever it passed, the black stone sacrificial altar crumbled inch by inch.

The Black Tooth Tribe members below were so terrified they sprawled on the ground, not even daring to raise their heads.

Li Taiping stood his ground, with no intention of dodging.

He simply raised his left hand, palm facing upward.

The dull black tide remnant key emerged.

The character 'Tide' on the surface of the key suddenly lit up with a faint golden light.

The black giant python lunged to within a foot of Li Taiping and suddenly stopped.

As if it had encountered some extremely terrifying natural enemy, the python's body began to tremble violently.

In the next second.

The black tide remnant key generated an irresistible suction force.

The black giant python, over ten meters thick, had no room to even struggle as it was directly drawn into a thin thread and sucked into the remnant key.

Not just the python.

The rolling black mist at the mouth of the well was also forcibly pulled out by this suction, continuously pouring into the key.

In just three breaths' time.

The Tide Well, which had been so menacing just a moment ago, had completely dried up.

Not even a trace of black mist remained.
