26: Chapter 26: You wouldn't want to see Wu Tong get into trouble in the lower realm, would you?

Outside the palace of the God of Destruction in the Divine Realm, it was completely different from the Sea God Temple of Tang San.

There were no gentle mists or soft halos here; instead, there were roaring purple thunderbolts, like thunder dragons poised to strike, rolling and wandering through the clouds around the palace, each flash bursting with a heart-trembling aura of destruction.

The palace itself was built from a deep purple rock, sharp-edged and filled with a fierce sense of oppression, as if it were a dormant giant beast, ready to wake at any moment and crush everything around it.

The air was filled with a thick Divine Power of destruction; if an ordinary Divinity were to approach, they would likely have their Divine Soul torn apart by this power in an instant.

But Tang San was completely unaware of this.

A faint blue-gold halo lingered around his body, as his Sea God Divine Power and Asura God Divine Power intertwined and circulated, forming an invisible barrier that kept those violent auras of destruction at bay.

At this moment, his mind was entirely focused on Tang Wutong's safety; he did not pause for a second, walking straight through the thunderclouds and stepping into the palace gates.

The interior of the palace also exuded a cold, murderous aura.

There were no intricate decorations, only thick purple stone pillars supporting the dome, engraved with ferocious runes that faintly shimmered with flowing electricity.

The floor was made of smooth, mirror-like black crystal, reflecting the purple spirit ring floating above—that was the God of Destruction's divine ring, emitting a terrifying pressure capable of shaking the Divine Realm.

On the high platform at the end of the great hall, the God of Destruction sat on a throne carved from obsidian.

He wore a purple robe with intricate thunder patterns embroidered on the hem, which rose and fell slightly with his breathing.

His face was handsome but carried a hint of cold hardness, and his purple eyes were deep as an abyss; he was currently looking down at a purple crystal in his hand, his fingertips grazing its surface and stirring up small ripples of energy.

Hearing footsteps, the God of Destruction slowly raised his eyes, his purple gaze landing on Tang San, a flash of obvious confusion crossing his eyes.

"Sea God."

He spoke, his voice cold and carrying an innate chill, asking: "What urgent matter brings you here?"

Although he and Tang San were both members of the Divine Realm Committee, their relationship had never been good.

Tang San oversaw the Sea God Temple and rarely took the initiative to step foot into his Palace of Destruction; his sudden visit today was clearly not for idle chatter.

Tang San did not beat around the bush and got straight to the point: "I am here because of Xiao Qi."

"Xiao Qi?" The God of Destruction raised an eyebrow, his confusion deepening, before he realized and asked: "Are you talking about Tang Wutong?"

Tang Wutong's nickname, "Xiao Qi," was known to only a few close Divinities in the Divine Realm.

He had always doted on this niece, and Tang Wutong loved to pester him and the Goddess of Life, often coming to the Palace of Destruction to play, bringing much vitality to this cold palace.

"What happened to her?" The God of Destruction sat up straight, his tone carrying a bit more concern as he asked: "Isn't she training on the Douluo Continent? Did she encounter trouble?"

Tang San's expression darkened, his tone grave: "She... has disappeared."

"Disappeared?" The God of Destruction's voice rose sharply, a flash of astonishment in his purple eyes as he asked: "What do you mean by disappeared?"

"Just now," Tang San took a deep breath, suppressing the anxiety in his heart, and said: "My bloodline connection with her was suddenly severed, and I have even completely lost the sensation of the divine consciousness I left in her spiritual sea. This kind of situation has never happened before."

He looked at the God of Destruction, his eyes filled with a hint of pleading: "I am not sure what happened, but I can be certain that something must have happened to her."

The God of Destruction fell silent.

He tapped his fingers lightly on the armrest of the throne, his purple eyes flickering with light, evidently deep in rapid thought.

The great hall fell into a brief silence, with only the sound of purple thunder occasionally cracking outside the hall.

A moment later, the God of Destruction raised his eyes and looked at Tang San: "What do you want to do?"

"I want to go to the lower realm."

Tang San answered without hesitation: "I must go and investigate exactly what happened."

Upon hearing this, the God of Destruction frowned: "As a God King, you should know the rules of the Divine Realm. Divinities must not interfere with the affairs of the lower realm at will, much less descend personally, otherwise it will trigger turmoil in the plane's order."

This was an ironclad rule established since the founding of the Divine Realm; even the five great God Kings could not easily violate it.

"I know." Tang San nodded, his tone exceptionally firm, "Precisely because of this, I have come to discuss it with you."

He knew the God of Destruction had a stubborn personality and regarded the rules as paramount; under normal circumstances, his request would certainly have been rejected on the spot. But this time was different; it concerned Tang Wutong.

Tang San paused, softening his tone, carrying a hint of imperceptible pleading: "Destruction, I know the rules are important, but Xiao Qi is my daughter. You have watched her grow up; are you willing to watch her disappear just like that without a trace? She is still so young, all alone on the Douluo Continent... You wouldn't want to see Tang Wutong get into trouble in the lower realm, would you!"

He deliberately brought up the bond between the two of them and Tang Wutong; this was the only way he could think of at the moment.

The God of Destruction's eyes flickered.

He truly liked that girl Tang Wutong; he liked her liveliness and the way she would pester him with questions. If it were anyone else, he would never have wavered, but since it concerned Xiao Qi...

He fell silent for a moment, a struggle flashing in his purple eyes, which finally turned into a soft sigh.

"Fine." The God of Destruction spoke slowly, "But there are three conditions."

Tang San's heart leaped with joy: "Go ahead."

"First, I must go with you." The God of Destruction stood up, his purple robe rising behind him, "With one more person, there is more support, and it can also prevent you from acting on impulse and interfering in the affairs of the lower realm."

"Second, after finding Xiao Qi's whereabouts and determining the cause, you must immediately return to the Divine Realm without any delay."

"Third, no matter what you encounter on the Douluo Continent, you are not allowed to use the power of a God King to interfere with the order of the lower realm; if you violate this, do not blame me for being impolite."

These three conditions effectively blocked all paths for Tang San to potentially "cross the line."

But Tang San did not hesitate in the slightest, nodding immediately: "I agree."

He knew very well that, given the God of Destruction's personality, being able to go this far was already the limit. If he were to bargain further, he would likely lose even this opportunity.

Seeing him agree so readily, the cold hardness in the God of Destruction's eyes softened slightly: "Since that is the case, there is no time to lose; we leave now."

He waved his hand, and a purple light shot from his fingertips, landing on the floor in the center of the hall, instantly tearing open a spatial rift. On the other side of the rift, the scenery of the Douluo Continent could be vaguely seen.

As one of the most ancient God Kings in the Divine Realm, the power and abilities he possessed were not something other Divinities could match.

The two disappeared, heading straight towards the direction of the Douluo Continent.
