230: Chapter 230 Going Upstairs for a Drink of Water
Nothing happened. Chen Cheng drove all the way, quickly arriving at the large steps in front of Han Su's house.
Chen Cheng parked the car, walked to the passenger side, opened the door, and woke up the sleeping Han Su.
Han Su opened her eyes and looked around, "We're here."
Chen Cheng nodded, the corners of his mouth curling up, "Yeah, we're here. Hurry home and rest, otherwise you'll turn into a little lazy pig tomorrow."
Han Su frowned slightly, not quite used to such an intimate term of endearment, her heart pounding.
She retorted stubbornly, "I, Han Su, am going to be the woman who becomes the youngest partner, how could I possibly be late?"
After speaking, she turned to get out of the car.
Meeting Chen Cheng's gentle gaze, her face flushed slightly, "Good night."
Chen Cheng nodded, "Good night."
Han Su felt a bit reluctant, but still walked towards the steps.
Chen Cheng watched her walk up the steps in her high heels, then remembered, "Wait a second."
Han Su turned back, the wind blowing through her long hair. She tucked away the hair that had fallen in front of her eyes and asked softly, "What is it?"
Chen Cheng had already walked to the back of the car, opened the trunk, took out a box, and walked over to Han Su.
He handed the box to Han Su, "A gift for you."
Han Su raised an eyebrow, "Why are you giving me a gift?"
Chen Cheng smiled, "You gave me a belt, isn't it normal for me to return the favor?"
Han Su was stunned for a moment, a smile spread across her lips, and she raised her hand to open the box.
What came into view was exactly the pair of shoes from that afternoon—the ones she liked very much but were too expensive, so she hadn't been willing to buy them.
Han Su pursed her lips and looked at Chen Cheng, with his sword-like eyebrows, star-like eyes, and upright posture. This guy wasn't just handsome; he was also very attentive.
Han Su's face was rosy, and she tentatively asked, "Do you want to... come up and have a glass of water?"
Chen Cheng was stunned, not expecting her to be so proactive.
Scum Cheng reacted quickly and nodded, "Okay."
Chen Cheng locked the car and walked side-by-side with Han Su, step by step up the stairs.
Neither of them spoke, enjoying the quiet atmosphere of the night.
Han Su was a little tipsy, her steps slightly unsteady.
Chen Cheng stopped, looked at her, and Han Su turned back in confusion, "What's wrong?"
Chen Cheng didn't speak; he walked up to her in two steps and scooped her up into his arms.
"Ah~"
Off-balance, Han Su let out an involuntary exclamation, then immediately pressed her lips together tightly, afraid of drawing attention.
Chen Cheng walked up step by step, and Han Su, holding the shoebox, looked at the Great Handsome Guy with increasingly infatuated eyes.
It was as if they had returned to that winter when they were seventeen.
Only back then, the two of them at the school gate weren't as uninhibited as they were now.
At the top of the large steps was a wide platform, and there was still a slope to walk up before reaching where Han Su lived.
Han Su pointed the way by instinct, and it took them seven or eight minutes to reach the bottom of the apartment building.
Stepping upstairs to the door, Han Su tried to suppress her palpitations and said softly, "Put me down, so I can open the door."
Chen Cheng nodded and put Han Su down.
Han Su took the key out of her purse and opened the door.
Chen Cheng followed her into the house, wrapped his arms around Han Su's waist, lowered his head, and kissed her red lips.
Han Su did not refuse; she raised her arms to wrap around his neck and responded passionately.
The shoebox fell to the floor with a clatter, but it didn't affect the two of them.
Chen Cheng kicked the door shut.
While kissing, they moved into the room, clothes scattered one by one on the floor of the entryway, living room, and bedroom.
... The night was truly beautiful.
The next day. Chen Cheng got up and went downstairs to buy breakfast, then checked Han Su's favorability rating.
It had gone up once when he accompanied her shopping in the afternoon, once when he successfully 'stole' a hair from her while coaxing her at the banquet, and once when she was handed a stack of business cards later.
It went up several times when he carried her on the steps in the evening.
Plus the night of passion in the bedroom, Han Su's favorability rating was already 88. Even higher than Zou Yu's.
This was probably the lethality of being each other's 'white moonlight'.
Hearing the movement in the kitchen, Han Su opened her eyes, full of joy.
She put on a nightgown, walked to the kitchen, and wrapped her arms around Chen Cheng's waist.
"Why are you up so early?"
"Awake?"
Han Su's lips curled up slightly, "With that noise you're making, how could I not wake up?"
Chen Cheng's mouth twitched, "Don't you know what kind of shape your juicer is in?"
Han Su laughed.
That juicer was left by the landlord; when it turned on, the sound was like a tractor, buzzing away.
Chen Cheng poured the juice into a glass and wiped his hands.
He turned around, wrapped his arms around Han Su's slender waist, looked into her eyes tenderly, and asked softly, "Did you sleep well?"
Han Su recalled the madness of last night; he was really too... hmm, too strong.
She was very satisfied, a blush creeping up her cheeks, and she nodded gently, "Mm~"
Chen Cheng raised an eyebrow; this shy appearance didn't quite seem like her.
He raised his hand to cup her cheeks and lowered his head to kiss her lips.
Han Su did not resist at all, responding passionately.
Both were breathless before they reluctantly pulled apart.
Han Su's lips curled up, her arms around Chen Cheng's neck, "I haven't brushed my teeth yet."
Chen Cheng's mouth curled up into a smile, "Is it possible that I haven't brushed my teeth either?"
Han Su was amused by him and snorted.
Chen Cheng stopped smiling, "Alright, let's eat breakfast first, then brush our teeth after."
Han Su nodded and helped get the tableware.
The two returned to the dining table, and Han Su looked at the food containers on the table with a smile in her eyes, "Why did you buy so much?"
"I didn't know what you liked to eat, so I bought a bit of everything. Don't worry, eat up; I'll take care of the leftovers."
Han Su picked up the glass with a face full of happiness and took a sip of the juice Chen Cheng had just squeezed, her eyes never leaving Chen Cheng.
Chen Cheng smiled, "Stop looking, if you don't eat soon, you'll be late."
Reuniting with the person from ten years ago and ending up together.
At this moment, Han Su's heart was soaked in syrup.
She couldn't help but want to smile and watch him.
Chen Cheng gave her an annoyed look; sure enough, even the strongest woman has a moment of being love-struck.
He took out his phone and placed it on the dining table, browsing news from Japan while eating breakfast.
Han Su ate while watching the focused Chen Cheng, noticing he was reading Japanese, and asked with an arched eyebrow, "You know Japanese?"
Chen Cheng nodded, "I did some Japanese stock trading myself, so I learned it."
"Japanese is very simple."
Han Su's mouth twitched. Mastering a foreign language was already quite difficult, yet this guy was calling it easy.
Speaking of trading, Chen Cheng remembered today's equity transaction. He thought about it and asked, "Are you free today? I have a cross-border equity transaction; are you interested?"
Anyway, it would involve the paperwork for offshore profit exemption applications, so it's better to give it to Han Su than to someone else.
Han Su was stunned, frowned, and thought about it. She definitely wanted to take the case, but it seemed she really couldn't squeeze out any time.
She shook her head, "Gao Peng's side is about to enter the printing plant."
When a company goes public, entering the printing plant refers not only to traditional document printing but also involves compliance assurance, prospectus preparation, process support, and professional services.
Chen Cheng thought for a moment, "Then forget it."
The contract has to be signed today; since she doesn't have the fate for it, then maybe some other time.
Han Su smiled, "Actually, you don't have to wait for me; I can find cases on my own."
A smile curled her lips, "This case for Gao Peng's company is one I developed myself."
Chen Cheng smiled, "I know, our Lawyer Han Su has excellent business capabilities."
Han Su blushed from his compliment.
She thought for a moment, "Do you want me to help you ask Morena, that is, Lawyer Hu?"
Morena had taken good care of her, so this was Han Su returning the favor.
Chen Cheng nodded, "Sure."
