437: Chapter 437 Arrangement

In the afternoon, after Yu Tu and Xia Qing left, Han Su arrived with He Zhinan.

Chen Cheng looked at his watch and shooed Jiang Tianhao, Lin Miaomiao, and Deng Xiaoqi away.

Lin Miaomiao had wanted to stay and play for another day.

But since Han Su was here, and a brief separation is better than a honeymoon, how could Chen Cheng let Lin Miaomiao interfere with his 'wedding night'?

The next day, before all the girls had even gotten out of bed, Chen Min arrived.

It wasn't that Chen Min arrived early, but rather that Scum Cheng and Han Su had been fooling around so late that the noise kept everyone from sleeping well.

"Sis, why did you come down? Isn't it cold?"

Chen Cheng stood by the living room door frame, looking at Chen Min, who was bundled up tightly in a scarf and mask.

Chen Cheng could tell at a glance that she had been too stingy to take a taxi and had ridden her little electric scooter down instead.

Chen Min leaned back tactically. "Eh? Didn't you tell me to keep the third day of the New Year free?"

Chen Cheng raised an eyebrow and joked, "I didn't say you had to come down here though."

Chen Min rolled her eyes at him, knowing he was joking, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "Then it's my fault, alright?"

Chen Cheng chuckled and stepped aside to let her in. "Come on in."

Chen Min hummed happily and entered the house. "Why did you want me to keep a day free? What for?"

Chen Cheng gave a mysterious smile. "You'll find out later."

Chen Min shook her head. "So mysterious."

A moment later, Han Su came downstairs.

Chen Min's eyes widened as she saw Han Su wearing a white knit sweater and jeans. She turned to Chen Cheng, her mouth twitching slightly.

She whispered, "Is she your girlfriend too?"

Chen Cheng suppressed a smile and looked at Han Su. "Let me introduce you, this is my older sister, Chen Min."

Han Su hurried forward with a warm smile and introduced herself respectfully, "Hello, Sister. I'm Han Su."

"Hello, hello," Chen Min felt her brain short-circuiting.

Just how many of them were there?

Chen Cheng smiled and whispered in Chen Min's ear, "This is the girl I liked back in high school."

Chen Min suddenly realized. "Then..."

Chen Cheng knew she was referring to Qiao Jingjing. "That was my deskmate."

"Susu was in the liberal arts class. She's a lawyer in Hong Kong Island now, already a partner. A big-shot lawyer."

Han Su was a bit embarrassed by his praise. She came over and took Chen Min's arm to sit down. "Sister, don't listen to his nonsense. I'm not as amazing as he says."

"Actually, he introduced me to many powerful people, and they gave me a lot of cases. That's how I became a partner."

Chen Min reacted quickly and smiled at Han Su. "That's still very impressive. Other bosses aren't stupid; if they hand things to you, they must trust your abilities."

The two exchanged a few polite compliments.

Chen Cheng pulled them both to the dining room for breakfast.

Chen Cheng had been waking up very early these past two days, so he had taken over the breakfast duties.

He only did this a few times a year, so it wasn't easy.

Hearing that Chen Cheng had made it, Chen Min, who had already eaten breakfast before coming, tried a little bit of everything.

After eating, while Han Su went upstairs to change, Chen Min pulled Chen Cheng into the yard to whisper.

Chen Min looked seriously at her cousin, who was a head taller than her. "Tell me, exactly how many girlfriends do you have?"

"Uh..." Chen Cheng felt slightly awkward. "Not many, not many, just about ten or so."

"How many?" Chen Min's pupils dilated in shock. She even let out a startled gulp.

Chen Cheng smiled sheepishly.

Seeing him admit it, Chen Min's mouth twitched, and she curled her lip in disdain. "You men really are something. You get rich and you turn bad, huh?"

Chen Cheng keenly sensed something and muttered, "'You men'?"

Chen Min suddenly grew nervous. She glanced at Han Su, who had changed and was coming out, and waved her hand. "I'll deal with you when we have time."

Chen Cheng shrugged and said nothing more.

Once Han Su was out, the three of them left the yard together.

Seeing that the other girls hadn't woken up, Chen Cheng didn't call them and left with Chen Min and Han Su.

Last night, Li Na and Zhu Zhe shared a room, while Xiao Ye and He Zhinan shared another.

The soundproofing in the courtyard house was actually quite good.

It was just that with a certain person missing from the bed and the lack of certain bedtime 'procedures,' the girls ended up tossing and turning, unable to sleep.

The four women had all inexplicably suffered from insomnia and only fell asleep at dawn.

Sitting in the back seat of the Maybach, Chen Min was still a bit dazed. "Where are we going?"

Chen Cheng smiled. "You'll know in a bit."

He started the engine and drove away.

As the route became more and more familiar, Chen Min grew even more confused.

"Are we going to my house?"

Chen Cheng shook his head. "Stop guessing, we're almost there."

A moment later, Chen Cheng parked the car in front of a ground-floor shop in a residential complex.

The three got out, and Chen Cheng led Chen Min and Han Su straight into a luxuriously decorated liquor and tobacco supermarket.

A curvaceous woman sitting at the checkout counter playing on her phone saw the three people walk in. Thinking they were customers, she immediately stood up. "Hello, can I help you with anything?"

After saying that, she looked closer and immediately recognized Chen Cheng, asking tentatively, "Mr. Chen?"

Chen Cheng smiled and nodded. "Yes, it's me."

The woman immediately broke into a smile. "Mr. Chen, hello, hello."

Chen Cheng smiled. "Hello."

"Is the contract ready?"

The woman immediately took a stack of documents from a drawer in the counter and placed them on the surface.

She then gestured toward a tea table not far away with a smile. "Boss Chen, why don't we sit down and talk?"

Chen Cheng nodded and followed the woman.

Han Su had no reaction, but Chen Min was a bit confused, though she still followed and sat down.

The curvaceous woman poured tea for them and introduced herself, exchanging a few pleasantries.

Then the woman pushed the documents one by one toward Chen Cheng. "Boss Chen, this is the transfer contract negotiated with Ms. Fang."

"This is the inventory list as of last night; today's hasn't been updated yet."

"These are the business license, food circulation permit, liquor retail permit, tobacco permit, and additional permits for special alcoholic products..."

Chen Cheng didn't take the contract but glanced at Han Su. Han Su immediately understood and began reviewing the documents.

He then turned and handed the inventory list to Chen Min. "Sis, take a look at this."

Chen Min was dazed but still took the list.

This shop was something Fang Sijin had mentioned to him when reporting progress before the New Year, bringing up Chen Min.

The jobs of others in the Chen family were generally considered respectable—either doctors, teachers, or working for state-owned enterprises.

In contrast, Chen Min, who was closest to him, seemed to have the worst situation.

Working in a factory for five thousand a month.

Chen Cheng had thought about finding a suitable job for Chen Min.

But Chen Min's education and work experience limited the options for a 'good' job (high pay, low stress, close to home).

It was Fan Shengmei who had reminded him, 'Why bother finding a job? You're spending money anyway, why not just make your sister the boss?'

And that led to this liquor and tobacco supermarket.

This industry truly offered high pay, low stress, and was close to home.

The only downside was that it required a certain network of connections.

But obviously, a small business like this didn't even require Chen Cheng to pull any strings.

People would naturally come to patronize the business.
