75: Chapter 75 The Aristotle Sisters
Yu Chuhui fled the scene, running all the way to the 23rd-floor elevator lobby before she belatedly crossed her arms over her chest.
"Stinky senior~ Stinky senior, you're the worst, the absolute worst!" Yu Chuhui scolded angrily, puffing out her cheeks.
She had originally intended to ask Chen Cheng for advice, hoping he could help solve the issue of her mother's employment.
But instead, that stinky senior took the opportunity to take advantage of her and grope her.
He even pinched her there.
Thinking about it, Yu Chuhui couldn't help but reminisce.
She unconsciously squeezed her legs together, her face flushing red.
The pinch just now had hurt like hell, but now that she thought about it, why did it feel a bit...
"Mmm..." She let out an involuntary moan.
The elevator's "ding" finally snapped Yu Chuhui out of her reverie.
Returning to 2202, Yu Chuhui didn't go downstairs to find her mother; instead, she darted straight into the bathroom.
After a while, Yu Chuhui came back out.
She happened to run into He Minhong waiting by the door and gave her an annoyed glare.
He Minhong was thick-skinned and didn't notice the glare, rushing into the restroom instead.
Yu Chuhui stopped halfway back to her room. "I let that stinky senior talk me in circles; we talked for so long, and he didn't give me a single guarantee."
"Making a living in self-media isn't that easy. You think you can just film random videos and become famous?"
Yu Chuhui rolled her eyes. "No, I have to go find Zhen Zhen."
She immediately ran over and knocked on Ye Zhenzhen's door.
As soon as she entered, she put on a miserable, aggrieved, and mournful expression, repeating the complaints she had just made to Chen Cheng to Ye Zhenzhen.
As she spoke, she started crying again.
Ye Zhenzhen was a soft-hearted person and couldn't bear to see Yu Chuhui crying like that, so she immediately offered to help think of a way to find a more suitable job.
The nanny at the home of Ye Zhenzhen's boss, Professor Tao, had gone home to take care of her grandchild, and they were in a rush to find a replacement.
"Professor Tao has replied," as soon as Ye Zhenzhen said this, Yu Chuhui, who had been sobbing on the table, immediately perked up, lifting her head and looking at Ye Zhenzhen with wide, expectant eyes.
"Six thousand five hundred a month."
"Then it's settled. I love you!"
Yu Chuhui agreed without hesitation. She really hadn't been thinking about whether the pay was more or less; she just needed to solve her mother's employment problem first so that her mother could stay in Shanghai.
Besides, she had heard a bit about Professor Tao's family from Ye Zhenzhen. It was a highly educated family, and the elderly person needing care was also a retired professor, who would surely be more cultured and refined than the elderly in ordinary families.
Yu Chuhui pretended to blow a kiss at Ye Zhenzhen and then skipped out of the door of 2203.
Ye Zhenzhen wasn't unaware of her intentions, but she couldn't bring herself to dislike her for her coercive and shameless behavior.
A happy child raised in abundance, she felt everything was under control and had no sense of crisis. It was a simple favor, so she helped. Unlike that Scum Chen Cheng, who groped someone and didn't even give a straight answer.
As soon as Yu Chuhui pulled open the slightly ajar door of 2203, her expression changed.
"What are you doing here?"
"I'm looking for Zhen Zhen to talk about the Fanhai Ji matter."
"Why didn't you go in when you got here?" Yu Chuhui stared at He Minhong with displeasure. "You weren't eavesdropping, were you?"
"I wasn't!"
Hearing the commotion, Ye Zhenzhen walked to the door. The atmosphere between the two was tense, and she didn't dare to interrupt, watching the situation unfold quietly.
"Tch~" Yu Chuhui rolled her eyes at her and turned to walk past He Minhong.
"You're going to the Han Family?"
"And you say you weren't eavesdropping?" Yu Chuhui turned around and questioned He Minhong.
"I just happened to overhear it."
"Yes, I am going to the Han Family. Do you have a problem with that?"
"It's early in the morning." He Minhong wore an expression of compassion and heartbreak.
"So what?" Yu Chuhui was very displeased.
"The Han Family has two bedridden elderly people and a pregnant woman about to give birth; they all need someone to care for them. If you take your mother away and she suddenly resigns now, where will they find someone to take over today?"
"What will they do today? Have you thought about that?"
He Minhong habitually stood on the moral high ground.
"Please, can you have some sympathy for these poor people?"
Yu Chuhui gasped, rendered speechless by the retort.
Ye Zhenzhen shook her head at Yu Chuhui. Yu Chuhui glanced at Ye Zhenzhen, then grabbed He Minhong and left.
"Fine, come with me to the Han Family to give them notice."
"Since you're so morally upright, you'd be the best mediator. You can also supervise and spur me on at any time."
"Hey~" Ye Zhenzhen chased after them to stop them, but Yu Chuhui shut her down with a single sentence: "Don't worry about it, just help me watch the door."
"..."
Ye Zhenzhen gave a wry smile and decided to let it go, turning back to 2203; she still had to go to the laboratory.
On the other side, Yu Chuhui dragged He Minhong to knock on the door of the Han Family.
The two elderly people were living in this apartment belonging to the Han Family, and it was Mother Yu who opened the door.
"AChu?" Mother Yu was also surprised to see her daughter there so early in the morning.
"Mom, go pack your things and come back with me."
"Ah? Why? I'm doing just fine here, don't be ridiculous."
"I'm not being ridiculous," Yu Chuhui said firmly. "We won't take this abuse. Go, go pack."
Hearing that she was supposed to quit, Mother Yu immediately became anxious. "Oh, AChu, didn't you already agree to let me work here? What's the matter?"
Although she had been tricked into coming to Shanghai by her daughter, after arriving, she hadn't really thought about going back anytime soon.
Her daughter had just graduated, and if they wanted to stay, they had to rely on themselves. This job was the foundation for her to stay.
Yu Chuhui's expression stiffened. She had indeed agreed to the Han Family in a fit of anger yesterday, but that was then, and this is now; Professor Tao had agreed.
Now that she had a backup plan, there was no way she would let her mother stay here to wipe the excrement and urine of two strangers.
"Oh, Mom, just go pack. Leave the rest to me."
"Oh dear, but I still have to wipe the old gentleman's body and change his diapers; that won't do."
Mother Yu was an honest person; otherwise, the Han Family wouldn't have taken a liking to her, going so far as to use a sob story.
Suddenly, anger flared up, and she silently cursed herself for being a pig-brained idiot. How could she have fallen for this trick yesterday? Serving two paralyzed elderly people—her mother's thin frame would surely be exhausted.
"Hey, don't worry about it. Someone else will handle it," she said, pushing Mother Yu. "Go, go pack, be a good girl."
Seeing that she couldn't win against her daughter, Mother Yu had no choice but to comply, reluctantly going into the room to pack her things.
Once Mother Yu went inside, Yu Chuhui pulled over He Minhong, whom she had been dragging along.
"What are you doing?" He Minhong shook off her arm and shouted.
"What am I doing? Aren't you morally upright and high-minded? You absolutely cannot watch the elderly be left without care or concern."
"Right? Go on, go wipe his body and change his diapers."
"Why should I?" He Minhong glared at Yu Chuhui, gritting her teeth.
"Just because you're morally upright and high-minded."
Yu Chuhui sneered. "What? In your eyes, is work divided into high and low, noble and base?"
"My mom can do it, but you can't, is that it?"
"Didn't you tout yourself as being morally high-minded? Go on then?"
"Go change the old man's diapers."
He Minhong was immediately put on the spot by Yu Chuhui's words, and not knowing how to refute, she glared at Yu Chuhui, breathing heavily in anger.
"Fine, I'll go."
After hesitating for two seconds, He Minhong steeled herself and turned to enter the Han Family home.
As soon as she entered the room, the Han Family's Old Madam saw her immediately. Seeing a stranger enter the house, she immediately demanded, "Hey, who are you?"
He Minhong glanced at the Old Madam and ignored her. She turned her head to look at the old man lying on the other bed.
The scene of her changing his diapers immediately flashed through her mind, and she felt a chill of disgust.
She shot a look of disdain at the old man and the Old Madam, then turned and ran out of the room.
It happened so fast that Yu Chuhui hadn't even had time to follow her inside before she saw He Minhong running out.
Watching He Minhong's awkward back as she stood in the living room, Yu Chuhui sneered.
She hadn't expected her to actually wipe the old man's body or change his diapers; she just wanted to disgust her so she would stop sticking her nose into everything.
Just then, Mother Yu came out.
Yu Chuhui called for He Minhong to film a video as a witness, proving that her mother hadn't taken anything that didn't belong to her.
After packing and checking the items, Yu Chuhui hurried to push her mother out.
"He Minhong, what are you standing there for? Go help the Old Madam make her phone calls."
He Minhong clenched her fists, then angrily went into the bedroom to help make the calls to get the Han Family members back.
...
Fortunately, Chen Cheng didn't come along; otherwise, Chen Cheng would have cursed, "What a damn pain!"
