41: Chapter 41 The Gold-Eating Ant Nest

Various kinds of ordinary metal, naturally including ordinary iron!

Not long ago, he was wondering through what channels he should obtain ordinary iron, and as it turned out, he had now discovered Gold-eating Ants and learned through the Eye of Insight entry that ordinary metal would condense inside their bodies!

Good luck is only a very small part of it; the key is being ahead!

Being ahead by one step means being ahead every step of the way, and one can even continue to grow rapidly like a snowball!

For example, it was only because various factors overlapped that he was able to discover these Gold-eating Ants this time!

Because, without the drones and various devices controlled by Qin Xiaoqi, he would never have strayed far from the Highway!

And where did all these come from?

Qin Yun looked at the Red-eyed Rabbit that had earned him the first-kill gift package, which he had placed in a corner inside his space ring.

Since yesterday, he had not intended to eat this Red-eyed Rabbit quickly.

He intended to eat a little bit every once in a while, as a way to remind himself not to forget his original intentions!

"Master, the number of Gold-eating Ants is too high. Just on the surface, those scanned and detected already exceed three thousand five hundred. There are likely even more inside the small hills on both sides, not to mention the depths of the valley that cannot be scanned and detected, as well as the Gold-eating Ant nest discovered by the drone!"

Qin Xiaoqi's voice was somewhat grave.

Apparently, after a rough calculation, she had already realized that the probability of obtaining a golden treasure chest today was close to zero!

"Don't worry, I won't take such a huge risk just for a golden treasure chest!"

Qin Yun still had self-awareness.

They were indeed not weak now; the vehicle possessed two ordinary energy-gathering guns, and facing twenty or thirty Red-eyed Rabbits posed no pressure at all, but facing a large number of Gold-eating Ants was a different story.

With their powerful mouthparts and the ability to secrete a special formic acid with extremely strong corrosiveness, if one were bitten, let alone the flesh on one's body, even the bones would likely be corroded away!

Therefore, they had to be careful; they absolutely could not be surrounded by them!

And the location of the golden treasure chest was in the depths of the valley, more than a thousand meters away from the valley entrance.

The Gold-eating Ant nest not far from the treasure chest was even larger than an ordinary detached villa!

If the nest on the ground was this big, what about the one underground?

Who knew how many Gold-eating Ants were inside the nest, or if there were any other unknown things!

The golden treasure chest was great, but he wouldn't covet it, at least not today!

At this moment, Ivy Felicia took out two rabbit tooth daggers from the small space ring that had already acknowledged her as master, and then stated with a firm look in her eyes: "Master Vehicle Owner, Filia is willing to try her best to retrieve the golden treasure chest!"

The determined look in her eyes did not seem like she was joking.

Moreover, she was even preparing to take off the space ring on her finger, and...

???

Wait, is this how loyalty is expressed in the Light and Dark World?

Qin Yun was somewhat surprised and puzzled, while simultaneously raising his hand to stop her next action.

After thinking for a moment, he understood why.

He could see the other person's loyalty, but she didn't know he could see it, so she wanted to demonstrate her loyalty.

And since the golden treasure chest was so precious, Ivy Felicia naturally wanted to help Qin Yun retrieve it; even if she knew she would likely die, she still wanted to try!

After ten years of experiences, having finally met someone so good to her, she was willing to give everything.

Qin Yun looked at Ivy Felicia and said: "Filia, how long are you willing to pledge your loyalty to me? A day, a year, ten years, or a hundred or a thousand years, or even endless years?"

"Of course, endless years." Filia replied without hesitation.

"But if you go deep inside alone, I'm afraid it won't even last a day."

Filia was a bit anxious and opened her mouth to explain, but Qin Yun raised his hand to interrupt: "I believe in your loyalty!"

"Please cherish yourself; otherwise, how will you stay by my side for endless years?"

Upon hearing Qin Yun say this, Ivy Felicia's loyalty increased by 1 point.

Moved eight hundred times a day...

Beings who lack love due to past experiences are indeed easily moved.

Qin Yun handed Filia a piece of paper, then clapped his hands, his tone becoming serious: "Let me talk about the upcoming arrangements."

Ivy Felicia quickly wiped away her tears and sat up straight.

Cat Xiaoxiao, who had been tilting her head in thought, straightened her cat head and twitched her ears.

Qin Xiaoqi's image appeared on the screen, looking like she was listening.

"I have decided that for the next few days, we will use this place as a hunting ground to obtain more ordinary metal. If the golden treasure chest doesn't disappear, we might still have a chance to get it!"

"Master is wise!"

"Filia will always support Master Vehicle Owner's decision!"

"Meow meow roar!"

Cat Xiaoxiao nodded her cat head, indicating that everything you said was correct, and she agreed with it all.

Qin Yun maintained his serious expression and said: "Xiao Qi, the Gold-eating Ants are not big enough, so opening fire directly is not cost-effective. Therefore, the energy gathering gun will just be responsible for protection; at the same time, you must keep an eye on the surroundings!"

"Xiaoxiao, Filia, and I will get off the vehicle and find a way to lure a portion of the Gold-eating Ants out, then kill them in close combat. Remember, do not walk into the valley under any circumstances!"

"In addition, although there is the energy gathering gun for protection, it can only fire once per second and will consume energy, so we must be vigilant at all times. Especially you, Xiaoxiao, your attack range is short, so you must be extra careful!"

"The tricycle can increase recovery speed. If you feel tired, return to the tricycle immediately to rest. You all have beast meat and ox horn powder water in your space rings. We are not short of these, so feel free to eat and drink boldly!"

"That's it. Do you have any opinions?"

Qin Yun picked up the water cup on the table and took a big gulp of ox horn powder water.

Unsurprisingly, Cat Xiaoxiao, Qin Xiaoqi, and Filia had no other opinions; at most, they only provided some supplements and improvements to his decision.

For example, switching to using the tricycle to lure the Gold-eating Ants!

Two and a half minutes later.

Dressed neatly, Qin Yun, Cat Xiaoxiao, and Filia got off the tricycle.

The tricycle controlled by Qin Xiaoqi also moved toward the valley at this time, at a speed that was neither fast nor slow.

To improve visibility, the primary fog disperser had been activated, and the thick fog within a 300-meter radius had been dispersed.

Not long after, the tricycle moving forward stopped. The left rear light flashed twice in succession, paused for a moment, then flashed six times in succession, and then began to slowly reverse.

Twenty-six Gold-eating Ants had been lured over!

"Let's go. Twenty-six is not many; it's just right for adapting. The effect of the ox horn powder water can be maintained continuously."

Qin Yun took a sip of ox horn powder water and walked toward the retreating tricycle first.

Cat Xiaoxiao and Filia also took out their ox horn powder water, took a sip, and then followed Qin Yun's pace.

Immediately, the tricycle gradually increased its speed while adjusting the direction of its retreat.

Twenty-six Gold-eating Ants crawling on the ground also appeared in Qin Yun and the others' field of vision.

"Go, remember to use the metal blocks to disperse them!"

After speaking, Qin Yun quickened his pace and took the initiative to charge toward the crawling Gold-eating Ants.

At the same time, a 20-jin copper block appeared out of thin air in his left hand, and the primary bone-pattern longsword appeared in his right hand.

Sturdy buffs the primary bone-pattern longsword, triggering the Focus entry!
