Inside the base command center, alarm lights flashed wildly, and the piercing alarm intertwined with the roars of the giant beast.

The Security Captain stared intently at the monitoring screen, sweat dripping from his forehead.

The aerial drone swarm immediately changed formation, with attack drones carrying high-explosive warheads quickly moving forward.

The ground forces' electromagnetic railgun array began charging, emitting a heart-pounding hum. The laser turrets' lens groups adjusted their angles, focusing on the giant beast's vital points.

"Fire!"

As the order was given, the entire base's firepower system erupted simultaneously.

High-explosive warheads detonated in bursts of fire on the giant beast's body, electromagnetic railgun projectiles tore through the air at several times the speed of sound, and high-energy lasers scorched blinding white light onto the giant beast's crystalline scales.

The fierce explosions made the entire canyon tremble, and dense smoke and dust instantly enveloped the giant beast's figure. People in the command center held their breath, anxiously awaiting the result.

"Is the target eliminated?" the Security Captain asked urgently.

However, his answer was an even more violent roar.

The smoke and dust were dispersed by the sound waves, revealing the giant beast's scarred but still standing figure. Large areas of its crystalline scales were damaged, and blue-gold viscous liquid continuously gushed from multiple wounds.

But these wounds were healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Although the healing speed was not fast, at the current rate, it would fully recover in at most five minutes.

"Damn it! Even that couldn't kill it?" a young operations staff officer exclaimed in shock.

The giant beast seemed to be completely enraged. Its dozens of asymmetrical eyes simultaneously locked onto the base's core facilities, emitting a low growl full of killing intent.

Immediately, it took heavy steps, ignoring the continued barrage of gunfire, and charged directly towards the energy center.

"It's going to destroy our energy system!" the technician reported in horror, "Without energy, all defense systems will be paralyzed!"

The Security Captain immediately realized the seriousness of the situation.

"All available units, stop it at all costs! Activate emergency protocol! Authorized to use all ammunition!"

More drones took off from the hangar, unmanned combat vehicles drove out from bunkers, and even engineering robots were temporarily armed and thrown into battle.

The base brought out all its resources, vowing to eliminate this terrifying invader outside the energy center.

The giant beast also seemed to realize that this was a moment of life and death. It no longer avoided attacks but endured the barrage with its body, while frantically destroying everything in its path with its crystalline tentacles.

Defense works collapsed like paper in front of it, and the explosions of gunfire constantly flashed on its body.

The giant beast, focused on its charge, was unprepared for attacks on its lower body. Its left leg joint was repeatedly hit by electromagnetic railguns, causing it to let out a painful roar, and its massive body swayed.

"Effective! Continue the attack!" A glimmer of hope flashed in the Security Captain's eyes.

But the giant beast quickly found a countermeasure. It protected its vital points with its tentacles, while accelerating its crawl, rushing towards the energy center.

Along the way, it destroyed four turrets and twelve combat vehicles, swatting down close-attacking drones like flies from the sky.

"Captain! Our losses are too great!" the logistics officer reported anxiously, "Only twenty percent of drones remain, combat vehicle losses exceed one-third, and ammunition reserves are almost depleted!"

The Security Captain looked at the giant beast, which was getting closer on the screen, gritted his teeth, and issued the final order: "Activate the last ammunition reserves! Saturation attack! I want to blast it to smithereens before it reaches the energy center!"

The base's last remaining resources were brought out. All high-explosive weapons in the reserves were activated, the remaining drones were loaded with suicide warheads, and combat vehicles loaded their last ammunition into the breeches.

"Fire! Fire! Fire!"

The final rain of bullets swept towards the giant beast like the scythe of death. The explosions illuminated the entire canyon as if it were daytime, and the shockwaves shattered the command center's glass.

When the smoke gradually cleared, people saw a shocking scene.

The giant beast was still standing, but it was disfigured. It had lost two legs and three tentacles, its body was covered with bone-deep wounds, and blue-gold blood gushed out like a waterfall.

But it had not fallen, supporting its body with its remaining tentacles. It let out one last roar full of unwillingness, then lunged forward, its target still the energy center.

"No!" A cry of alarm erupted in the command center.

Just at this critical moment, the last batch of suicide drones crashed into the giant beast's head. The violent explosion finally became the last straw that broke the camel's back.

The giant beast's massive body swayed a few times, then finally crashed to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.

Silence descended upon the entire canyon, broken only by occasional aftershocks of explosions and the groans of the wounded.

"Con... confirmed target has lost vital signs," the monitor's voice trembled as he reported.

Cheers of relief erupted in the command center, but the Security Captain slumped in his chair, looking at the loss report without a word. The cost of this victory was truly too heavy.

In the Nova People Capital's administrative center, Kane's office was shrouded in a heavy atmosphere.

A huge holographic projection screen was playing combat records sent back from the frontline base, with every movement of the blue-white giant beast replayed in slow motion.

"Did you notice the anomaly in the healing process?" Kane's voice was low and serious, "This regeneration speed definitely cannot be produced by natural evolution."

The senior advisors in the office exchanged glances. The Minister of Defense hesitated before speaking: "Mr. President, do you mean?"

"The preliminary analysis report of the liquid components inside the giant beast has made it very clear: life milk is the main component."

"And among all the forces we know of now, only three know about and possess life milk: us, Erwin, and the Company."

The security advisor gasped: "Do you think this is a biological weapon manufactured by Erwin?"

"Not just think, I'm almost certain. Besides him, no one else would attack us, especially with something like this."

The Interior Minister frowned and asked: "But President, why would Erwin attack us? What good would it do him?"
