377: I'm so angry

The process of installing fusion bombs was like a silent dance on the tip of a knife. Every second felt incredibly long, and every breath carried the scent of metal mixed with tension.

"Point A installed!" Zhao Qiang's voice rang out. He knelt on a protruding metal platform beneath the giant sphere, steadily tightening the last fastening bolt with both hands.

The cylindrical fusion bomb's surface flickered with a faint blue indicator light, starkly out of place with the surrounding purplish-gold glow.

"Point B confirmed!" Lin Tao's voice followed. He was on the other side of the spherical space, near the sticky, multicolored milky lake.

He carefully placed the bomb on the edge of the flat "lake surface" and then locked it into place.

Morning Light stood on a relatively high vantage point between the two, his gaze sweeping across the entire space, while also warily watching the purplish-gold giant sphere that was still slowly contracting in the center.

His unease grew stronger and stronger. It was too quiet, too smooth. Would such a powerful consciousness so easily allow them to install weapons capable of causing severe damage in its core area?

Or perhaps these weapons couldn't harm him at all.

"Captain, all explosives are in place, and the detonation program synchronization is complete. Countdown set... ten minutes." Wang Wei's voice came, with a hint of relief, "We can evacuate now."

"Received. All attention, follow the original route, quickly--" Morning Light's command was not yet finished.

When Taiyi's consciousness was ejected from the higher-dimensional space back into its main body, the atmosphere of the entire spherical space instantly solidified, and the dark giant sphere, which had been slowly contracting, suddenly erupted with dazzling purplish-gold light.

Suddenly, as if a silent psychic bomb detonated deep within everyone's minds, the mental pressure that had always been present but bearable, abruptly intensified a thousandfold!

"Ugh ah--!"

Screams erupted almost simultaneously.

It wasn't sound, but the wailing of consciousness. Like a tangible tsunami, it carried a cold, absolute, undeniable will, fiercely crashing against everyone's mental barriers.

Even with specialized shielded helmets filtering it, this power was like a red-hot iron poker, directly piercing into their brains.

Morning Light felt his head about to split open, his vision instantly blurred, leaving only that dazzling purplish-gold light. His thoughts almost solidified, every turn of a thought becoming incredibly difficult, like struggling to move forward in solidified cement.

He tried to move his arm, but found that the simple act of raising it became like slow motion, heavy as a thousand pounds. In his ears were the heavy, pained gasps of his teammates, mixed with the harsh noise of overloaded instruments.

"War...ning...mental...impact...exceeding threshold..." On his tactical goggles, red warning text flickered intermittently.

He struggled to raise his head, looking towards the center of the space.

The purplish-gold giant sphere, now radiating intensely, its surface patterns swirling at an unprecedented speed, like billions of glowing circuits activating at the same instant.

The light within the entire spherical space became distorted and bizarre, as if viewing the world through shimmering crystal. The air, or rather the medium within this space, suddenly became viscous, and an invisible power of Order surged from all directions.

Like countless cold, colossal hands formed from rules, they fiercely squeezed their bodies, trying to fix every molecule in place, to incorporate them into the framework of absolute Order.

Taiyi didn't even use any flashy techniques; merely concentrating its vast conscious power and the authority of Order for the most direct suppression was almost enough to completely dismantle this well-equipped, determined elite squad.

"Move... it!" Morning Light squeezed out a few words through gritted teeth, sweat instantly soaking his undershirt, trickling down his temples, leaving winding trails on his helmet visor.

He saw Zhao Qiang trying to reach for the weapon at his waist, but his movements were as slow as a puppet show. Lin Tao half-knelt on the "lake surface," his body leaning forward, but unable to complete the action of standing up. Wang Wei clutched her head, curling up in pain.

Despair, like a cold viper, for the first time so clearly entwined itself around the hearts of every team member. They had faced powerful enemies, experienced fierce battles, but never before had they felt so powerless, unable to even gather the thought of resistance.

Even when dueling with the powerful individuals within the company, they had never felt such helplessness.

In the face of power at this level, their proud tactics, equipment, and will all seemed so ridiculous and insignificant.

'Is this... the Emissary's wrath? It's even more powerful than the Director and the others!'

The purplish-gold giant sphere's light grew even more intense, the energy on its surface highly condensed, and at its center, a tiny, dark singularity that seemed to devour all light even began to appear.

The surrounding power of Order further constricted, and the air emitted a hum of unbearable strain.

Taiyi clearly had no intention of wasting any more time. It intended to directly erase these audacious "bugs" along with the "trouble" they brought, from this orderly world, annihilating them into their most basic particles, returning them to the embrace of Order.

Destructive energy condensed ahead, and the shadow of death loomed. Morning Light could even feel the casing of the fusion bomb he installed subtly vibrating under that force, as if it would be prematurely detonated the next moment, or worse, directly disintegrated.

Is it over?

Just at this critical moment, a miracle, or rather, a well-prepared gift, quietly bloomed.

Morning Light was the first to feel the anomaly. A gentle warmth suddenly emanated from the inner pocket of his tactical vest.

It wasn't physical heat, but a spiritual sensation, like a spring breeze caressing a frozen land. Immediately after, a soft iridescent light radiated from his chest and the chest of every squad member!

It was the strand of white hair given by Pexito.

The rainbow light wasn't dazzling, but it carried an indescribable penetrating power. It ignored Taiyi's terrifying mental pressure and the crushing force of Order, like an invisible umbrella opened in a storm.

The light swirled, seemingly containing countless minute, harmoniously resonating notes.

In an instant, Morning Light felt the pressure that had almost crushed his consciousness suddenly lighten by more than half.

His headache rapidly receded, and his rigid thoughts became fluid again. What shocked him even more was that he seemed to "feel" the presence of the other team members in a profound way.

Not through sight or hearing, but a direct telepathic connection. He could vaguely sense Zhao Qiang's resolve, Lin Tao's alertness, and Wang Wei's urgency.

It was as if their spirits, connected by the rainbow light, had momentarily formed a weak but definite resonance network.

"This is...?" Lin Tao looked in astonishment at the rainbow light emanating from his chest, tried to move his arm, and found that while it was still heavy, he could move it more freely.

"Pexito's 'talisman'?" Zhao Qiang gasped, seizing the opportunity to grab the weapon beside him, though his aiming motion was still somewhat distorted.

"What's going on? Is it that powerful?"

The appearance of the rainbow light not only greatly alleviated their suffering but also, to some extent, interfered with Taiyi's domain of absolute Order, carving out a small breathing space for them in their desperate situation.

"Hmm?"

A gender-neutral utterance, yet containing boundless majesty and a hint of clear surprise, like a cold stone, dropped directly into everyone's sea of consciousness.

This time, they confirmed that this sound of doubt clearly came from the purplish-gold giant sphere, Taiyi.

It could not comprehend.

This power, this power that had recently clashed with It in that higher dimension, why would it appear on these tiny mortals who should be easily crushed?

How could these "bugs" possibly establish a connection with an existence on the same level as It? Taiyi's logical chain encountered an inexplicable phenomenon at this moment.

Just as Taiyi experienced an extremely brief moment of stagnation due to surprise, the rainbow light emanating from the team members' chests suddenly intensified.

The light was no longer merely radiating from the talisman but began to actively distort the surrounding space.

The light became viscous and curved, like stirred honey, and the boundary between reality and illusion blurred at this moment. Morning Light felt the ground beneath his feet seemed to soften, and the surrounding scenery began to sway and peel away like a reflection in water.

"Spatial fluctuations! Abnormally strong spatial fluctuations!" Wang Wei cried out, looking at the frantically jumping data on the detector, "We, we seem to be getting teleported!?"

Taiyi immediately sensed this attempt, turning from surprise to furious indignation at being played with.

Mere mortals, not only carrying weapons capable of threatening its main body, but also bearing the blessing of an enemy, and now they even dared to try and escape right under its nose?

"Order, not to be desecrated!"

An even more terrifying will descended again like a tsunami, attempting to forcibly stabilize the fluctuating space.

The purplish-gold giant sphere violently shook, and an invisible shockwave containing the concept of absolute Order, with It as its core, rapidly expanded in all directions like a supernova explosion.

Wherever the shockwave passed, the space emitted a crisp sound like shattering glass, and the viscous, multicolored milky lake surface was forcibly pressed downwards, creating violent "solid waves."

This was a direct release of path power, a furious strike from Taiyi, aimed at completely "correcting" all unstable elements, along with the space itself.

The rainbow light and the Order shockwave collided head-on!

There was no deafening explosion, only an indescribable sight. The rainbow light violently twisted and flickered, as if it could shatter at any moment.

The team members, caught within it, felt like they were thrown into a rapidly spinning drum, their world spinning, unable to distinguish up from down, left from right, able only to tightly grasp the source of the rainbow light on their chests, which was their only hope at that moment.

In the last moment before his consciousness blurred, torn by the violent spatial changes, Morning Light, through the distorted light and shadows, stared fixedly at the purplish-gold giant sphere radiating infinite majesty and wrath, and at the fusion bombs still installed in their designated positions, their indicator lights still stubbornly flickering.

The countdown was still continuing.

The next moment, brilliant rainbow light consumed all their senses. Then, everything returned to nothingness and silence.

They appeared at the place where they had first landed.
