162: Chapter 162 Give Me a Kiss

Wang Yang backhanded him with another slap.

"Slap!"

The other side of his face swelled up too, making it symmetrical.

One slap, then another.

"Slap! Slap! Slap!"

The crisp sounds echoed through the corridor, and the crowd of onlookers grew larger.

But no one dared to make a sound; it was so quiet that only the sound of slaps and Li San's screams remained.

Li San's face was swollen like a pig's head, his mouth was covered in blood, his nose was bleeding, and his tears and snot were mixed together, smeared all over his face.

He tried to struggle, but Wang Yang's hand, which was gripping his collar, was like an iron clamp, immovable.

Wang Yang stopped and looked at him.

"Li San, you listen to me carefully."

His voice wasn't loud, but it was exceptionally clear in the quiet corridor.

Every word was like a nail driven into Li San's ears.

"Luo Shiyun is my woman now. If you dare to touch a single finger of hers, I will break your hand. If you dare to say one word against her, I will smash your mouth."

He tightened his grip on the collar by an inch.

"Last time in the corridor, I told you that if you harassed her again, I would beat you every time I saw you. Do you think I was joking with you?"

Li San shook his head desperately, spraying tears and blood everywhere.

"No, I won't dare to again. I'll never dare to again."

Wang Yang stared into his eyes, enunciating every word.

"Remember that. Next time, I won't just use slaps."

He let go.

Li San collapsed on the ground like a pile of mud, his face swollen so much that even his own mother wouldn't recognize him.

He was trembling all over, without even the strength to get up.

Wang Yang stood up and turned around.

Luo Shiyun stood where she was, staring at him blankly.

Her eyes were wide open, her mouth slightly agape, and she looked as if she had been frozen in place.

She had just watched with her own eyes as Wang Yang kicked Li San flying.

She watched him grab Li San by the collar and slap him again and again, and she watched him say, "She is my, Wang Yang's, woman."

Her heart was beating fast, so fast it felt like it was going to jump out of her throat.

It wasn't because of fear.

It was because she was moved.

It was because this man, for her sake, really dared to do anything.

Wang Yang walked up to her and reached out to take her hand.

"Let's go."

Luo Shiyun came back to her senses, looked at him, and her eyes turned red again.

She nodded vigorously.

"Mm."

Wang Yang bent down, picked up the paper bags scattered on the ground one by one, patted off the dust, and carried them in his hand.

He went back to the milk tea shop and bought another Taro Bobo, less sugar, warm, inserted the straw, and handed it to Luo Shiyun.

"The last one spilled. This one is new."

Luo Shiyun took the milk tea and lowered her head to take a sip.

The warm liquid slid down her throat, warming her heart.

Wang Yang took her hand, interlacing their fingers.

The two of them turned and walked towards the Shopping Mall exit.

Behind them, Li San was still collapsed on the ground, his face swollen like a pig's head, trembling all over.

The crowd of onlookers automatically made a path, watching them leave.

A young girl tugged at her boyfriend's sleeve and whispered.

"That guy is so handsome. He just started fighting for his girlfriend."

"Yeah, so manly. His girlfriend is so lucky."

Luo Shiyun kept her head down, sipping her milk tea, the corners of her mouth slowly curling up.

Half of her face was still swollen, and there were still traces of blood at the corner of her mouth.

But inside, she had never felt so secure.

Wang Yang held her hand, walking beside her at a steady pace.

"Does it still hurt?"

Luo Shiyun shook her head.

"It doesn't hurt anymore."

Wang Yang turned his head to look at her.

"When we get back later, I'll give you an ice pack."

Luo Shiyun nodded.

"Okay."

The two walked out of the Shopping Mall entrance, and the afternoon sun shone on them, warm and pleasant.

Luo Shiyun leaned on his shoulder, sipping her milk tea, her eyes narrowing.

Her eyes were filled only with him.

...

After what happened with Li San, neither of them had the mood to continue shopping.

Wang Yang led Luo Shiyun towards the parking lot, his pace steady.

Luo Shiyun walked beside him with her head down; the milk tea in her hand had already gone cold.

A faint lipstick mark was left on the straw.

Half of her face was still swollen, even though she had been pressing the cold milk tea cup against it the whole way.

The swelling had gone down a little, but it was still visible if you looked closely.

The two walked out of the Shopping Mall entrance, and the afternoon sun shone on them.

They walked over to the black X5M.

Wang Yang took out the car keys and pressed them, causing the car lights to flash twice.

He opened the passenger door, and just as Luo Shiyun was about to bend down to get in, she suddenly paused.

"Brother Yang."

Wang Yang turned back to look at her.

"Hm?"

Luo Shiyun bit her lip, her fingers gently rubbing against the milk tea cup.

"I just remembered there's something I need to take care of."

Wang Yang frowned slightly.

"What is it? I'll go with you."

Luo Shiyun shook her head.

"No, no need. It's just over there, very close. You wait for me here, I'll be back very soon."

Wang Yang looked at her without saying anything.

The scene with Li San was still fresh in his mind, and he really didn't feel comfortable leaving her alone.

Luo Shiyun noticed his concern, took a step forward, leaned against him, and looked up at him.

Her eyes were watery, and her eyelashes fluttered gently like two little fans.

"Brother Yang, I'll really be back soon. Ten minutes—no, five minutes will be enough."

Her voice was soft and sweet, carrying a deliberate sweetness.

Wang Yang was stunned for a moment.

Luo Shiyun acting spoiled—this was like the sun rising from the west.

She was usually as shy as a rabbit, blushing even after saying a few extra words, let alone acting spoiled on her own initiative.

The corners of his mouth slowly curled up, and he reached out to wrap his arm around her waist.

"Then kiss me. If you kiss me, I'll let you go."

Luo Shiyun's face turned red instantly.

"We're, we're outside."

Wang Yang raised an eyebrow.

"So what if we're outside? No one is watching."

Luo Shiyun bit her lip and looked around; there really wasn't anyone in the parking lot.

She stood on tiptoe and quickly kissed him on the face, like a chick pecking at rice, shrinking back after just a touch.

Her face was so red it felt like it was burning.

Wang Yang laughed, his hand sliding down from her waist to give her bottom a light tap.

"Go ahead. Come back early. Five minutes; I won't wait even a second longer."

Luo Shiyun nodded, blushing, and turned to walk away quickly.

After walking a few steps, she turned back to look at him again.

Wang Yang was leaning against the car door, watching her with a smile.

Her heart skipped a few more beats, and she hurriedly turned her head away, jogging until she disappeared around the corner of the Shopping Mall side door.

Wang Yang watched her figure disappear, smiled, opened the car door, and sat in the driver's seat.

He rolled down the car window, letting the afternoon breeze rush in.

He reached into the glove box and pulled out a pack of cigarettes—Liqun, the red hard box, eighteen yuan a pack.

He pulled one out, put it in his mouth, took out a lighter, brought the flame to it, and took a puff.

The smoke swirled in his lungs and slowly overflowed from his nostrils, dissipating as soon as the wind from outside the car window blew it away.

Wang Yang leaned back in his seat, his fingers holding the cigarette, resting it on the car window sill.

He now had tens of millions in his account; what kind of good cigarettes couldn't he afford?

cigarette brand, Jiuwu, Huanghelou 1916—he could smoke whatever he wanted.

But he was still used to smoking Liqun.

The first cigarette of his life was a Liqun.

That was back when he first started working, on a construction site, handed to him by an old foreman.
