43: Chapter 43 Divorce your husband as soon as possible

Her eyes were glistening with moisture, her cheeks were flushed crimson, her lips were slightly swollen and red, and her whole body was impossibly soft.

Wang Yang looked down at Wen Yulan.

Her appearance was more moving than any words could describe.

No wonder Senior Cao had a unique love for married women; having experienced it firsthand today, he finally understood the charm of it.

The innocence of a young girl is certainly moving.

But the ripe allure and perfectly measured consideration of a married woman...

...and that provocative energy hidden within her gentleness, is what truly captivates the soul.

It's no wonder they say those who have experienced it know best; once you've tried this flavor, you can never forget it.

Wang Yang reached out, gently pinched her chin, and tilted her face up.

"Sister Wen."

Wen Yulan looked at him, her eyes hazy.

Wang Yang's voice was low, carrying a hint of rogueishness.

"Were you uncomfortable last night?"

Wen Yulan was stunned.

Wang Yang continued, a smile playing on the corners of his lips.

"You performed wonderfully last night; I'm very satisfied. Aren't I more useful than that incompetent husband of yours?"

Wen Yulan's face turned bright red in an instant.

She thought back to the scenes from last night.

Those crazy, intense scenes that made her whole body tremble.

Those things she had never experienced in the five years of her marriage...

That husband of hers had long since lost interest in her.

In the beginning, the two of them had been intimate every day.

Three years after marriage, things started to cool down.

He would only touch her once every six months or a year, and each time he would rush through it, as if completing a chore.

It wasn't that Wen Yulan wasn't lonely, but she had gotten used to it and accepted her fate.

But last night...

Wang Yang let her know what a real man was, and what a real woman was.

He let her know that this kind of thing could be so... pleasurable.

Wen Yulan lowered her head, not daring to look at him.

But deep inside, something was already quietly changing.

Wang Yang looked at her, knowing she was wavering.

He reached out and pulled her closer into his embrace.

"Sister Wen, don't think about running away."

Wen Yulan leaned against his chest, listening to his powerful heartbeat.

"Do you think I would let you go?"

Wang Yang's voice was very soft, yet carried an unquestionable domineering tone.

"From the moment you were in my arms last night, you were already mine."

Wen Yulan bit her lip, unable to speak.

Wang Yang's hand gently stroked her back, and the warm touch made her whole body go limp.

"Follow me from now on, and I won't treat you poorly."

Wen Yulan was silent for a long time.

She thought of that husband who had betrayed her.

She thought of his cold gaze, and the heartless words he had said.

She thought of her grievances over the years, her loneliness, and her endurance.

Then she thought of Wang Yang's tenderness last night, and the things he had said.

She thought of the sense of security she felt when he held her.

She nodded gently.

Wang Yang smiled.

He lowered his head and kissed her on the forehead.

"That's a good girl."

Wen Yulan buried her face in his chest, not daring to look at him.

But a smile quietly curled at the corners of her lips.

Wang Yang's hand slowly moved down from her back and landed on that spot.

Wen Yulan shivered all over.

"Xiao Yang..."

Wang Yang whispered in her ear.

"Does it still hurt?"

Wen Yulan's face flushed red as if it were bleeding, and she said in a low voice.

"Yes, a little."

Wang Yang smiled.

"Then I'll be gentle."

Wen Yulan was stunned.

"You, you're doing it again..."

Wang Yang had already turned over and pressed her beneath him.

"What, you don't want to?"

Wen Yulan looked at him, looking at the smile and tenderness in his eyes.

Her heart was pounding.

She bit her lip and shook her head gently.

Wang Yang lowered his head and kissed her lips.

The sunlight outside the window was just right, shining onto the bed and falling upon the two of them.

Wen Yulan closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck.

This time, she didn't resist at all.

...

Two hours later.

The sunlight had moved from one side of the floor-to-ceiling window to the other, shining onto the bed, warm and cozy.

Wen Yulan leaned in Wang Yang's arms, her whole body as soft as a puddle of water.

Her face still bore an unfaded flush, and happiness was written all over her eyes and brows, impossible to hide.

The corners of her lips remained slightly upturned, and she couldn't keep them down even if they tried.

Wang Yang looked down at her and reached out to brush the sweat-dampened strands of hair from her forehead.

"What are you thinking about?"

Wen Yulan shook her head and buried her face deeper into his chest.

"Nothing..."

Her voice was soft and sweet, carrying the languor of having just experienced a storm.

Wang Yang smiled.

"If you aren't thinking of anything, why are you smiling so happily?"

Wen Yulan lifted her head and looked at him.

Looking at this young face, looking at those gentle eyes, an indescribable feeling surged in her heart.

She said softly.

"Xiao Yang, thank you."

Wang Yang raised an eyebrow.

"Thank you for what?"

Wen Yulan bit her lip and thought about it.

"Thank you for saving me last night. Thank you for staying with me today. Thank you for letting me know that I could still be this happy."

Wang Yang looked at her earnest expression, and his heart softened.

He reached out and pulled her closer into his embrace.

"Sister Wen, why be so polite with me?"

Wen Yulan leaned against his chest, listening to his powerful heartbeat, feeling very secure.

The two of them just held each other quietly, neither speaking.

After a while, Wang Yang suddenly spoke.

"Sister Wen."

"Hmm?"

Wang Yang's voice was calm, yet carried an unquestionable domineering tone.

"Divorce that incompetent husband of yours as soon as possible."

Wen Yulan was stunned for a moment.

Wang Yang continued.

"I don't want my woman to still have that kind of relationship with another man. Even if it's just in name, it won't do."

Wen Yulan looked at him, at the seriousness in his eyes.

She thought of the man who had betrayed her.

She thought of his cold gaze, and the indifferent tone he used when talking about divorce.

There was not a shred of attachment in her heart.

Wen Yulan nodded.

"Okay. I'll tell him now."

Wang Yang raised an eyebrow.

"Now?"

Wen Yulan nodded and reached for the phone on the bedside table.

She unlocked the screen, opened WeChat, and found the chat box labeled "Husband."

She stared at that name for a few seconds.

Once, this person was her everything.

She had given him five years of her youth, cooked for him, and waited for him to come home until late at night.

The result was betrayal, indifference, and having nothing left.

Now, looking at this name again, there was only disgust in her heart.

Wen Yulan began to type.

"I agree to the divorce. The house, the car, the savings—I don't want any of it. Hurry up and get the paperwork done tomorrow. The sooner the better; I don't want to drag this out any longer."

After finishing, she read it over once.

Decisive, clean, without any hesitation.

She pressed send.

The moment the message was sent, Wen Yulan suddenly felt much lighter.

It was as if a large stone that had been pressing down on her had finally been lifted.

Wang Yang looked at her and smiled.

"So decisive?"

Wen Yulan put the phone down and leaned back into his arms.

"There's nothing to be attached to. He hasn't been the person I knew for a long time."

Wang Yang reached out and gently stroked her hair.

"Do you need me to step in? If you do, call me anytime. I'll arrange for lawyers and such."

Wen Yulan shook her head.

"No need. I don't want anything, and he'll be delighted by that. It should be finished by tomorrow."
