4: Chapter 4 I am Spider-Man

Hulk paused for a moment, turned his head to look at him, and then bared his teeth, letting out a roar. With no more worries, Hulk's offensive instantly turned violent, smashing fist after fist into Abomination, forcing him to retreat step by step.

Peter took the opportunity to rush to the helicopter, dragging out the injured and unconscious soldiers one by one. But just then, Abomination was sent flying by a punch from Hulk, crashing heavily into a nearby building. After steadying himself, his scarlet eyes swept over the retreating crowd, revealing a cruel expression.

He grabbed the wrecking ball on the ground, swung his arm around, and hurled it fiercely toward the crowd!

"Look out!"

Peter's Spider-Sense screamed a warning, and a cold sweat instantly broke out on his back. He pushed off the ground, shooting forward like an arrow from a bowstring. The chain, carrying a powerful gust of wind, grazed his back and smashed into the ground, sending gravel flying.

Seeing he had missed, Abomination roared and swung his fist toward him.

Relying on his agile movements, Peter dodged continuously, weaving through the gaps in Abomination's attacks. He knew his strength was far inferior to his opponent's; going head-to-head would be suicide.

The web-shooter had been jarred earlier, and one had already developed a crack. He dodged a heavy punch from Abomination, seized the momentum to leap onto his arm, and slammed a fist into Abomination's stomach.

With a muffled thud, Abomination's body faltered, but Peter didn't have it easy either; the recoil made his hand go numb, and the damaged web-shooter on his wrist shattered completely.

A massive amount of Webbing sprayed out instantly, firmly sticking his arm to Abomination's torso.

"Damn it!"

Peter's heart sank. Abomination looked down and saw the "little bug" stuck to him, his eyes turning even more ferocious as he swung his other hand down hard.

In this critical moment, his mind raced. Using the elasticity of the Webbing, he leaped, dodging the giant palm while rapidly winding the spraying Webbing around Abomination's arms, forcefully binding them to his chest.

But this wouldn't last long. Abomination's strength was too terrifying; the Webbing was already beginning to make cracking sounds as it strained.

He had to end this quickly!

Peter's eyes narrowed, and using the tension of the Webbing, he leaped onto Abomination's shoulder. He raised his only remaining intact web-shooter, aimed it at the monster's nostrils and mouth, and pulled the trigger repeatedly.

Several thick streams of Webbing sprayed out instantly, tightly blocking Abomination's airways.

After doing all this, he immediately snapped the Webbing attached to himself, used the momentum to backflip a dozen meters, and landed steadily.

Abomination struggled wildly, his thick fingers desperately trying to claw at the Webbing on his mouth and nose, but his fingers were too thick to reach in. The more agitated he became, the faster he consumed oxygen, and his massive body swayed as his movements slowed down.

A few seconds later, his eyes rolled back, and with a loud boom, he collapsed heavily to the ground, completely unconscious.

The battlefield fell silent instantly.

The surrounding soldiers and the newly arrived Police all stared in stunned silence at the red figure in the middle of the field. No one had expected that this masked man who suddenly appeared had actually taken down that terrifying monster.

General Ross walked over quickly, eyeing him sharply, and asked in a deep voice: "Who are you?"

Peter panted, suppressing the surging blood in his chest.

He looked at the shaken crowd around him and the smoking ruins in the distance, his mind clearer than ever before.

From the moment he chose to step forward, Peter's old life had ended.

From now on, he was Spider-Man.

"I am Spider-Man."

He left those words behind, raised his hand to shoot a strand of Webbing at a nearby rooftop, leaped, and swung away into the night.

Leaving behind only the chaotic battlefield and a group of shocked people.

A dozen minutes later, in an alley.

Peter changed back into his own clothes, stuffed the makeshift suit into his backpack, and threw it into the burning wreckage of a nearby car. All traces were swallowed by the Fire, leaving nothing behind.

When he found Mary Jane, the girl was pacing anxiously, and upon seeing him return safely, she threw herself at him.

"Where did you go! You scared me to death!"

"I went to help save a few people," Peter smiled, brushing it off lightly. "Oh, by the way, a masked man in red stepped in and took the monster down. Everyone is calling him... Spider-Man."

Mary Jane blinked, stared at him for a few seconds, and didn't press for details, just gave a soft huff: "Fine, you win. Don't run off like that again."

On the train back, Mary Jane leaned on his shoulder and whispered: "Peter, you were very brave today."

Peter looked at the lights flashing by outside the window, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly.

He used to think that being a hero or not was a choice.

Only today did he realize that some paths are destined the moment you possess power.

With great power comes great responsibility.

His path as Spider-Man had only just begun.

And what he didn't know was that after this battle in Harlem, the name "Spider-Man" had already quietly appeared on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s surveillance list.
