57: End of Chapter 57

The Lord God had told him that these enemies before him... were very likely enemies that some powerful existence had faced in the past.

Even after death, this great existence insisted on constantly recreating their consciousness within a dream, just to make them repeatedly relive the fear of their deaths...

Thinking about this, Thranduil felt a chill...

The great existence that Father God spoke of really had a nasty personality... and was quite vindictive.

However, Thranduil dared not entertain this thought, as Father God had specifically emphasized this to him.

Slightly regaining his focus, he saw this Tier-3 Tigermen charging at him unarmed...

Thranduil swung the sword in his hand, instantly beheading this Tier-3 Tigermen, and even slicing off the arms that the Tigermen Grom had used to block his head...

After finishing off this Tier-3 Tigermen, there remained one Tier-3 Gnoll from Father God's order. Looking at the two Tier-3 Gnolls nearby, who should he choose...

"Hmm... I'll pick the one with lighter injuries; it'll reduce the difficulty for the Moonlight Elves."

With this thought, Thranduil carried his sword... and walked toward the Tier-3 Gnoll, Silu, not far away.

Silu, standing not far away, had watched the entire time as this "small" enemy... cleanly and efficiently finished off Grom, the strongest of their side.

Moreover, the direction he was walking in seemed to be toward him? He still wanted to kill him!!

Terrified, Silu howled and charged toward the large shields in front. If he couldn't surrender, he would rather die surrounded by these little things in front than have his head chopped off by this absurd enemy.

Too terrifying...

Silu's mace smashed heavily against the large shields in front, but he discovered that these shield-bearing little things would not engage him head-on at all.

Whenever Silu's mace strike landed, the Tier-2 Elf Shield Guards would collectively step back half a step, making Silu's attack feel like it was smashing into a mattress.

What was even more infuriating was that, despite his fierce attacks, there wasn't even a mark left on these shields...

After hammering the large shields a few times and seeing that it was ineffective, Silu's expression grew increasingly panicked... The devil behind him was about to approach him!

After being pushed out by the shield bearers in front again, Silu felt that the direction he was retreating in was actually toward the devil behind him...

Silu reflexively wanted to make a pleading expression toward Thranduil, but his hideous face only made Thranduil frown slightly...

Without chatting with this strange Gnoll, with another swing of his sword, he chopped off the head of this Tier-3 Gnoll as well.

After completing the mission assigned by Father God, Thranduil looked around at the battlefield; the main force of the monster army had already clashed with the Elves.

However, they were all blocked by the Elves' large shields and had not disturbed Lin Ye and Angel, who were behind the Elves...

The remaining three Tier-3 enemies had also been lured to an open area near the battlefield by several Elf Squads...

The other Elves engaging Tier-1 and Tier-2 enemies, equipped with the gear bestowed by Father God, could decapitate them as if nothing had happened, even after being hit head-on by their attacks.

For this group of poorly equipped mobs, as long as the Elves weren't hit directly in the face, the damage wasn't significant, and they couldn't even leave a mark on the armor...

It was still a one-sided massacre, so Thranduil returned to Lin Ye's side, turning his attention back to the remaining three Tier-3 enemies.

Being the same Tier-3, it turned out these Tier-3 enemies were so weak that they weren't even fit to carry the shoes of the High Priest and the Elf King...

Knowing that the attacks of these Tier-3 enemies wouldn't have much effect on them, the Elf Squads became more aggressive.

In one battle formation, the Tier-3 Gnoll, Rige, was surrounded by two Elf Squads. This time, the Elves didn't circle around it anymore; they wanted a quick victory...

Two spears struck first, stabbing fiercely toward the chest of the Gnoll, Rige. Seeing this sudden change in the enemies' attacking style, Rige dared not underestimate them.

Enduring the arrows stuck in its back, Rige used its mace to smash away these two spear attacks, but its own hands were left numb by the force of the collision.

"What is going on? This group of little things in front... when facing Tier-3 peers like themselves, they were hesitant, afraid of being hit by my mace. Why are they so brave now..."

Looking at these little things, several of whom were still energetic despite being hit by its mace, Rige was secretly alarmed. The gap in strength between the two sides was too great; it was going to die...

As Rige smashed the spears away, its calf throbbed with pain again, as two arrows struck the same wound simultaneously.

Just as Rige wanted to exert its strength and give these little things a hard blow, a sharp shriek suddenly came from the direction of another Tier-3 Kobold not far away.

This Tier-3 Kobold's veins were bulging all over its body; it had entered a berserk state, but looking at the injuries on its body, the Kobold's condition was not good; it was clearly holding on for its final strike...

Sure enough, after the Kobold let out the shriek, its frenzied counterattack didn't cause much damage to the little things surrounding it... and it was soon turned into a hedgehog by the Elves and perished.

Seeing the miserable state of this Tier-3 Kobold, Rige couldn't help but feel a sense of shared sorrow; it would be its turn soon...

A sharp pain came from its backside again; another arrow pierced into Rige's butt, and then a spear with a sharp tip slashed across its eye.

"Ahhh, you ants!" Rige covered its eye with one hand, while its mace swung frantically all around itself...

Another spear attack followed, this time piercing directly through Rige's chest.

Taking advantage of the Tier-3 Gnoll being pinned by the spear, the other squad members thrust their weapons into Rige's joints. In just a few seconds, the body of the Tier-3 Gnoll, which had been quite lively, was dismantled by the Elves.

Looking up, all three Tier-3 enemies had been finished off. The Elf Squad leader decisively ordered, "Free attack! Quickly kill the enemies. Don't let our Tier-1 brethren bear the pressure for us!"

The squad members twitched their lips as they looked at the surrounding scene; the nearby Tier-1 brethren didn't even have any injuries and were clearly having a great time killing... Where was the pressure...

However, stealing kills... they wanted to do that too; one Tier-3 Gnoll wasn't enough for them to kill.

Upon hearing the captain's order for free attack, the squad members immediately scattered, their weapons lightly swinging toward the necks of the Kobolds not far away...

The Tier-3 enemies had all been finished off. As for the Murlocs, they were still on their way from the back...

Except for the shield bearers who were still holding their positions, all the other Elves had launched their attacks. For this final wave of attacks, Lin Ye did not restrict their movements any further...

Even though this battlefield was not the forest terrain most suitable for the Elves, the speed at which they were reaping the enemies was not slow at all.
