26: Chapter 26 Styx Dies and His Dao Disappears; The Asura Clan Returns to the Underworld

Zhurong's words resonated with the Ancestral Witches, who clamored to have Minghe die and his Dao dissipate.

Just then, a voice rang out, interrupting the Ancestral Witches: "Fellow Daoists, could you give Minghe's Spirit Treasures to me?"

Everyone looked toward the source of the voice and saw Shi Yan stepping out slowly with a calm smile.

Dijiang was slightly stunned, then laughed loudly: "I thought it was something important; it's just some broken Spirit Treasures from that scoundrel Minghe. If you want them, Fellow Daoist, take them! Even his Twelve-Grade Fire Red Lotus, Twelve-Grade Blood Lotus, Yuan Tu Sword, and Abi Sword—what does it matter if I give them all to you!"

Leiliang waved his large hand and said indifferently: "We, the Wu Clan, have no use for those flashy Spirit Treasures. It's more satisfying to use our fists when hacking people. Take them all if you want; it saves us the annoyance of looking at them!"

Upon hearing this, Shi Yan bowed with cupped hands, a faint glimmer in his eyes: "Many thanks to you all for your generosity."

Above the original Sea of Blood, Shi Yan raised a finger.

Within the Seal, Minghe's Yuan Tu Sword, Abi Sword, Twelve-Grade Fire Red Lotus, and the zhanxian gourd—three High Grade Innate Spirit Treasures—along with a pile of other Innate Spirit Treasures of various grades, were pulled by a mysterious force; they broke through their restraints and slowly flew before him.

Looking at these Spirit Treasures, Shi Yan sighed: "Minghe is truly wealthy."

With these Spirit Treasures, the Human Race's foundation has increased; at the very least, every Cultivator above the Grand Unity Golden Immortal rank can now have an Innate Spirit Treasure.

After looting all of Minghe's possessions, Zhurong, Ancestral Witch Gong Gong, and Leiliang joined forces—one with fire, one with thunder, and one with water.

They obliterated Minghe's Dao body and Primordial Spirit completely, leaving not a trace behind.

If not for the fact that after reaching the Grand Unity Golden Immortal rank, the timeline contracts and the True Spirit possesses immortal attributes, even his True Spirit would not have remained.

Minghe died and his Dao dissipated; the Heaven and Earth sensed it and rained blood.

Amidst the blood rain, the Asura Clan watched their Old Ancestor and Father God die and have his Dao dissipate; the once ferocious and terrifying Asura Clan shivered in the blood rain, left only with confusion and fear.

Watching the Asura Clan, Dijiang wanted to cut the weeds and eliminate the roots.

Just as the Law of Space of Pangu condensed in Dijiang's palm, and he was about to wipe out the entire Asura Clan with one strike, a deep and majestic Dao sound interrupted Dijiang's casting.

"Fellow Daoist, please show mercy. This clan still has great use; there is no need to exterminate them."

At the same time, Hongyun's voice came from the Netherworld. A moment later, Hongyun appeared above the Asura Clan and waved his hand, blocking Dijiang's pressure.

Dijiang frowned, retracted the Law of Space, and looked at Hongyun, speaking in a deep voice: "Fellow Daoist Hongyun, the Asura Clan are beings created by Minghe using the filthy Qi of the Sea of Blood. Their nature is even more bloody and cruel than our Wu Clan. You have no use for keeping them, right?"

Zhurong also nodded in agreement: "That's right! These wretched seeds are birds of a feather with Minghe. It's cleaner to kill them, lest they cause chaos in Heaven and Earth in the future!"

Hongyun smiled slightly, looked at the Ancestral Witches, and bowed to explain: "Minghe is dead, and the Asura Clan has lost its pillar; they cannot stir up much trouble. Now that the Reincarnation is newly established, it is a time when people are needed. Bringing these Asura Clan members into the Netherworld to contribute to the Reincarnation is far more valuable than killing them directly."

Hongyun's words reminded the Ancestral Witches.

Upon hearing this, Dijiang exchanged glances with the other Ancestral Witches, such as Ancestral Witch Gong Gong, Zhurong, and Leiliang. Although they still disliked the Asura Clan, what Hongyun said was correct.

A living Asura Clan is more valuable than a dead one.

Zhurong looked at the Asura Clan before him, calmed the flames on his Dao body, and said in a muffled voice: "Fine, take them if you want."

"Hmm." Hongyun gave a soft acknowledgment.

He turned to look at the shivering and bewildered Asura masses, pointed his fingertip, and a mark of the Earth Dao flew out and landed on the Primordial Spirit of the Asura Clan.

Once the mark entered their bodies, the Asura Clan was woven into the Earth Dao; their Dao bodies were uncontrollably sucked into the Netherworld and assigned to their respective posts.

Seeing that the Asura Clan had all been employed, the Evil Qi around the Twelve Ancestral Witches converged. Dijiang stepped forward and looked at the three: Shi Yan, Hongyun, and Zhenyuanzi.

"The Hundred Yuan Epoch is approaching; we, the Twelve Ancestral Witches, will not stay here any longer."

Subsequently, Dijiang punched out a space tunnel and took the Ancestral Witches back to Mount Buzhou.

After seeing the Ancestral Witches leave, Shi Yan bowed to Hongyun and Zhenyuanzi.

"Big Brother, Second Brother, I am leaving too."

Shortly after, a space tunnel appeared behind him, and Shi Yan disappeared from the spot.

At this moment, outside the Netherworld, only Hongyun and Zhenyuanzi remained.

The two looked at each other, smiled, and walked straight into the Netherworld.

The Reincarnation was newly built; even with the help of the Asura Clan, the Ten Yama Kings were not complete, so Hongyun, as the Great Emperor of Fengdu, had to handle everything personally.

...

The Ancestral Witches returned to Mount Buzhou to drill their clansmen and prepare for war.

Shi Yan, having returned to the Coast of the East Sea, took out Minghe's three High Grade Innate Spirit Treasures and countless other Innate Spirit Treasures, beginning to distribute them to his clansmen one by one.

Every Human Race member at the Grand Unity Golden Immortal rank received one Innate Spirit Treasure.

The Yuan Tu and Abi swords fell into the hands of the Fire Ancestor, Ancestor Sui Ren; Shi Yan gave the zhanxian gourd to Ancestor Youchao; because Shi Yan wanted to keep the Twelve-Grade Fire Red Lotus for himself, Ancestor Ziyi received three High Grade Innate Spirit Treasures.

After distributing the Spirit Treasures, Shi Yan's prestige within the Human Race reached its Peak, surpassing the Three Ancestors of the Human Race.

Although it was not announced in name, the clansmen had already regarded Shi Yan as the Clan Chief of the Human Race, and more and more of the Human Race's Luck gathered upon him.

Feeling the Luck upon him, Shi Yan issued his first order.

Seal off the Coast of the East Sea; all members of the Human Race are strictly forbidden from leaving.

Although the members of the Human Race were puzzled by this, they still complied.

...

Shi Yan returned to his stone house and began closed-door cultivation again, just to break through to the Hunyuan Daluo Golden Immortal rank as soon as possible.

Now that the Human Race had survived its greatest calamity, the future would be "smooth sailing," and it would nominally become the eternal Common Sovereign of Heaven and Earth.

However, after the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, although the Human Race's Luck did reach its Peak, the Human Race's power had fallen to the bottom.

The Three Ancestors, the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, and even Cultivators above the Grand Unity Golden Immortal rank (possibly)—the Human Race's highest combat power—were all sent into the Fire Cloud Cave to suppress the Human Race's Luck. The Human Race became fish on the chopping block, left to be devoured by the Saints.

They had no ability to protect themselves at all.

Having been human for two lives, and being an Innate Human in this life, Shi Yan watched the Human Race grow bit by bit. Now that he had the ability, he would not allow the Human Race to exist in name only. Therefore, he had been laying out plans—planning for the Wu Clan, planning for the Reincarnation.

All just to change the trend of the Heavenly Dao and allow the Human Race to be independent.

Now that the Reincarnation belonged to his sworn brother, and the Pangu-orthodox Wu Clan was on good terms with the Human Race, only two steps remained for the Human Race to break free from the control of the Saints.

The first step: the Evil Qi on the Twelve Ancestral Witches needed to dissipate.

The second step: the Human Race needed its own Hunyuan combat power.
