276: Chapter 276 Red Cloud Sea

"I am not disappointed. This place is truly beautiful; it is the most beautiful place I have ever seen."

Princess Longji turned her head and smiled radiantly at him.

That momentary brilliance made even the surrounding red clouds, which radiated with the colors of Chaos, seem to dim in Yang Tianyou's eyes.

Before Yang Tianyou could react, she leaped lightly into the vast sea of red clouds.

She darted back and forth within the red clouds, her magnificent sleeves fluttering with the flow of the Qi.

She curiously reached out her jade hand, cupping a soft red cloud, kneading it like dough; one moment she shaped it into the form of a jade rabbit, and the next, she molded it into a blooming lotus, playing with great delight and emitting ripples of laughter as gentle as spring.

As for Yang Tianyou, he remained obediently on the ground below.

He did not follow her, but his eyes seemed glued to that graceful figure, moving as Princess Longji moved.

Watching her play and frolic in the mist, Yang Tianyou was completely mesmerized, his lips unconsciously curling into a silly arc.

Princess Longji, who was having a great time playing in the clouds, suddenly sensed something.

She poked her little head out from a thick mass of red clouds and followed that gaze, catching Yang Tianyou in his dazed, silly state.

Princess Longji's beautiful eyes turned slightly, her hands on her hips, as she looked down from above and shouted at the silly boy on the ground:

"Hey! Fellow Daoist! Are you staying down there to act as a stone statue? Come up quickly and play with me!"

"Ah? This... this wouldn't be appropriate..."

Yang Tianyou did not expect her to call him suddenly, and his cheeks immediately flushed hot.

Facing such a familiar invitation from Princess Longji, he felt a bit embarrassed.

Seeing his awkward and wooden demeanor, Princess Longji was immediately furious, pouting and huffing indignantly:

"Forget it if you're not coming!"

"I was just feeling a bit bad seeing you staying down there all silly and alone, so I kindly called you."

"Since you don't want to come, just stay down there forever!"

After saying this, she turned around haughtily and rushed back into the deeper red mist, leaving behind only an angry, puffed-up silhouette.

On the ground below, Yang Tianyou was instantly flustered.

"I, I didn't mean it like that..."

He looked at the empty cloud layer, his heart beginning to struggle with indecision.

If he went up, a man and a woman playing in such intimate mist seemed to lack propriety.

But if he didn't go up, Princess Longji seemed to be really furious; wouldn't he truly become a sinner for "neglecting a distinguished guest"?

But when his gaze swept over the sky again, seeing the graceful figure playing alone, the balance in his heart tipped.

Forget it!

The teacher's mission is more important!

"I cannot neglect the distinguished guest!"

Yang Tianyou gritted his teeth, stepped forward, and leaped into the sky full of red clouds.

Deep in the sea of clouds.

Princess Longji was facing away from the direction Yang Tianyou flew up from; she was concentrating a wisp of red cloud radiating the colors of Chaos at her fingertips, attempting to weave it into an exquisite headpiece.

Feeling that familiar aura approaching from behind, the corners of Princess Longji's mouth curled up slightly:

"So you came up after all."

However, just as that aura stopped not far behind her, the smile on her face instantly vanished, replaced by a cold, "changed" expression.

She turned her head abruptly and glared at Yang Tianyou indignantly:

"Oh, Fellow Daoist? What, weren't you too embarrassed to come up just a moment ago? Why? Are you not embarrassed now?"

Listening to Princess Longji's teasing, Yang Tianyou felt so embarrassed he wished he could disappear.

He hurriedly avoided Princess Longji's star-filled eyes, his hands starting to fidget as he reached to scratch the back of his head.

His face was visibly flushed, and he explained somewhat stiffly:

"That, that... it was the teacher. Before the teacher left, he specifically instructed me not to neglect the Princess..."

"Pfft."

Hearing his explanation, Princess Longji laughed in spite of her anger.

He actually pushed all the responsibility onto Your Majesty Emperor Yao!

She shook her head helplessly and turned away, no longer looking at his flushed face.

"Fine, Fellow Daoist Yang Tianyou."

Princess Longji continued to focus, fiddling with the nearly formed red cloud headpiece in her hand, and responded indifferently:

"Since you have come up reluctantly under the 'teacher's order' of Emperor Yao, then keep me company and play."

Princess Longji turned back around and continued weaving that wisp of red cloud radiating Chaos Qi, crafting the unfinished headpiece.

Seeing this scene, Yang Tianyou's eyes narrowed!

The next instant, he darted forward.

Before Princess Longji could react, a pair of warm, slightly rough hands reached out without warning and grabbed her jade hand!

"Hey? You...?"

Princess Longji trembled, stunned.

"Princess Longji, stop immediately!"

Yang Tianyou's voice was no longer hesitant; instead, it was exceptionally serious and even carried a hint of urgency.

His clear eyes stared fixedly at the headpiece nearly finished in Princess Longji's hand, and he said in a grave tone:

"These red cloud masses are the remnants of the Origin left behind when the Old Ancestor Red Cloud was born."

"It is a rare Innate Heaven And Earth Treasure in the entire Primordial World! Princess, please return the cloud mass in your hand to its original place!"

Princess Longji was held by him, initially feeling shy and annoyed, but upon hearing this rigid admonition, her gaze instantly darkened.

"Let go."

Princess Longji also sank her face, her cold voice devoid of any warmth.

She slightly raised her delicate chin, her eyes filled with scrutiny.

At the same time, the aura of a Taiyi Golden Immortal at Perfection transformed into an invisible weight, like an entire sacred mountain, crashing down toward Yang Tianyou!

Boom!

In the face of this terrifying cultivation pressure, Yang Tianyou, whose Realm was still shallow, turned pale instantly, his breathing suddenly stalling.

His knees began to buckle downward uncontrollably.

However, even though he was about to be pressed down into the sea of clouds, he still gripped Princess Longji's wrist tightly without letting go.

His gaze met her pressure stubbornly and firmly, not retreating in the slightest.

The red clouds belonged to the Fire Cloud Cave as a precious treasure; even the eldest princess of the Heavenly Court could not touch them!

The two were deadlocked in the sky full of red clouds.

Just at the final moment when Yang Tianyou gritted his teeth, drenched in cold sweat, and was about to be unable to hold on and fall from complete exhaustion...

"Pfft..."

The terrifying, suffocating pressure that had originally shrouded the surroundings instantly receded like a receding tide.

Immediately after, a charming and hearty laugh rang in Yang Tianyou's ears.

Princess Longji looked at his silly, dazed appearance as he was about to hold his breath until he suffered internal injuries yet still refused to let go; the coldness in her eyes had long since vanished, replaced by a triumphant smile after completing a prank.

She leaned down slightly, her pretty face moving closer to him, and blinked mischievously:

"Fellow Daoist Yang Tianyou, you really are foolish!"

"Hmm?"

Yang Tianyou, with the pressure suddenly reduced, gasped for air and looked at Princess Longji in confusion.
