142: Chapter 142 Luo Hou: The Taste of the Heavenly Dao is Wonderful

In the Primordial World, above the firmament, a vast great Realm manifested. Boundless pure Qi gathered; this was the Heaven Realm nurtured by the Primordial World.

However, that vast Heaven Realm currently appeared exceptionally illusory.

An immeasurable river of starlight smashed down as if to disintegrate all things. Yet, upon contact, it actively fused into that Heaven Realm.

The originally illusory Heaven Realm rapidly became real at this moment. Myriad laws and Daos began to derive, and a supreme great Realm coalesced.

Inside Zixiao Palace, Hongjun also took a step forward, walking toward the Primordial World. He could not allow this Heaven Realm to be obtained by the Heavenly Court again.

At least, it could not be entirely obtained by the Heavenly Court; a portion had to be controlled by other entities.

The Heavenly Dao is ruthless and does not interfere in the affairs of the Primordial World, acting as a preventative measure at most.

But he knew exactly what kind of existence Rahu was.

If the Heaven Realm fell into his hands, it might be fine at other times, but if a whim struck him one day and the situation changed, it wouldn't be impossible for him to directly ascend to the position of Heavenly Emperor.

Regarding the contract with the Heavenly Dao, the Demonic Path had never been an existence restricted by rules. As long as there were sufficient benefits, rules were meant to be broken.

For example, the Heavenly Laws Rahu established in the Heavenly Court practically blocked the path for many latecomers.

For instance, secretly nurturing existences with heavy Karma and then killing them once they grew to a certain point would result in sanctions from the Heavenly Court.

When a Heavenly Court Divine Lord spreads a Cultivation Technique to ordinary Innate races, they are not allowed to leave behind hidden traps to turn those ordinary creatures into Cauldrons and resources for progress.

Yet, these were all things Rahu had done in the past. Back then, the Demonic Path recruited so many existences that not only were resources limited, but the creatures within the Demonic Path were also of varying quality.

How did he do it? From those varying creatures, he would select the inferior ones with heavy Karma. Rahu would use the Great Dao of Heavenly Demon to infect them, making those existences Cultivate the Heavenly Demon Dao Scripture.

The final result was only one of two: either become a tool of the Demonic Path or become a disposable item for the Heavenly Demon Lord to farm Karma.

But now the Heavenly Court restricted such behavior, and there was only one purpose for it.

Rahu wanted to clear his name. If he truly succeeded, then the future Demonic Path would be the mainstream within the Primordial World.

After all, the true Demonic Path was the Heavenly Court's Demonic Path. What kind of Demonic Path was being spread between the Outer-Realm Heavenly Demon World and this world? It was entirely a tool for fixed Karma farming.

After all, the Demonic Path had far too many ways to take shortcuts. If the Immortal Path was a step-by-step progression, the Demonic Path was constantly carving out small side paths.

Within the Primordial World, above the Heaven Realm, countless creatures watched the perfecting Heaven Realm with a hint of greed in their eyes.

In the Void Realm, fluctuations of the Great Dao of Space faintly emanated.

At this moment, Rahu chuckled softly. "Heh, Saint Hongjun, you are too late. This humble Daoist has succeeded."

As he spoke, the Heaven Realm reached total Perfection, and a trace of majestic and solemn aura manifested.

At the core of that Heaven Realm, an imprint had appeared at some unknown time.

Rahu watched this scene, a smile playing on his lips as he looked toward a certain existence in the Void Realm, their gazes meeting.

In that instant, time and space became stagnant. Hongjun's figure stepped out, and a cold voice rang out.

"Rahu, what a Rahu. Your True Self's Will actually dares to descend upon the Primordial World. Do you no longer want it? Or do you want a portion of your Great Dao insights to be stripped away by me, allowing the Primordial World to control a portion of the Demonic Path?"

Rahu felt the stagnant time and space and chuckled. It had to be said that the Saints of the Primordial World were simply too overpowered compared to those below the Saint Realm.

He could vaguely feel that even if those Heavenly Demon Lords from the Demonic Path came here, they wouldn't sense the slightest abnormality.

It could be said that as long as a Saint was willing to act, existences below the Saint Realm would be easily wiped out without even realizing it.

Outside the Primordial World, existences walking the Hunyuan path within Chaos were completely unable to wipe out existences at the level of a Heavenly Demon Lord without them noticing.

They would always have a inkling, a slight premonition. They would know how they fell; though they still couldn't struggle, they would understand the reality.

What a pity! His True Self's Will had descended upon this Incarnation with its own purpose. That exchange with the Heavenly Dao had been highly beneficial!

He couldn't speak for other things, but making this wisp of True Self's Will escape was something he could manage.

He chuckled and said to Hongjun:

"Heh, does Fellow Daoist have that capability now? I have improved; you cannot suppress this wisp of my True Self's Will."

"I must say, the sensation of the Heavenly Dao is wonderful! What do you think, Fellow Daoist?"

As he spoke, a faint smile appeared.

At this moment, the aura on Hongjun changed drastically. The power of a Saint shook all time and space—past, future, and present. A cold voice rang out:

"You seek death."

As he spoke, vast power erupted. Rahu, however, remained unhurried. A wisp of Karma burned behind him, turning into a raging flame. A barrier appeared before him, forcibly blocking the Saint's power.

"Sigh, why is Fellow Daoist so impatient? I am merely speaking the truth. The taste of the Heavenly Dao is truly not bad; I am beginning to understand Fellow Daoist's thoughts."

"Myriad laws and Daos appear nakedly within one's perception, allowing one to comprehend them at will and even use them to forge one's own path. It is simply too wonderful."

Rahu was all smiles as he then spoke:

"What a pity! With Fellow Daoist's power and current Karma with the world, those Realms and insights below Hunyuan ultimately cannot be digested quickly."

"Why don't we make a deal?"

Hongjun's expression remained icy. Even though he had become a Saint and was being assimilated by the world every moment, making his emotions somewhat indifferent, he still could not suppress his fury.

An incredibly angry voice rang out, "Heh, ridiculous. A deal? You have already acted against the Heavenly Dao, yet you still talk of a deal?"

"Die!"

With that, he prepared to condense the power of a Saint.

Did anyone truly think there was no difference between being the first or the second to fuse with and comprehend the Heavenly Dao? That was certainly not the case.

This was precisely why Hongjun was so angry. If he were the first to comprehend all the mysteries of the world, thoroughly perfect his own Great Dao, subdue the world, and step into the Hunyuan Realm...

...then later existences going to comprehend it would naturally have no impact on him.

If this 'first' became Rahu, it would be different. It meant the Heavenly Dao was no longer so pure and flawless. While you comprehended it, it was also acquiring everything about you.

If Rahu achieved this step, then when Hongjun merged with the Heavenly Dao later, he would likely be influenced by Rahu's Great Dao and would ultimately be unable to be Rahu's match.

Rahu currently wore a look of indifference, clearly prepared. He finally let out a helpless sigh and spoke leisurely:

"Sigh, why must it be like this?"
