201: Zhang plays chess, placing his pieces.

In the Great World of Light, at the intersection of the two worlds, it appeared exceptionally peaceful. Rahu looked at the Lord of Light opposite him and spoke leisurely:

"At our Realm, it is almost impossible to decide life and death. You cannot defeat me, and I have no way to suppress you here. How about this: why don't we play a game of chess?"

"If I win, then I ask Senior to go to his death."

"Hehe, and what if you lose?"

The Lord of Light asked leisurely, his powerful Aura fully revealed.

Existences at the Hunyuan level are themselves the Incarnations of the Great Dao. To call it a bet is less accurate than saying they were staking everything to decide the outcome.

Each piece placed upon the chessboard represented a collision of their respective Great Daos.

"If you win, it's simple. Do you see this passage? I will step aside and ensure the members of the Heavenly Court do not participate in this matter."

"Agreed."

The Lord of Light agreed very decisively. After all, what was the big deal about falling once? Furthermore, which existence of their level hadn't left behind some contingency or a chance to return instantly?

If he were to fall once, he had many opportunities to return in an instant.

Did anyone really think it was an accident that so many in the Great World of Light practiced the Dao of Light? It was not. On one hand, it aided his cultivation; on the other, it was for that very reason.

Every existence practicing the Great Dao of Light, as long as they were below the Hunyuan Realm, could serve as one of the tools for his return.

This was even more true for those who held authority over the Great World of Light.

Rahu also revealed a faint smile; regardless of whether he won or lost, he would never be at a disadvantage.

Furthermore, was the Great World of Light still truly the Lord of Light's world? Not necessarily. He was waiting for the appearance of that Lord of Darkness.

Falling from light into darkness to achieve the Hunyuan Realm of the Dark Dao—no matter what, the Lord of Light would definitely be heavily affected, and his power might even be greatly diminished.

At the very least, the enhancement he received from the Great World of Light would not be as terrifying as it was now.

Rahu's gaze turned toward the Great World of Light before him, his eyes filled with immense wariness.

He was not a Saint, but a pure Hunyuan Expert. Logically, the suppression he faced should not be as great as that of a Saint.

Moreover, as the founder of the Demonic Path, no one used the technique Heavenly Demon Myriad Transformations better than he did.

Yet now, he felt that if he entered that world of light, he would encounter a massive crisis.

It was as if his Heavenly Demon Myriad Transformations would lose its effect at that moment, which should have been impossible.

Because that move symbolized his Dao, and how could a Great Dao lose its effect? The only explanation was that the Great World of Light was equivalent to a part of the Lord of Light's Great Dao, and this being was using his Dao to suppress Rahu's power.

Hunyuan Experts are destined to have different Daos. While Heavenly Demon Myriad Transformations could be used for disguise, that was only against those Chaos Demon Gods who had already fallen.

When facing a complete Hunyuan Expert, it was certainly not enough to contend with them.

Rahu was well aware of this, so he naturally had no intention of stepping directly into the Great World of Light.

After all, if any mistake occurred, it would be he who fell.

Just as the Lord of Light wanted to stall for time to let the creatures of the Great World of Light familiarize themselves with the Laws and Daos of the Primordial World, Rahu also wanted to stall for time to let that Lord of Darkness achieve the Hunyuan Realm.

When strengths are roughly equal, sometimes causing internal chaos is the most important strategy.

At this moment, Rahu spoke leisurely:

"In that case, I shall take the first move. This piece represents the invasion of the various worlds."

As he spoke, a piece fell onto the chessboard in the void. Within the Primordial World, the Aura of the Heavenly Court surged as many experts gathered and radiant starlight cascaded down upon the earth.

A vast strike pierced through the Great World of Light. Experts stepped out, and countless Demonic Path Daluos appeared, with no lack of those at the Quasi-Saint Perfection.

Some had long possessed sufficient foundation but simply had no way to resolve their Karma with heaven and earth.

The Lord of Light watched this scene, equally unhurried. As a Late-stage Hun Yuan expert, he was considered one of the top powerhouses within the Alliance invading the Primordial World.

Naturally, he had long been prepared for all of this.

"Not bad, Rahu. You have turned the many living beings of the Heavenly Court into a chess piece, allowing them to erupt with Hunyuan-level power through a Formation."

"If it were that Sword Master, perhaps there would really be no way. But for me, it is merely so-so."

"The Primordial World has its Saints, and my Temple of Light and Great World of Light have their Hall Masters."

As he spoke, several terrifying Auras emanated from within the Great World of Light.

As their true forms manifested, a mysterious power from the Great World of Light was bestowed upon them. This power surpassed that of a Quasi-Saint and reached a level comparable to Hunyuan.

A hint of solemnity appeared in Rahu's eyes. This being's strength might be even more fearsome than he had imagined; he had likely touched upon the so-called Perfected Hun Yuan.

That true peak of the Hunyuan Realm, which traverses the Boundless Sea of Chaos, is immortal and indestructible, only capable of being beaten into dormancy.

What a pity! Having been suppressed for too long, the negative power accumulated within the Great World of Light was far too terrifying. Once it erupted, even this being likely wouldn't be able to stop it.

Thinking of this, his heart became exceptionally calm. He said with a smile:

"Then let's begin. Let's see if my Heavenly Court is stronger or if your Temple of Light is more powerful. I'll add a bit more spice: Heavenly Demon Myriad Transformations evolving all things."

As he spoke, several Demonic Path Daluos within the Great World of Light suddenly began to emit traces of the power of light.

"Rahu, you..."

The Lord of Light was about to say something when he saw Rahu's faint smile. He clenched his fists and snorted coldly:

"Do you really want to fight to the death? If so, don't blame me for being impolite."

His eyes revealed traces of chill, and a hint of killing intent leaked out.

Rahu only gave a faint laugh. With a flick of his finger, another piece appeared on the chessboard.

"Hehe, it is merely a game of chess. Why be so angry? Come at me, I shall accept it all."

His Late-stage Hun Yuan power also manifested, as if he didn't care about the being before him at all.

At this moment, in the Great World of Light, an existence emitting boundless light power watched this scene and revealed a faint smile.

Then, his gaze turned toward a certain spot in the void; it was time for him to change to a new Dao body.

In the center of that boundless dark power within the void, an imprint seemed to be condensing, devouring the vast dark power and refining its own Dark Great Dao to finally step into an incredible Realm.

That was the Hunyuan Realm, a Realm beyond the Great World of Light, capable of opening its own great world and evolving all things.

The Lord of Darkness was about to be born at this very moment.

At this moment, upon that chessboard, Rahu and the Lord of Light each had their wins and losses.
