136: The Shadowscale Clan has invaded! 2

The massive mecha lost its balance and crashed to the ground like a collapsing mountain, causing even greater tremors and chaos.

“Enemy attack! It's the Shadow Scale Clan!!”

Lucas abruptly stood up, veins throbbing on his forehead.

“What is the radar for?! Find the enemy! Counterattack! Counterattack immediately!!”

At the same time,

Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz—!

A low-frequency vibration sound, grating on the teeth, rang out.

Right in the middle of the Allied forces' position, the air twisted like water ripples.

The next second, hundreds of Ghost Manta Rays, massive in size with wingspans covering the sky, appeared out of thin air!

Their smooth skin reflected an ominous, faint light. Standing on the back of each Ghost Manta Ray were over ten Deep One Warriors, clad in dark scale armor and wielding strange bone blades, their eyes cold and bloodthirsty.

“The Shadow Scale Clan! How did they get in?!”

“Open fire! Fire quickly!”

Just as the panicked shouts began,

the Deep One Warriors on the Ghost Manta Rays' backs simultaneously activated a strange device beside them.

*Puff—!*

A dense, thick, milky-white mist erupted from the devices like a breaching flood, swallowing large sections of the defensive line in an instant.

Vision was completely stripped away, leaving only a white expanse.

“I can't see!”

“Where is the enemy?!”

“Ah! I'm under attack!”

“Open fire! Open fire!”

“Stop! You hit me! That's friendly fire!”

Panic spread like a plague.

The titan mechas were like headless flies in the mist, their massive metal arms swinging wildly, often hitting their comrades nearby.

Explosions, metal clashes, and screams rose and fell, and the defensive line meticulously arranged by the European Allied Army instantly fell into chaos.

“Don't panic! Wind Talent Users! Step forward! Blow away this damned mist!”

Lucas roared, his voice spreading across the battlefield via the communicator.

The Wind Talent Users leaped onto the shoulders of the mechas or high vantage points, pushing their hands forward and channeling all their Primal Energy.

*Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—!*

Powerful whirlwinds rose from the ground, tearing at the dense mist.

The milky-white barrier began to roll and thin out, and visibility gradually returned.

However,

when the mist completely cleared, the sight that greeted them instantly froze the blood of every European Allied Army soldier.

Beyond the coastline, the previously empty sea surface had vanished, replaced by a moving, roaring mountain range of flesh and blood!

Over a thousand Massive Sea Beasts of various forms, like nightmares from ancient times, formed a terrifying charging front line.

There were Dread Auks, covered in bone armor, like mobile fortresses;

There were Giant Octopuses whose tentacles covered the sky and churned the waves;

There were Fanged Frenzy Sharks, their tusks exposed and emitting a bloody stench... In the seawater between the Beast Legion, fifty thousand Deep One Warriors densely surfaced!

They were clad in hard scales, wielding sharp Bone Spears and Coral War Blades, their crimson eyes locked onto the prey on the shore, like locusts waiting to swarm.

And what was even more despairing was the sky.

Two Shadow Scale Clan Legion Commanders stood suspended in mid-air, the energy fluctuations emanating from them distorting the surrounding atmosphere.

The terrifying pressure of the Awakening Level was like a tangible mountain,

heavily pressing down on the heart of every Allied soldier, making it impossible to breathe.

At the very rear of the battle formation, a Demon Whale, whose size rivaled a mountain, slowly surfaced.

Its back alone resembled an island.

Standing on the Demon Whale's back, the Expeditionary Force's main Scale Lord, Golosh, stood before the Observation Deck, looking down upon the entire battlefield.

Seeing the Allied forces fall into complete disarray due to a mere vanguard harassment,

a look of unconcealed disdain curved his lips.

“Heh heh, if it weren't for the plane barrier blocking the way, crushing you human ants wouldn't even take ten days.”

He muttered softly to himself, then raised his right hand and brought it down.

“First Legion, attack!”

*Woo, woo, woo—!*

A desolate yet mighty horn blast tore through the sky, echoing across the battlefield.

Roar—!!!

The thousand Massive Sea Beasts let out earth-shattering roars, moving with mountain-collapsing steps, crushing the shoreline, and crashing into the human lines!

At the same time,

The fifty thousand Deep Ones beneath the surface shot out of the water like arrows, rushing toward the soldiers on the shore, their bone blades slicing through the air with sharp whistles.

The battle instantly entered a white-hot phase!

A titan mecha raised its heavy metal fist and smashed it toward a Dread Auk. The Dread Auk neither dodged nor retreated, slamming its bone-armored head forward!

*Boom-Crack!*

The titan mecha's fist deformed and shattered, its entire arm twisted backward by the impact.

The Dread Auk raised its foreleg, which resembled a massive pillar, and stomped down hard!

*Bang!*

That mecha, dozens of meters high, along with the pilot inside, was instantly crushed into a pile of twisted scrap metal!

On the ground,

an Allied soldier, wearing the latest Composite Power Armor, raised a Gauss Rifle and fired wildly.

The bullets struck the Deep One's scales, sparking slightly but failing to penetrate.

The Deep One advanced with a sinister grin, its bone claws slashing out, severing the Gauss Rifle along with the soldier's arm!

Another Deep One swept past from the side, its Coral War Blade easily piercing the neck joint of the Power Armor, taking a terrified head with it.

Steel was breaking, and flesh was flying.

The Allied forces' numerical advantage appeared pale and ineffective under the absolute disparity in individual strength and chaotic command.

Massive Beasts crushed mechas,

Deep Ones slaughtered soldiers,

the defensive line visibly contracted inward under the assault.

“Hold the line! Everyone hold the line! Drown them in sheer numbers!”

“As long as we hold out! The endless support coming from behind us will wear them down!!”

Lucas's eyes were bloodshot as he roared into the communicator, trying to stabilize the situation.

However,

just as his order was issued, the two Awakening Level Legion Commanders in the sky moved.

They transformed into two streams of dark light tearing through the sky, ignoring the dense anti-air barrage below, shooting straight toward the Allied Command Post!

Along the way, a titan mecha attempted to intercept, its huge alloy palm swatting toward one of the streams of light.

The stream of light neither dodged nor slowed down in the slightest, piercing directly through the mecha's palm, leaving a huge hole,

and then penetrating the mecha's chest, bursting out from the back!

That titan mecha stood frozen in place, then exploded with a roar, turning into a fireball.

The other stream of light moved like a phantom, weaving through the hail of bullets. Wherever it passed, intercepting soldiers and light vehicles silently disintegrated, as if sliced by invisible sharp blades.

“It's over...”

Watching the two unstoppable lights of death instantly break through layer after layer of defense and close in, the color drained from Lucas's face, and he only managed to utter those two words.

*Swish! Swish!*

The two faint lights crossed paths over the Command Post.

The sturdy Alloy Command Vehicle was sliced open like paper, and everyone inside,

including Commander-in-Chief Lucas, was instantly annihilated by terrifying energy.

The command system instantly failed.

The titan mechas still resisting on the front line, unable to receive coordinated orders, immediately fell into greater chaos,

fighting independently, they were segmented, surrounded, and destroyed one by one by the Shadow Scale Clan Legion.

The steel defense line painstakingly established by the European Allied Army, under the absolute power and efficient tactical strikes of the Shadow Scale Clan,

quickly crumbled.

On the coastline, all that remained were the desperate screams of soldiers who couldn't retreat, and the roar of massive beasts trampling the earth and destroying everything.
