133: God sees you as insects, I see you as unpolished jade

The thrill of victory, like a powerful stimulant, temporarily suppressed Sword River Fish’s body from collapsing.

He leaned against the wall, his eyes burning with a flame called “fighting spirit.”

The initial victory merely locked the “divine” Gu Jianghan back into his cage.

But this was far from enough.

A god locked away is still a god.

He could find new loopholes at any time and break free again.

Sword River Fish couldn't just reinforce the cage; he had to fundamentally change the “species” of this “divine beast”!

He wanted to perform a thorough “surgical operation” on the character setting most severely contaminated by “divinity”!

He dragged his weakened body back to the computer, his gaze like a knife, precisely locating Chapter Five — [Welcome Ceremony for New Members].

In this chapter, the protagonist Gu Jianghan, from a god's perspective, watched the tragic scene of Shi Hao being hunted down.

Among them was a sentence, the beginning of the “divine” contamination, and the one Sword River Fish found most intolerable:

“He watched the foot, frozen in the light screen and filled with destructive power, as if admiring a masterpiece of art.”

“A masterpiece of art?”

Sword River Fish let out a cold sneer.

To view the struggle of life in desperation as cold art.

This was precisely the manifestation of “divinity’s” indifferent, inhuman, and condescending essence!

He had to correct this!

He moved the cursor to that sentence and pressed the delete key.

However, just as he was about to type new text, an anomaly suddenly occurred!

That line of text on the screen, as if infused with life, began to flicker violently!

The words “art,” “destruction,” and “masterpiece” emitted a faint, blood-red glow.

Like stubborn cancer cells, they refused to be excised!

A cold, arrogant will, flowed up from the screen, attempting to invade Sword River Fish’s mind!

— How dare a mere mortal judge the aesthetic of a ‘God’?

It was the resistance of the “divine” Gu Jianghan!

Although he was bound by the “power of reader observation” and could no longer make sweeping modifications.

He still had a certain level of protection authority over the “imprints” he had left behind!

“Your aesthetic is a pile of dog shit!”

A cold light flashed in Sword River Fish’s eyes, and he brought down his will, belonging to the “Author,” like a red-hot branding iron!

“Get out of here!”

Buzz—!

The blood-red glow on the screen, like ice and snow encountering their nemesis, instantly melted away!

That cold will let out an unwilling wail and was forcibly expelled!

Sword River Fish’s fingers heavily struck the keyboard, typing out new sentences:

“A smile of appreciation played on Gu Jianghan’s lips.”

“He looked at the foot frozen in the light screen, seeing not the power of destruction.”

“But rather, the anger of Shi Hao beneath that power.”

“That unyielding flame of life, attempting to burn everything, is the most moving sight in the universe.”

Deep Meaning of the Modification: This was not just a change in description; it was a forced reversal of core values!

Sword River Fish forcibly rewrote the “divine” appreciation of “destructive aesthetics” into “Humanity’s” praise for the “will to live.”

He was telling all readers: My protagonist, he may be powerful, he may be indifferent, but within his heart, the light of Humanity always exists!

He will empathize with struggle and defiance, not destruction and death!

This was the most direct eradication of the “divine” foundation!

After completing the modification, he immediately clicked publish.

The comment section once again boiled over, but this time, the readers’ discussions clearly had a deeper nuance.

Reader G: “Holy crap! ‘The most moving sight’! This line is so profound! The protagonist isn’t just a simple thrill-seeker; he has his own philosophy!”

Reader H: “This is the perspective a God should have! Witnessing new life amidst destruction! Author, my God!”

Sword River Fish did not immerse himself in joy; he immediately opened Chapter Nine — [Tragedy in the Era of Dharma Decline].

If the modification of Chapter Five was a reversal of values.

Then this sentence in Chapter Nine was a fatal poisoning of the protagonist's relationship with the group members.

Original text: “Gu Jianghan ‘watched’ the lively scene in the group, as if watching a group of interesting insects.”

“Insects…”

Sword River Fish’s eyes were extremely cold.

This sentence was definitely added by the “divine” Gu Jianghan, secretly, when he wasn't paying attention!

To view companions who had accompanied the protagonist all along as insects that could be crushed at will.

This was equivalent to severing the protagonist’s “bond” with the entire story world, clearing the last obstacle for his “aloof transcendence.”

“Dream on!”

Sword River Fish aimed the cursor at the words “insects.”

This time, the resistance of the “divine” Gu Jianghan was a hundred times more violent than before!

Those two words seemed to come alive!

They wriggled and twisted madly on the screen.

Transforming into countless fine, slimy black tentacles, attempting to drag the entire paragraph into a murky darkness!

A mental Impact ten times stronger than before, violently slammed into Sword River Fish’s brain!

— Ants should know their place!

— Their existence is to please me!

— You will not change this!

“Pfft—!”

Sword River Fish suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood, splattering it on the keyboard.

His brain felt as if a thousand steel needles were piercing it; the pain was excruciating!

But he did not back down; instead, a deeper ferocity was ignited within him!

“I am the Author!!!”

He let out a silent roar, pouring all his mental power, along with the “narrative authority” he had just borrowed, without reservation, into it!

“In my story, even dragons must coil for me!”

Boom—!!!

A supreme will originating from the “Creator” descended with a roar!

The wildly dancing black tentacles on the screen, like venomous snakes spotted by a natural enemy, instantly froze!

Then, under that irresistible “Author’s Will.”

They shattered inch by inch, turning into the most primitive data streams, dissipating into nothingness!

Sword River Fish’s hand trembled as he deleted those two words.

Then, with all his might, he typed out the new definition:

“Gu Jianghan ‘watched’ the lively scene in the group, his gaze gentle.”

“These lives from different worlds are like uncarved jade.”

“Although still very weak now, in time, they will all shine with their own light.”

Deep Meaning of the Modification: This not only elevated the status of the supporting characters but also forcibly added the “mentor” and “guardian” character settings to the protagonist!

Insects can be discarded at will.

But uncarved jade needs careful nurturing and carving!

This was equivalent to building a strong chain called “responsibility” between the protagonist and the group members.

A protagonist burdened with responsibility, a protagonist with bonds, would never abandon everything for that illusory “transcendence”!

Sword River Fish was using the “plot” itself to create an inescapable karmic cage for the divine Gu Jianghan!

Having completed all this, he could no longer hold on, his vision went black, and he fainted, collapsing onto the desk.

Just in the last moment before he lost consciousness.

He seemed to hear the fervent cheers of countless readers in his ears.

And, from the deep roots of the story, one mournful cry after another, filled with endless resentment and unwillingness.
