232: Chapter 232 The Pollution of Words!

Looking at the ancient Ancestor's notebook, Su Lin was completely stunned.

What was happening?

How could the notebook, which had been quiet and completely normal before, suddenly emit such eerie energy fluctuations?

Could it be that because he had just reached the Catastrophe Level and his internal power had undergone a qualitative change, he was now able to detect the energy hidden within this notebook?

Or was it because he had just created the Phantom Nightmare and mastered the Anchor World Seal, triggering some Law related to world anchoring, thereby activating the residual Ancestor power within the notebook?

Su Lin couldn't figure it out.

But now was not the time to dwell on these things.

He took the notebook out of the System Space again.

Sure enough, the notebook was indeed emitting a faint, dark red light.

The pages, which were originally just yellowed, now had a faint fluorescent glow flowing across their surface, as if something were slowly awakening inside.

An ethereal, eerie aura seeped from the pages, cold and evil.

Without the slightest hesitation, Su Lin opened the notebook.

And upon opening it, he discovered something unexpected.

The content that had previously been blurry, seemingly modified or covered by some kind of energy, and completely illegible, was now faintly visible.

Although some of the handwriting was still blurry and twisted, as if forcibly obscured by some power.

But at least it was much better than the completely illegible state from before.

Su Lin immediately understood.

Indeed, this content must have been sealed or obscured by some high-level power.

And as he continued to grow stronger, he could now begin to break through this Seal and glimpse some of its contents.

As expected, he still had to keep getting stronger.

Otherwise, he might not even be able to see the secrets left by the Ancestor, let alone deal with those terrifying entities hiding in the shadows.

However, Su Lin didn't dwell on this too much.

He suppressed the fluctuations in his heart and began to examine the newly revealed content in the notebook.

However, the moment his gaze fell upon those words.

"Hum!"

A massive and twisted energy seemed to pierce directly through the paper via the words themselves, slamming violently into his consciousness!

Su Lin's vision suddenly blurred.

He seemed to see a sea of dark red blood surging and boiling in the Void Realm.

Countless twisted faces floated and wailed in the sea of blood, and countless severed limbs struggled and flailed in the waves.

Su Lin was stunned for a moment.

This content actually contained such terrifying mental contamination!

Just by reading the text, it could trigger this level of mental shock!

He hurriedly mobilized his Grey Mist Power, and the vast, deep Grey Mist Power surged from his spiritual sea like a tide, crashing violently against the mental contamination that had invaded his consciousness.

"Boom!"

The two forces collided crazily at the level of consciousness, erupting in a silent roar.

The phantom of the dark red sea of blood trembled violently under the crushing pressure of the Grey Mist.

Countless twisted faces let out shrill wails, then shattered and dissipated like a broken mirror.

In just a few breaths, all the mental contamination that had invaded his consciousness was successfully suppressed and completely dispersed.

Su Lin returned to calmness and immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

These sealed contents were indeed not just ordinary written records.

They carried some kind of high-level energy.

Once someone attempted to read them, this residual energy would crazily erode the reader's Soul.

If one couldn't withstand it, the best case was a mental breakdown, and the worst case was having one's Soul annihilated on the spot!

If it weren't for the fact that he had just reached the Catastrophe Level and his control over the Grey Mist Power had greatly improved.

He might have truly had his consciousness eroded by this mental contamination and become one of those twisted faces.

Fortunately, although this residual power was terrifying.

It was ultimately no match before his Grey Mist Power.

Su Lin did not delay any longer and began to read the newly revealed content directly.

Turning to the next page, the Ancestor's familiar handwriting once again came into view.

"Today, those guys finally arrived. They even brought quite a few rare treasures, but I killed xxx and turned his xxx into a blood brew, making them drink it themselves."

"When the truth was revealed, they were all shocked, each of them as pale as a dead person, hahaha! What a truly delightful sight!"

"However, they all underwent mutations. Was it because they couldn't withstand the power within? Or were they secretly watched by a Great Existence?"

Looking at this content, Su Lin was speechless.

It seemed that these "friends" mentioned by the Ancestor were a group of partners who had a pretty good relationship with him.

It was just that he seemed to have used some method to silence them all.

And he seemed to find it very interesting, treating it just like a game.

It had to be said, this Ancestor was truly a lunatic through and through.

In terms of viciousness and cruelty, he was even worse than the lunatic in the backyard.

He dared to call the monster in the backyard a lunatic, when he himself was clearly crazier.

However, Su Lin was also a bit concerned.

What exactly was this covered content?

What did the Ancestor kill?

And what did he turn into a blood brew?

Was this information covered by some higher-level power, and was he still unable to see the full picture with his current Realm?

Indeed, he still had to continue advancing and constantly improving his strength.

Su Lin pulled back his thoughts and continued to turn the page.

Below was a new piece of content.

"It's out of control. The village is in shambles, a complete mess. Those guys have completely turned into monsters, but they've been restrained by my barrier."

"They are completely unable to leave this area, and can only wander the village, devouring each other, repeating meaningless slaughter day after day."

Su Lin looked at this content and fell into deep thought.

The village was in shambles, with monsters running rampant everywhere.

And the Ancestor had restrained them with a barrier?

No wonder when he first arrived at Linyuan Village, those vengeful spirits could only move within a specific different dimension and couldn't leave the village at all.

So it was the Ancestor's barrier at work?

Were they still in the village now?

Were they still being restrained by the barrier?

Su Lin continued reading.

Afterwards, there was another new piece of content.

"I didn't expect that those blood brews would turn into a Curse, and that guy actually didn't die. He had clearly been torn to pieces by me, and even his Soul had been crushed into fragments by me, so why could he still resurrect?"

"Moreover, he even wanted to drag me down with him, wanting to pull me into that sea of blood and make me one of them. It's absolutely ridiculous."

"With my strength, how could they possibly be my opponents? They are just a bunch of monsters driven by resentment, and in the end, it was nothing but a farce."

The more Su Lin read, the more his scalp tingled.

What was the situation with "the blood brew turning into a Curse"?

Were those guys affected by the blood brew and turned into some kind of even more terrifying Curse entity?

Who was the "he" mentioned by the Ancestor?

The Ancestor had personally torn him to pieces and even crushed his Soul, yet he could still resurrect.

What level of existence was this exactly?

The Ancestor was at the Dominator Level, or even the Immortal Level.

What Realm was he at when he wrote these things?

Su Lin didn't know.

But what he did know was that the guy was definitely an existence above the Dominator Level, and might even be a truly terrifying Immortal Level existence.

Su Lin took a deep breath, suppressed the shock in his heart, and continued reading.
