193: Chapter 193 The Origins of the Moonlit Covenant Wizarding Academy! The Red Moon's Revival?

Mist Forest.

After walking a distance along the forest path, Aurora suddenly turned her head to look at Rowan and said, "Do you have any understanding of our Moon Chant Covenant Wizard Academy, The Count?"

Rowan replied candidly, "Not really."

Aurora was not too surprised by this.

She smiled slightly, casting her gaze toward the sky visible through the gaps in the forest, as if organizing her thoughts, and then began to speak slowly:

"The Moon Chant Covenant Wizard Academy is one of the orthodox wizard academies that studies the power of the three moons."

"Three moons?" Rowan raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Yes." Aurora nodded and explained,

"The three extraordinary moons—they are not real moons, but hidden moons. They have their own special patterns of movement and will appear when the timing is right."

She paused for a moment and continued,

"First is the Red Moon."

"The Red Moon symbolizes blood, life, and transformation."

"It has a very deep connection with the Vampire race."

"It is said that the birth of the first Vampire in the world is closely related to the power of the Red Moon."

"In our academy, the school that studies the power of the Red Moon focuses on life magic, evocation magic, blood magic, and the curses and purification associated with them."

"They believe that the essence of life is hidden within blood, and through the study of blood, one can touch the most fundamental secrets of life."

When Rowan heard the word 'Vampire', his heart stirred slightly, but his expression remained calm. He simply nodded, signaling her to continue.

"Next is the Silver Moon." Aurora's voice became a little softer: "The Silver Moon symbolizes purity, mystery, and nature. It has the closest relationship with the Elf race."

"The gods of the Elf lineage regard the Silver Moon as their guardian, and many Elf magics have intricate connections with the power of the Silver Moon."

"The school that studies the power of the Silver Moon focuses on nature magic, dreams, and prophecies of fate."

"They are the most mysterious group in the academy, researching year-round in the academy's Silver Moon Tower."

"Finally, there is the Yellow Moon." When she said this, her tone became more solemn: "The Yellow Moon is the most special of the three."

"It represents balance, cycles, and boundaries."

"The power of the Yellow Moon is considered a bridge connecting the material world and the spiritual world, and it is also the most difficult and dangerous power to master among the three."

"The school that studies the power of the Yellow Moon focuses on alchemy, barrier magic, and the exploration of the soul and consciousness."

"They often walk on the edge of taboos and are also the school most prone to producing fallen ones."

"The Mist Evil Wizard is said to have been an excellent student of the Yellow Moon school in his youth, but later walked the path of a dark wizard because he touched forbidden knowledge that should not have been touched."

After she finished speaking, she remained silent for a moment, as if giving Rowan time to digest, then added:

"All three moons have positive powers, but also negative ones."

"The Red Moon can be a symbol of life and transformation, but also a source of chaos and madness."

"The Silver Moon can be the embodiment of purity and wisdom, but also a trap of dreams and lost souls."

"The Yellow Moon can be a bridge of balance and cycles, but also a channel for corruption and degradation."

"The core of our academy's education is to teach students how to correctly understand and harness these three powers, rather than being devoured by them."

After listening, Rowan was silent for a moment, then nodded slowly and commented sincerely:

"A very interesting system. Three moons, three paths of power, each with its own independence, yet interrelated and mutually constraining."

"Whoever could establish an academy using the power of the three moons must be an extraordinary figure."

Upon hearing this, a glimmer of joy flashed in Aurora's eyes, as if she felt honored that her academy had been sincerely praised. She curled the corners of her lips slightly and smiled: "Yes. The founders of the academy were three legendary wizards who each believed in the Red Moon, the Yellow Moon, and the Silver Moon respectively."

"A thousand years ago, they jointly established the Moon-Chanting Covenant, vowing to use the power of the three moons for protection rather than destruction, and established the academy on this foundation."

"To this day, the academy still preserves many relics and legends related to them."

Having said this, she suddenly changed the subject, turned her head to look at Rowan, and revealed a hint of a sly smile:

"So, The Count, do you have some understanding of our academy now?"

Hearing this, Rowan couldn't help but smile as well and nodded: "I have benefited greatly."

...

As they spoke, the two had arrived at the place where Garrett had run to.

It was a dilapidated wooden house.

The wooden planks on the walls had rotted and turned black, covered in greenish moss.

The door of the wooden house was half-ajar, and a faint smell of blood and the bitter scent of potions wafted from the gap in the door.

On the open space in front of the wooden house, two people were lying there.

Both were wearing black wizard robes, sprawled crookedly on the ground.

Their chests were rising and falling rhythmically; it was evident they had just been knocked unconscious.

Garrett stood to the side, scratching his head, wearing a simple and honest smile.

He pushed up the glasses on the bridge of his nose and chuckled:

"I just ran into two First-Ring wizards; they look like students of that Mist Evil Wizard."

"I was afraid they would ruin things, so I just knocked them out."

Aurora swept her gaze over them, ignored them, and asked directly: "Alright, Garrett, now, where is the ley line node you mentioned?"

Hearing this, Garrett didn't talk nonsense, reached out and pointed behind the wooden house:

"It's right behind, follow me."

He took the lead, pushed the door open, and went inside. Rowan and Aurora followed closely behind.

Passing through the wooden house, the group arrived at the backyard.

The fog here was thinner than outside, and the view was much more open.

The ground of the courtyard was paved with irregular stone slabs.

In the center of the courtyard, a dry well stood prominently.

Garrett walked to the side of the dry well, stopped, and then turned back.

His gaze passed over Aurora and landed on Rowan, with a hint of hesitation and doubt in his eyes.

He opened his mouth, seeming to want to say something, but swallowed it back. He just stood there, rubbing his hands together somewhat awkwardly.

Seeing this, Aurora immediately understood Garrett's concerns. She turned around, looked at Rowan, and said softly:

"My Lord, you just killed that Mist Evil Wizard; there should be a horn inside his storage ring."

"It is called the blood ash bone conch, a magical item refined from the bones of a special magical beast, capable of sensing and guiding the special power within the ley lines."

"If you wish to understand some of the situation here, you can take it out, and I will demonstrate it for you."

Hearing this, Rowan narrowed his eyes slightly.

He thought for a moment, took out the storage ring he had just obtained, and swept his mental power quickly through the inner space of the ring.

Various bottles and jars, scrolls and books, and strange materials were piled together, emitting a chaotic aura.

His consciousness searched within for a moment and quickly locked onto a target. With a thought, a dark red horn appeared in his hand.

The horn was about the length of an arm, the entire body presenting a deep reddish-brown color, with the surface covered in spiral patterns, like the shell of some marine creature.

The base of the horn was inlaid with a ring of dark gold metal, engraved with fine runes.

Holding it in his hand, one could feel a warm aura emanating from it, as if some living creature were breathing inside.

Rowan handed the horn to Aurora: "Is this it?"

Aurora took the horn, examined it carefully for a while, then nodded, a glimmer of joy flashing in her eyes: "Yes, this is it, My Lord."

Her fingers gently stroked the patterns on the surface of the horn, feeling that warm pulsation.

Garrett also leaned in, his eyes flickering with the same excited light.

He walked quickly to the side of the dry well, stepped aside, and then took out a disc made of silver-white metal from his bosom.

The surface of the disc was engraved with complex scales and runes, with a needle as thin as a hair floating in the center.

He crouched down, placed the disc on the stone slab by the dry well, adjusted a few knobs, then looked up and nodded at Aurora: "Ready."

Aurora took a deep breath, held the blood ash bone conch with both hands, and aimed the port of the horn at the dry well. Then, she closed her eyes.

An invisible magical power surged from her body into the blood ash bone conch.

The dark red horn began to glow slightly.

At first, it was just a very faint light, like a flickering candle flame in the darkness.

But the light brightened rapidly, changing from dark red to bright red, and then from bright red to a nearly Blazing crimson!

The spiral patterns on the surface of the horn began to wriggle, like snakes coming to life, rotating in circles.

A low humming sound emanated from inside the horn.

The sound was not loud, but it carried a strange penetrating power.

Just then— Boom—!

A thick wave of mist surged out from the mouth of the well!

The mist wave was mixed with countless tiny scarlet spots of light, dancing and spinning in the air!

Immediately after— those fine spots of light flowed and flickered, seeming to form some ancient runes.

Those runes would aggregate and then disperse, forming complex patterns, only to flash and vanish.

The instrument in Garrett's hand began to spin wildly, the needle rotating rapidly, and the numbers on the dial jumping constantly.

He widened his eyes, his mouth agape, the whole person immersed in a state of extreme excitement:

"My God... this, this concentration of ley line energy... is a full two times higher than expected!"

"No, it's almost three times!"

"It's still rising!"

His voice was trembling.

Aurora put down the blood ash bone conch, looking at that crimson blood mist above the wellhead.

Her eyes became complex.

There was shock, worry, and a deep sense of gravity in them...

She whispered: "It seems that the resurgence of the Red Moon is accelerating..."

Her voice was very soft, as if talking to herself, but it was just right for Rowan beside her to hear.

Hearing this, Rowan narrowed his eyes slightly.

He turned his head to look at Aurora, his gaze carrying a hint of inquiry and deep thought: "The resurgence of the Red Moon?"
