127: Trial ground, maze?

The moment Qin Tian's figure vanished, the Trial Land's NPC, who had been cut in half by Qin Tian and lay on the ground, suddenly crawled up.

His severed body quickly reconnected.

He looked around, trying to find Qin Tian's figure.

But Qin Tian had already entered the teleportation gate one step ahead.

"Interesting, did he discover me?"

The voice of the Trial Land's NPC rang out, completely different from when he had conversed with Qin Tian earlier.

It sounded stiff and unnatural, as if he had just learned human language.

He hadn't expected Qin Tian to act so decisively, cutting him in half without a word.

Nor had he expected Qin Tian to be so cautious.

He even used an item that could pause time just to enter the Trial Land's teleportation gate.

However, he had to admit that Qin Tian's actions were very effective.

Even he had no way now that Qin Tian had already entered the teleportation gate.

"Then I'll wait for you in a higher-level area. It's been a long time since someone exciting like you appeared."

A hoarse voice once again emanated from the Trial Land's NPC.

His reconnected body instantly broke into two halves again, falling to the ground.

A jade-green eyeball, flickering with an eerie light, flew out from his severed body, drifted into the distance, and disappeared.

Trial Land.

"Was it successful?"

Qin Tian murmured.

The feeling of being spied upon had vanished as he entered the Trial Land.

Moreover, this transmission was also without incident, leading to the initial location after entering the Trial Land.

However, the surrounding environment surprised Qin Tian a little.

This Trial Land was different from the Beginner Area's Trial Land before.

It wasn't just a small area with only one path, where one only needed to defeat the monsters on the way and the final BOSS to clear the trial.

Qin Tian was currently standing at a crossroads, surrounded by massive black walls.

All directions—front, back, left, and right—were equally pitch black, leading nowhere.

"Is it a maze?"

Qin Tian thought to himself, trying to move forward.

As Qin Tian moved forward, monsters began to appear around him.

Giant apes roared, charging towards Qin Tian.

They violently beat their chests, making thudding sounds.

Level 150 normal monster, Bloodsucking Magic Ape.

There were five of them in total, ambushing Qin Tian from the front and back.

Qin Tian didn't look back, continuing forward. As the Bloodsucking Magic Apes were about to get close, Instant Slash was instantly unleashed.

The blade energy spread, directly cutting all five magic apes in half simultaneously.

Just like the Beginner Area's Trial Land before, these Trial Land monsters yielded no experience or item drops.

After instantly killing the five Bloodsucking Magic Apes, Qin Tian reached the end of the path.

A dead end.

As he had guessed before, this Trial Land was a maze.

To pass the trial, he first had to find his way out of the maze before he could encounter the final BOSS.

Looking at the wall in front of him, Qin Tian's face showed a thoughtful expression.

He did not put away Blood Song; instead, Qin Tian directly swung it towards the black wall in front of him.

A violent impact sound rang out, and huge cracks began to appear on the black wall.

Then it shattered with a crash.

Behind the wall, a ghost-like BOSS was staring at Qin Tian with a bewildered expression.

"How is this possible!"

The Ghost BOSS was none other than the Maze Master. He looked at Qin Tian, who held Blood Song, and his heart pounded.

Since he became the BOSS of the Trial Land, he had never seen anyone capable of forcibly breaking the maze walls with sheer strength.

Qin Tian also hadn't expected it to actually work.

In that case, there was no need to navigate the maze; he could just cut his way through.

But just as Qin Tian was about to continue forward, an anomaly occurred.

The massive wall that Qin Tian had shattered instantly returned to normal.

"Hmm?"

Qin Tian frowned slightly and struck out with another slash.

A violent impact sound rang out, and the wall shattered again.

But just like before, the moment Qin Tian and the Ghost BOSS Maze Master met each other's gaze, the wall returned to normal.

"Give up, it's useless. This wall is shaped by the power of rules; it cannot be destroyed."

"Every time you destroy it, it will restore itself. To pass the trial, you must find the maze exit normally."

"However, you have already wasted too much time. This trial, I estimate you will fail."

The Maze Master's voice rang out, and more monsters appeared around Qin Tian.

This time it was no longer Bloodsucking Magic Apes, but furious brown bears.

There were still five of them, but their level had increased to 155.

The monsters had grown stronger.

At this point, Qin Tian also understood the meaning of the Maze Master's words.

The monsters within this maze would grow stronger over time.

If he didn't find the exit quickly, in the end, let alone seeing the Maze Master, he might be killed by these increasingly powerful small monsters.

However, that was for ordinary players. Although the monsters in this Maze Land had grown stronger, for Qin Tian, they were still fodder that could be instantly killed with one slash.

Instant Slash was unleashed again.

The five furious brown bears had their heads separated from their bodies before they even reached Qin Tian.

Looking at the wall in front of him, Qin Tian finally gave up the idea of breaking through with force.

If he hadn't used the Eternal Time Pointer before entering, perhaps he could have relied on time pause to rush through the moment the wall shattered and instantly kill the Maze Master.

But now, the Eternal Time Pointer was on cooldown.

And the maze wall in front of him recovered extremely quickly.

The first time might have been because the Maze Master was unprepared, but the second time, it almost restored itself the moment it shattered.

It was as if the breaking and repairing were happening simultaneously, making a violent breakthrough impossible.

"Haha, have you figured it out? If you have, then hurry up and look for it. But you just scared me, so I won't let you pass so easily."

The Maze Master's voice rang out.

The ground beneath Qin Tian's feet began to shake violently.

The walls around Qin Tian began to move, and the entire maze's walls moved with them.

Under the Maze Master's manipulation, the maze was no longer static but began to constantly shift.

This made finding the maze exit even more difficult.

Previously correct paths would also become incorrect as the walls changed.

Qin Tian watched the constantly moving maze walls around him, knowing what the Maze Master was thinking, so he simply stopped moving and sat down where he was.

"Haha, have you given up already? If you beg me, maybe I can forgive you and give you a break."

"But I advise you to be quick, because the monsters will get stronger and stronger."

The Maze Master saw Qin Tian sitting on the ground and thought Qin Tian was giving up, so his voice became even more arrogant.

Qin Tian ignored the Maze Master and took out a stack of skill books from his inventory.
