2: Killing chickens to level up, weapon proficiency is also upgraded billions of times

Qin Tian arrived outside the city.

Because his level was too low, he couldn't enter dungeons, so he could only level up by killing wild monsters outside the city.

"Hey buddy, are you alone? Want to join our team? Our average level is almost 10, and we even have a girl!"

As soon as he left the city, someone enthusiastically greeted him. He was carrying a shield and was a Defense Warrior.

Forming a team was undoubtedly the best way to grind monsters, even at low levels.

The Defense Warrior was responsible for attracting the monsters' aggro, the Healer was responsible for healing, and the rest could output damage freely. The efficiency was very high, and most importantly, it was safe.

After all, this was the real world; once killed by a monster, one was truly dead.

Qin Tian didn't speak; instead, he pulled out his weapon, a beginner's longsword.

This beginner's longsword had already answered for him.

Seeing the longsword in Qin Tian's hand, Sun Long's expression changed, and he immediately corrected himself: "Sorry, buddy, my friend just contacted me. We're full. Let's team up next time."

After saying that, he ran off without looking back.

Qin Tian wasn't surprised by this, as using a sword as a beginner was undoubtedly the most foolish choice.

After the real world merged with the game, everyone gained attribute points.

Upon leveling up, each attribute automatically increased by 1, and players received 5 free attribute points to distribute.

Increasing [Constitution] could increase [HP] and [HP Recovery Speed].

Increasing [Strength] could increase [Attack Power] and [Weight Capacity].

Increasing [Endurance] could increase [Defense Power] and [Stamina Recovery].

Increasing [Intelligence] could increase [Mana] and [Spell Power].

Increasing [Agility] could increase [Attack Speed] and [Movement Speed].

Equipping gear required corresponding attributes to reach a certain number of points.

For example, to equip a great axe, 50 Strength was needed. If Strength wasn't enough, it couldn't be picked up at all.

Magical items used by mages also required corresponding Intelligence to be used.

Sword-type weapons, however, were among the few that required both [Strength] and [Agility] attributes to meet the requirements before they could be equipped.

Even the beginner's longsword was like this, requiring 15 points in both [Strength] and [Agility] to be equipped.

In the early game, every single attribute point was crucial.

Putting attribute points into Agility before level 10 was a complete waste of damage output.

What was the point of a slightly faster attack if it couldn't even break through the defenses of monsters of the same level?

"Anyone who uses a sword is a noob, especially below level 10, no exceptions."

Sun Long couldn't help but complain. He had too much say in this matter.

In the beginning, he had stubbornly teamed up with a few sword-wielding players several times.

No miracles ever happened; everyone's damage was ridiculously low.

So when Sun Long saw Qin Tian pull out his sword, he ran away without hesitation.

Why team up with someone who couldn't even make monsters bleed? To let him leech experience for free?

Qin Tian didn't look at the departing Sun Long; his gaze fell on the other side.

There was a chicken there.

Clucking.

A level 1 chicken.

Killing it would grant 1 experience point.

Qin Tian walked over and struck with his sword.

The chicken let out a tragic cry, turning into a white light and disappearing.

An egg was left on the ground.

It was an item dropped by the chicken upon its death.

Qin Tian looked at his experience bar; the experience bar, which was originally only a little over ten percent, instantly increased by a large margin.

100 experience points!

Under the effect of the Billion-Fold Upgrade talent, the experience was multiplied!

It was directly multiplied by 100 times!

Just a few more kills, and he would level up immediately.

If this leveling speed were to spread, it would immediately shock the world.

This was only a hundred-fold upgrade; what if it were ten thousand-fold, or a billion-fold…

"Brother Long, what's going on with that guy? Is he unwilling to team up with us?"

Zhang Xiaoxiao, the Healer in Sun Long's team, asked timidly.

The reason she asked this was because they, too, came from very poor families.

Those with good family backgrounds and connections wouldn't team up with strangers to grind wild monsters at all.

From level 0, they had acquaintances to help them level up to the point where they could enter dungeons, and then someone would carry them through dungeons while they just watched.

Some descendants of top-tier big shots could even drink experience potions from birth, not needing to fight monsters at all. They would already be high-level with top-tier equipment by childhood.

"Hmph, it's not his turn to look down on us. Did you see? He's using a beginner's sword. That guy is clearly a noob; he has no damage output at all. Putting him in the team would only drag down our leveling."

Sun Long scoffed.

"Ah, then it'll be too hard for him alone, won't it? How about we help him out?"

Zhang Xiaoxiao felt a little pity for Qin Tian and couldn't bear it.

"Xiaoxiao, don't be so naive, okay? We can barely take care of ourselves. This isn't a game; if we don't level up quickly, we'll only be bullied. Have you forgotten how Uncle Zhang was bullied before?"

Sun Long patiently persuaded her, but he didn't dare to say too much.

Even though she was a beginner Healer, she was still a scarce profession.

He was afraid that if he said too much, Zhang Xiaoxiao might impulsively leave the team, which would truly be a loss.

Hearing Sun Long mention her father being bullied before, Zhang Xiaoxiao's eyes immediately turned red.

Thinking of those hateful people, she felt utterly helpless.

Indeed, as Sun Long said, they had to level up quickly.

Only when their level was high enough and they joined a guild could they avoid being bullied.

"I know, Brother Long. You go continue calling people. I'll give him a buff and be right back."

Hearing Zhang Xiaoxiao say this, Sun Long no longer tried to persuade her.

Adding a buff was just a matter of two or three minutes, though it would consume a good amount of mana.

If she had to level up later, she would also need to drink mana potions to recover, which would be another expense.

But luckily, Sun Long wouldn't have to pay for it.

After killing one chicken, Qin Tian didn't continue killing more chickens.

He had discovered something, something that would shock the entire world if it got out.

His sword weapon proficiency had become level 98, just 1 level away from max level.

Weapon proficiency, as the name suggests, was the degree of skill in using a weapon.

A person who had used a sword for a hundred years and a person who used a sword for the first time, given the same longsword, would have vastly different power when using it.

This was the manifestation of proficiency.

The higher the proficiency, the more power one could unleash from the weapon.

Just like Qin Tian now, the higher his sword weapon proficiency, the faster he could swing his sword, the higher the chance of hitting monsters, and the higher the chance of landing critical hits, doubling his damage.

Before killing the chicken, Qin Tian clearly remembered that his sword weapon proficiency was only level 3, a level he had reached after almost a month of using a sword.

And just now, by killing only one chicken, his sword weapon proficiency had risen from level 3 to level 98.

One should know that even the top sword masters on the leaderboard, who were exceptionally talented and had trained hard for many years, were only level 91.

Weapon proficiency experience, like character leveling experience, became higher and harder to obtain the further one progressed.

There were even rumors that only super-master families who inherently used that type of weapon could raise their weapon proficiency levels in the later stages.

But now, Qin Tian had directly risen to level 98.

Undoubtedly, it was the Billion-Fold Upgrade talent.

This talent also worked on weapon proficiency upgrades.

And the effect was definitely more than 100 times!
