I decided to brush my hair to the other side, combing with my fingers, obviously since they don’t have a brush in this era yet. They carry their hair like it’s some sponge, but I don’t think it’s so bad either.

I mean, take a look at Veyra’s hair. I’m sure she doesn’t have a decent brush but she finds a way to make her hair look good.

And don’t even get me started on how Damar takes care of those silky pretty silver locks of his. He puts those who actually put in effort to shame.

I tied my hair with a twig and there, I covered my left neck nicely. Now, unless someone intentionally flips my hair away, they’ll never know of the snake mark there, but I doubt I’ll let anyone that close.

Anyway, this hairstyle reveals a lot of things while covering up the snake mark. Like, I don’t know, the numerous hickeys were all over my neck and body.

Even my stomach had these ’mosquito bites’.

Those two beasts made sure to leave no place untouched, leaving so many marks that it would be clear to anyone that I was owned.

It was as if they were trying to announce to the entire beast world that I had a wild night last night.

The flap of my cave rustled and then shifted aside. I turned my head to see who it was and found Fenric standing with the sun in his teeth.

"You’re awake, wife." He said, excitedly, and then came to press his head against mine. "Did you sleep well?"

"Y-yeah!"

His energy this morning was wild.

All of a sudden, he licked my face— talk about keeping a dog. Then, he kissed my lips and then my forehead and then down to my neck, where the necklace still hung beautifully, and this caused him to pause, twisting his lips as he envied the necklace around my neck.

"Arinya, I’ll get you a gift too." He said and I wondered what brought that up.

Then, I noticed his eyes on the scale necklace.

"You don’t really have to," I said but he shook his head.

"Don’t worry. I’ve got this."

He was trying to show off how capable he was again. I sighed and decided to request something instead of just letting him bring random things over.

As a beast warrior, he was very strong so I was sure he could catch pretty much any animal out there with his bare hands.

"Then, will you get me what I want?" I asked and his eyes twinkled, nodding as his tail wagged behind him.

"I’ll get you whatever you want, Arinya."

"Then, that material around your waist," I said pointing at his layered skirt. I’ll just call it a skirt since it seems easier to explain. It had multiple layers seen together and I guess it’s because of the cold in the mountain region they come from.

The fur is soft and doesn’t absorb water easily, which is why he had no problem going into the water with it the other time.

If I can get a material like that, I should be able to make myself some comfortable shorts and underwear.

I think this is the most comfortable piece of hide or pelt I can use to make clothes for myself.

"...where did you get it?" I asked. "What animal did you get it from and how exactly were you able to skin it so well?"

Fenric blinked and then looked at his skirt.

"Is that all you want to know?"

"Yes," I said, my eyes peering eagerly into his.

He looked at me for a few seconds and then laughed, resting his chin on his knuckle.

"Arinya, you’re adorable."

I blinked, taken aback by the sudden compliment.
