64: Chapter 64 Is being a flight attendant tiring?

By evening, Yang Fan had already arrived at the restaurant Bai Bing had suggested.

The restaurant's location was excellent; it was indoors, offering a beautiful view of the river and the city.

"Good evening, Mr. Yang!"

Seeing Yang Fan arrive, Bai Bing greeted him.

However, the form of address was a bit too formal.

Yang Fan nodded.

Looking at her outfit, she gave off a completely different vibe than she did on the plane.

Standing 1.73 meters tall, she wore crystal high heels that accentuated her fair, slender legs. Paired with denim shorts, a plaid shirt, and long hair cascading over her shoulders, she wore light makeup that highlighted her delicate and beautiful features.

With those legs and her profession...

One could play with those legs for a year!

"Just call me Yang Fan, or Brother Fan if you'd like."

Yang Fan didn't care if she was younger than him; being called 'Mr.' all the time felt a bit awkward.

"Then I'll call you Brother Fan!"

Bai Bing invited Yang Fan to his seat.

"Do you have any dietary restrictions?"

"None. Order whatever you like."

"Would you like some wine?"

Yang Fan glanced at her. If you take a girl out and don't drink, is there something wrong with you? What's the point of coming out then?

To have a heart-to-heart?

"Let's have some. How can we enjoy this view without a drink?"

Yang Fan was no longer some innocent boy. After all, kind people are bullied, just as gentle horses are ridden.

When you talk about feelings, they talk about money.

Once you have money, they start talking about feelings again.

Bai Bing nodded. If they didn't drink, how could she give him an opportunity?

She just didn't want Yang Fan to think she was frivolous; otherwise, she would have invited him straight to a hotel.

After all, if she didn't seize a man like this, was she supposed to stay at the airline forever?

Tall, rich, and handsome—Yang Fan had it all.

"Brother Fan, do you have business in Shanghai?"

"Yeah, I started a company."

It was technically open, but Yang Fan still didn't even know which way the company's front door faced!

"You're truly young and promising. Unlike me—being a flight attendant is exhausting work day in and day out!"

"Is being a flight attendant that tiring?"

Yang Fan wondered. Was it the kind of 'tiring' he was thinking of?

After all, many big shots were fond of the flight attendant industry.

"You only see our glamorous side!"

"Our working hours are irregular; we have to wake up at three in the morning for flights. Plus, we get random complaints every day even when we haven't done anything wrong."

"We have to clean the plane, scrub toilets, and even deal with vomit from airsick passengers."

"And after landing, there are all sorts of invitations and social obligations to navigate!!"

Bai Bing sighed.

She really wanted to be with a tycoon, but she hadn't met one. Most were just corporate executives who were employees themselves; they didn't have the resources to support her lifestyle.

This was the first time Yang Fan had heard such a perspective.

In his mind, these flight attendants spent their off-hours dating bosses at high-end restaurants and entertainment venues.

On the plane, they just served meals and asked about passengers' needs.

He hadn't expected there to be another side to it.

He had been too narrow-minded; no profession is purely glamorous.

"Yeah, I guess I oversimplified the service industry."

By then, most of the dishes had been served.

"Brother Fan, let me toast you. You're basically my savior; I was scared to death back then!"

"I didn't expect you to be so skilled!"

Bai Bing picked up her glass, her eyes full of admiration as she looked at Yang Fan.

Who could refuse a tycoon who gifts a Ferrari upon meeting?

"I was just saving myself at the time!"

"In the old days, people would repay their saviors by giving themselves to them. Don't you have any token of gratitude?"

Yang Fan also picked up his glass and clinked it against Bai Bing's.

"I'd love to, but I'm afraid the lady at your home might come after me with a knife!"

One look at Li Anlan told Bai Bing she wasn't just a secretary; she was definitely his wife or girlfriend.

While the two were flirting, a voice drifted over.

"Yang Fan!"

"Hehe, you certainly don't waste any time switching girlfriends."

Hearing the voice, Yang Fan looked up. He was speechless to see who it was. He ran into her while buying a car, and now he was running into her while eating.

"Hehe, Xu Jing. Did you realize that old men aren't reliable and decided to rely on a pretty boy instead?"

Yang Fan hadn't expected Shanghai to be such a small world.

Wang Linjie glanced at Xu Jing. Didn't she say she just graduated from college?

Xu Jing already regretted speaking to Yang Fan; she hadn't expected him to be so merciless with his words now.

"Don't talk nonsense! That was just a client of my company. If you keep spreading rumors, I'll sue you!"

Wang Linjie added:

"Kid, you can eat whatever you want, but watch your mouth. Believe it or not, I could cripple a student like you and get away with it scot-free."

"I don't believe you."

Yang Fan beckoned him over with his finger, as if calling a puppy.

Wang Linjie tugged at his collar. He thought he'd picked up some innocent young girl, but it turned out she was someone else's casual hookup, and now this guy was laughing at him.

He grabbed a nearby stool and swung it at Yang Fan's head.

Seeing Wang Linjie's move, both women gasped and instinctively closed their eyes.

They thought it was all over—surely this wouldn't end in a murder.

Yang Fan caught the stool with one hand and kicked the man squarely in the chest.

Wang Linjie was sent flying by Yang Fan's kick, crashing into and overturning several tables.

Wang Linjie's mind went blank. Who am I? Where am I? Why am I flying?

Yang Fan only used twenty percent of his strength, but it was enough to keep Wang Linjie in the hospital for months.

He was certain the guy had broken several ribs.

No one nearby had any intention of breaking up the fight; they all pulled out their phones to record the drama.

After all, there was no entertainment before, but with Wang Linjie's arrival, the show had started. They could post it on Douyin, WeChat Moments, and even Little Green Book.

Wang Linjie tried to get up a few times but failed.

Meanwhile, Yang Fan picked up his glass and took a sip of wine, looking perfectly relaxed.

"Brother Fan, are you okay? Maybe we should call the police first. After all, he was the one who started the trouble."

Bai Bing came over to check on Yang Fan; after all, the last thing she saw was Wang Linjie trying to smash a stool over his head.

"It's fine. Why call the police? If we do, how will all these people enjoy the show?"

Yang Fan looked at the crowd surrounding them, all holding up their phones to record.

Xu Jing also hurried to help Wang Linjie up.

Wang Linjie shoved her away and glared at Yang Fan with murderous eyes.

"Fine, kid. You've got guts, daring to hit me."

"In all my years, even my parents have never laid a hand on me. You actually dared to hit me? You're dead! I'm going to make sure you rot in prison!"

Yang Fan looked at him playfully.

"If your parents won't teach you a lesson, someone else will."

"Are you going to call for backup, or are you coming at me yourself?"

Yang Fan continued to provoke him, beckoning again like he was calling a dog. Originally, he wouldn't have deigned to humiliate anyone.

He didn't like showing off, but since Xu Jing had not only found a new man but also come over to brag about it...

How could he not give them a few metaphorical slaps in the face?

"You just wait, kid. I'm calling my people!"
