Wraiths are a fascinating and often feared topic in the world of mythology, and the paranormal. Mostly often depicted in fantasy novels and horror shows, highlighting their transition into the terrifying beings they are.

Wraiths are often characterized by different people, with different opinions about them. But there are three main characteristics one could use to identify a wraith:

1. Ethereal appearance: Wraiths are often described as ghostly, translucent beings with a misty or smoky appearance.

2. Restless spirits: Wraiths are said to be the spirits of individuals who have died in a state of great emotional turmoil, such as anger, sadness, or regret.

3. Bound to the mortal realm: Wraiths are believed to be trapped between the world of the living and the afterlife, often due to unfinished business or a strong emotional connection to a particular location or person.

Usually on Earth wraiths sightings were usually rare, as they were considered myths. Only in a fantasy novel or a paranormal show, could they be seen. But it didn’t mean there wasn’t a thing as wraiths, cause from time to time there would be one or more calls about a sighting of a ghostly presence, wandering a particular location.

Though it was mostly flagged as nonsense, some sightings were real. Because of their undead nature, it is written in most books that wraith’s are angry spirits that refuse to pass on after they die.

And because wraiths sightings were usually rare, and even if one did site a wraith it was a human instinct to flee from danger. But after some years, various books under paranormal activity depicted three major types of wraiths, according to their findings which are:

1. Vengeful wraiths: These wraiths are driven by a desire for revenge or retribution, often targeting those they deem responsible for their death or suffering.

2. Mournful wraiths: These wraiths are consumed by grief and sadness, often reliving the moments leading up to their death or searching for loved ones they’ve lost.

3. Protective wraiths: These wraiths are driven by a desire to protect a particular location, person, or object, often from those who would seek to harm them.



Along with the findings were also written on some books, protective measures to take when face to face by sudden with a wraith:

1. Caution and respect: When interacting with wraiths, it’s essential to approach them with caution and respect, as they can be unpredictable and volatile.

2. Empathy and understanding: Wraiths are often trapped in their emotional state, so offering empathy and understanding can help them find peace and move on.

3. Avoiding provocation: It’s crucial to avoid provoking or antagonizing wraiths, as this can escalate their emotions and lead to malevolent behavior.

Given their spectral bodies and undead nature, it’s tricky to kill a wraith without dying first. But according to some folklore stories and mythologies, there are several ways to kill a wraith:

1. Sacred objects: Wielding sacred objects like holy relics, blessed swords, or talismans can weaken or repel wraiths.

2. Magical attacks: Spells, incantations, or magical projectiles can harm or banish wraiths.

3. Silver or iron: In some mythologies, wraiths are vulnerable to silver or iron weapons.

4. Light-based attacks: Wraiths are often depicted as vulnerable to light, so using light-based attacks or sacred flames can be effective.

5. Severing ties to the mortal world: If a wraith is bound to a specific location or object, destroying or removing that connection can weaken or dispel the wraith.

And when dealing with a wraith it’s always important to remember:

1. Wraiths are often unpredictable: Be prepared for unpredictable behavior, and adapt your strategy accordingly.

2. Wraiths can possess or manipulate: Be cautious of wraiths attempting to possess, or manipulate you or others.

3. Wraiths may require specific weaknesses: Research the specific weaknesses of the wraith you’re facing, as they can vary greatly.

Kyle was taken aback by the sudden protrusion of the wraith’s, as he didn’t sense them at all. Before he could still sense the previous goblins, trolls, wraith’s, and the lava bird. But now he couldn’t. And not only that, but the fact that he also didn’t sense void eater like before.

"Shit. how could I be so stupid!" Kyle grunted, shooting out jetskis of dark flames to the wraiths. Xia and Ron didn’t also stay idle charging at the wraith’s, slashing their spike hand to the ghostly phantoms. Since the trio were the only ones, that could land a hit on the wraith’s.

’Snow can you tell how many wraiths are here?’ Kyle asked, avoiding two claws from two angry wraith then setting them ablaze with dark flames.

[My sensors can’t pinpoint the exact numbers of wraiths here, but I can give you an estimate.]

[There should be approximately 200 wraiths or more Kyle.] Snow said in a worried tone making Kyle’s eye widen in shock, as he wasn’t expecting to hear that. He’d expected snow to say a lesser number like 50, or hundred at maximum but 200?

Glancing at the prisoners, he could see a much greater of their numbers had fallen to the hand of the dreaded wraiths. Clenching his fists tightly he pushed himself forward, shooting out jetskis of dark flames at the wraiths.

He couldn’t afford to loose the prisoners as he still had plans for them, along with his noble heart title. According to the description, it granted him +20reputation points among nobles. Though he didn’t know how it worked, but he had a bit of an idea.

’Reputations points has been coming in since I started the riot. And according to the title, it’ll grant me +20 reputation points amongst every noble. Which must mean there’s some royals amongst them.’ Kyle thought avoiding four wraiths claws, leaping up to the air a bit as five wraiths potruded from the ground. Firing a dark flame ball towards them, it exploded with a small blast. Sending lines of flames everywhere. Looking, Kyle could see four out of the nine wraiths had died, as the remaining five made their presence evasive.

’Bastards.’ Kyle scoffed, landing softly as this was the challenge he faced. He was lucky he could kill them with dark flames, but only if they didn’t turn translucent.

"Whooo!! Eiy.. must be free get his soul." Kyle could hear various haunting whispers and echoes from the wraith’s, as they charged at him. He wasn’t fazed as he shot at them, closing the gap in an instant using the momentum to shoot a dark flames ball to a wraith by the right, catching it off guard.

He tried doing the same to the next, but it sunk into the ground. Sidestepping, he avoided the slash marks from the wraith behind him. Placing his hand to it’s chest a big jetski of dark flames shot out, enveloping the wraith body as it dissipated into thin air.

Leaping back a bit Kyle was readjusting his attack moves, seeing the three remaining wraith’s had now turned translucent. Engaging with them, he was mostly on defense only attack at the right opportunity. But still he still got some hits here and there, as he couldn’t make his body evasive like them.

’Wait.. why didn’t I think of it sooner.’ Kyle slapped his head in frustration, as an idea popped up.



[Don’t tell me you’re actually going to do what you’re thinking. You’re going to die you moron!] Snow immediately debunked his idea as suicide.

’Never say never.’ Throwing out dark flames while avoiding them, he managed to kill another wraith remaining two. Enraged the two creatures blazed at him, one flying in the air while the other continued blinking towards him.

Not leaping back or avoiding Kyle simply stood still, as the two creatures attacked him.

[Shadow walk activated.]

His body immediately turned into a shadowy figure, before their claws hit. Like normal their claws passed through his body, but just like void eater he’d expected to be affected but there was nothing.

’Haha! just like I suspected.’ Kyle grinned evily, seeing the confused look on their faces as they tried to severe him. Shooting out dark flames from his palm, he burned them alive.

"Argh!" His victory was short lived hearing a scream he recognized. Looking back, he could see his mother and father were overwhelmed by several wraiths. Several slash marks were made on their body, with blood flowing out.

"Get away from them!" Kyle screamed like a madman, shooting like a missile firing jetskis of dark flames killing them. Embracing his parents in his arms, he could see they were spent and wounded.

"It’s all my fault.. don’t worry, you don’t have to fight anymore. I’ll finish it." Kyle softly muttered, kissing their forehead. Standing up his eyes were a mixture of black and red, staring ahead at void eater with rage.

"Let’s finish this." Kyle spoke in a dark coarse tone, his aura seeping out from him. Grinning void eater simply snapped his fingers, and like a command all the wraith’s halted in their step.

"I wouldn’t have it any other way."
