[Kyle, am sensing an abnormal flunctuation of strange energy from him.] Snow broke the silence. It had just been a minute since their battle with the black ants.

And were tired and worn but they were now faced with a new prescence.

Why are you here? Kyle calmly asked. He couldn’t tell if this figure was male, female or beast. Nor could he tell what it’s purpose was here and now. But he didn’t sense any malice coming from the figure.

I live here. The figure lightly scoffed. It’s you I should be asking that.

Not responding Kyle intently stared at the hooded figure trying to read through it’s intentions.

If it lives here then there might be more of it’s kind. He plaused not sensing more of this strange presence nearby. But still the possibility of there being more of this hooded figure couldn’t be ruled out.

No, there isn’t more of my kind, and if I wanted you dead trust me.. you would be. The hooded figure said making Kyle’s heart skip a beat.

I-it read my thoughts. Does it have a high telekinesis skill or ability? The idea of reading one’s mind has always been theorized by scientists as being a myth.

But now with the emergence of abilities and strange superpowers. It wasn’t a matter of real or fake but low or high.

[I highly doubt that. If it does posses a telekinesis skill or ability then it wasn’t used as I couldn’t feel a break or link.] Snow softly said calming Kyle’s mind a bit.

At first he’d thought the system had been breached again by a powerful opponent. Probably a few ranks higher than him, in the ranks of Vladimir and Lilith. Which would only spell more disaster for him but luckily, it wasn’t the case.



Turning the figure suddenly started walking away. If you want to live then follow me.

And why should we trust you. Your presence doesn’t exactly scream friendly. And the fact you didn’t harm us now could be a trick to letting our guards down. Kyle frowned.

They were in an unknown foreign castle on a suicide quest. And having encountered a lot lately trust didn’t seem to be a reliable word anymore.

Ha.. if you want to be food for the beasts here then be my guest. But I fail to see how this will side your quest in rescuing Lumia. The figure uttered continuing on walking leaving a bewildered Kyle behind.

How does he know?

Lumia castle was separated a bit away from the kingdom. But word of Lynn’s havoc and lumia’s kidnapping was known to all. Along with the destruction of parts of the castle and it’s kingdom.

Nevertheless knowing troy he was certain it would be contained within Lumia walls.

Hesitating a bit Kyle contemplated on if to follow this figure. Though they had the map it didn’t provide key details about specific places on it. Only highlighting few images with words displayed on it.

Simply put it was limited GPS, with limited coverage. With the addition of enough booby trap that could kill them if they made a mistake.

Thank you, but no thanks. Kyle said stunning the figure a bit not expecting that.

Very well then. Snapping it’s fingers the room suddenly started shaking startling the trio.

Bang bang!

Several boulder sized rocks fell from the ceiling crashing into the ground. Furiously shaking the room which threatened to collapse any minute now.

Gritting his teeth Kyle looked for an exit but couldn’t find any. Like the intersected crossroads moments ago had magically disappeared without a trace.

Bastard! Kyle screamed trying to move his legs but only winced in pain. Stumbling in his steps along with a stinging pain.

[Wait.. I don’t think it’s trying to kill us Kyle.] Snow abruptly spoke.

Seriously? The room if literally caving in on us. Kyle sarcastically said seeing the room still falling apart.

[No, my sensors are detecting traces of an unidentified mechanism in use.] Listening to her Kyle didn’t believe at first. But looking closer he could see the room wasn’t caving in but in fact restructuring itself.

Replacing the old red brick walls with eerie green lights with a more white one. That seemed to have been made from smooth white pebbles.

Even the ceiling had been removed. Displaying the clear crystal sky with three moons in view. Parts of the ground had been destroyed, replaced with white tiles and statues that sprouted upwards.

You might want to move from there. The figure said. Paying heed Kyle moved from spot along with xia and Ron going over to where the figure was. Standing at a relatively far distance from the figure.

Unbelievable. Kyle softly muttered experiencing all this. He’d only seen such happening in exploration movies and fantasy movies. But now he was watching it happening with his own two eyes.

Welcome to the hall of the fallens. The figure said with a warm tone.

Clang!

A final clang sound erupted as the room shifted into balance.

Follow me, there is something you need to see. The figure said already walking away like usual.

Not having a choice Kyle and his parents followed suit tailing behind the figure.

I’ve always seen all these in movies but I never thought this was real. Kyle uttered with a hint of shock and excitement staring at the perfectly sculptured white statues.

If you like what you see then you’re surely going to die for what’s inside. The figure smiled. Going up the colourful steps made from different marble colours.

Reaching the end of the not so long steps there were two silver gates with an embodiment of two lions in front.

Open. The figure calmly said Gritting his teeth he blocked the dark beams with the katana. Planting his leg into the ground to avoid being blasted away. But to his surprise he lost out against the battle of strength, sent skidding back by the beam.

Is it just me or did that ant use dark energy. Being a demon he could feel and sense negative energy. Dark being one of them.

And the only time he’d encountered a foe using dark energy was with the necrolites. Until now with these strange black ants.

[I also wasn’t certain but my sensors are picking up traces of dark energy in the air.] Snow added confirming Kyle’s suspicions.

Then I guess I have no other option. Nodding Kyle resorted to the only option he had left.

The charging ants stopped feeling a sudden change in the atmosphere. Before everyone’s eye Kyle grew some feet’s taller. His clothes ripped off and skin replaced with a much dark and thicker one. His fingernails elongated forming menacing sharp claws. Along with huge curved horns sprouting from his forehead.

Roar! The demon let out a dominant roar slightly shaking the room. It’s two blood red eyes staring at the ants with bloodthrist.

Screech! Not backing down the ants all rushed at Kyle, with their teeths clattering about.



K-kyle? Ron stuttered a bit confused seeing Kyle suddenly become an 8 feet tall monster.

He-he.. Kyle, grown. Xia let out an eerie chuckle excitedly rubbing her hands like a little child.

Bam!

Kyle lept up a bit slamming down into the ground, chucking the black ants up. Not stopping he furiously slashed at the nearest ant. Sending it flying backwards into a wall.

Mhm. He grunted feeling the ant’s sharp mouth clamp his robust leg. Sinking into the thick skin, drawing out fresh blood.

Grabbing the ant he ripped it into two tossing both it’s halves away. Out of reflex the demon twisted his body. Swiping it’s huge claw at the incoming ant to his side.

The claw connected to the ant pushing it back a few feet’s. But it quickly regained itself frantically moving it’s legs to the demon.

Leaping up Kyle slammed hard to the group of three black ants. Creating a small crater shaking the room. Raising his hand he attempted to claw the ants but a dark beams hit his hand.

Stunned momentarily the ants seized the opportunity. One bit out a chunk from Kyle’s chest while the other two swiftly used their eight legs. Piercing Kyle’s leg sending him down to a knee.

Screech!

An ant lept out from nowhere it’s jaw wide open. But few inches from biting the creature head off the ants eye squinted seeing the creature raise it’s head.

In the blink of an eye the demon disappeared from spot. Swiping it’s claw at the ant chest sending it flying back. Stomping it’s foot it lept up heading after the ant. Letting out a barrage of slashes in the air. The sounds of metal clashing against metal resounded as the two battled mid air.

Roar! Grabbing the ant he landed on a wall smashing the beast face in. Using his two powerful hooved feet’s to run along the wall.

Bam!

An object flew fast from the air crashing to the ground hard. Erecting up some clouds of dust. The ant exoskeleton had cracks with green blood spilling to the floor. Along with some limbs missing.

Attempting to stand another figure crashed into the ant. With two swings the ant head rolled off falling t the ground with a thud.

Screech! The remaining three ants let it a screech of rage staring at Kyle. He’d single handedly took out 2 of their kind in less than two minutes.

Picking up a boulder he tossed it towards the ant. But halfway through three dark beams pierced the air destroying the boulder.

Roar! He screamed loudly feeling an something pierce his back. Attempting to move he couldn’t feeling his body going numb.

[Warning! host has been infected by abnormal dark energy]

The system notification flashed be this eyes followed by a stinging reoccurring pain. As the black ant stabbed the demon with all it’s legs.

Screech! One of the ants made turned making it’s way to xia and Ron.

Rarr- Kyle tried to stand but the ants wouldn’t let him. One at his back chomping off chunks of his thick skin. While constantly stabbing him in the back, drawing out fresh blood.

While the other fired a jetski of dark energy at him draining his hp.

The system notifications flashed before his eyes highlighting his hp being drained by the second.

K-kyle trouble.

We help Kyle! Running forward xia and Ron attacked the ants. Ron going high while xia went low. They were surprisingly able to keep up with the ant speed.

Blocking it’s strikes by forming a gooey shield, which trapped the ant’s leg. Then the other would severe the beast limb.

Screech!

The ant let out a rage screech leaping by a bit. It had expected to quickly finish off xia and Ron but they were really formidable together.

Opening it’s mouth wide the duo could understand what came next. Fusing their arms they formed a huge gooey shield. Just in time as the ant let out the dark beam. Hitting the black gooey shield point blank.

The blast was powerful sending them skidding back. But the shield wasn’t blown to bits like expected. Instead retaining it’s resistance to the dark beam.

Seeing it’s attack failed the ant then ran forward fast. In attempt to quickly end them both.

Must, help, kyle?! They both yelled shooting out the dark beam from the goo shield. Stunned the ant tried to move away from the attack but couldn’t. Held in place by an unknown force.

Boom!

A small explosion occured as the beam connected with the ant. Breaking through it’s tough exoskeleton armour, disintegrating it’s skin.

Seizing the opportunity the demon broke free using all his strength to move. Pouncing on the ant in front slashing away at it with his claws.



Screech!

The second ant lept in the air but the demon was prepared. Evading just in time as the ant dug it’s two front legs to the other ant. Instantly killing it.

Roar! Before the ant could think the demon pounced on it. Furiously clawing at it’s tough skin. Digging it’s claws deep into it’s chest killing it.

[Quest completed!]

Slowly the demon shrank reverting back into a normal naked human.

Kyle! Xia yelled as they both rushed in to help him stand before he fell.

T-thank you. He weakly uttered earning a light smile from the two.

Now that was impressive.. a deep voice spoke with the emergence of a figure in front.

Who are you!? Kyle frowned sensing a strange disperse of aura from this individual.
