299: Chapter 300 Who is not a idealist?

On Pilgrimage Square, the wind finally stopped.

The suffocating blood-red color of the sky gradually faded away.

The forcibly torn barrier of reality began to slowly heal, much like a scab forming over a wound.

After all, the Khorne Greater Daemon was an entity from the Warp.

Its essence was the materialized condensation of extreme emotions and Warp energy.

It was hard to truly kill.

Even when brutally dismembered by players, it merely consumed the energy it used to sustain itself in the real universe.

At this moment, as the energy inside the Greater Daemon was depleted, its massive corpse collapsed in the ruins and began to rapidly dissipate.

Its muscles withered and its bones turned to ash.

In just a few minutes, the mountain of remains transformed into dark red ashes flying all over the sky, returning once again to the abyss of the Warp.

In its place, it left behind only some fragmented armor stained with a chaotic aura, along with a few twisted pieces of body tissue that had not yet fully vaporized.

But in the eyes of the players, these were top-grade drops all over the ground.

The square instantly descended into chaos.

"Don't snatch it! I chopped off this brass breastplate!"

"Bullshit! That was bitten off by my teeth!"

"Form a team and roll for it! Whoever dares to ninja the gear, I'll call them out on the forum!"

In the center of the ruins, Flame Fist did not join in the commotion.

He was tightly gripping a dark red, viscous ball of blood in his hand.

This was the core substance left behind after the double-headed battle axe in the Greater Daemon's hand dissipated.

The blood ball exuded a nauseating sulfur stench.

Flame Fist glanced at it and curled his lips:

"I remember in the Warhammer lore that this kind of demon core cannot be used directly. It must go through special purification treatment, otherwise it's easy to get possessed."

"Looks like I need to browse the forum and check out the guides; anyway, I can't hold on much longer."

The side effects of the fifteen-fold gene overload began to violently backfire inside his body.

Flame Fist turned his head and waved at Player Pi She and Nicotine Truth, who were counting equipment nearby.

"Pi She! Zhen!"

Flame Fist instructed at a rapid speed,

"Tell the brothers that whatever drops from the Greater Daemon must absolutely not be worn directly, let alone eaten! There's contamination, put them in your inventory first, I'll log off to find a way to purify them."

He pointed at the golden Power Armor on his body:

"Also, pack up my gear properly. If anyone dares to swipe my gear, I won't be polite."

Player Pi She made an OK gesture: "Rest assured, see you tomorrow."

The next moment.

The terrifying force of gene collapse surged forth like a tidal wave.

Flame Fist didn't even manage to let out a scream.

That tall physique instantly melted inside the Power Armor, turning into a puddle of bubbling blood.

He went back to read the respawn bar.

Player Pi She skillfully disassembled and packed Flame Fist's Power Armor, stuffing it into the tactical backpack.

Afterwards, he turned around, looked at the devastated Pilgrimage Square, and began leading people to clean up the battlefield.

According to the Empire's administrative regulations,

after engaging with Chaos warbands, high-concentration Promethium must be used to thoroughly burn and purify the battlefield to prevent any residual Warp corruption.

This matter wasn't hard to handle.

Summoning a dozen mechs down from orbit would burn everything clean in just a few hours.

But now there was a tricky problem.

There were still tens of thousands of surviving civilians and defeated Defense Force soldiers at the scene.

These NPCs witnessed the entire process of the Greater Daemon's descent and the players dismembering the demon.

In the Empire's dogma, these people were all unstable factors contaminated by the Warp, and their only end was a dead end.

Nicotine Truth happened to walk over to Player Pi She's side.

He looked at those NPCs huddled in the corners, with dazed eyes and bodies trembling uncontrollably.

"Pi She, what should we do with these NPCs?"

Zhen asked,

"According to the setting, do we have to dig a pit and bury them directly? Or let the orbital cannons scrub the ground?"

Player Pi She rolled his eyes.

"Bury what bury! Are you stupid?"

Player Pi She slapped Zhen in exasperation,

"Don't you know how scarce the population of our Shelter base is right now? Don't you know how valuable cross-galaxy labor dispatch is? These are all top-quality free laborers!"

Zhen scratched his head:

"But the setting says that to purify NPCs contaminated by demons, you either rely on the Inquisition for brainwashing or the Grey Knights to erase memories. We don't know this craft, what if they go to work sick and mutate in the factory?"

Player Pi She stroked his chin, his eyeballs rolling around slyly.

"We definitely can't pull off high-end operations like brainwashing."

Player Pi She suddenly had a flash of inspiration,

"However, can't our faction BOSS use the blessing of the old man in yellow to enchant items?"

"Let's go back and get a few sets of high-power external speakers, take them to the BOSS for enchantment, and stamp them with the double-headed eagle seal."

The more Player Pi She talked, the more feasible he felt it was,

"Then use these enchanted speakers to play positive-energy mainstream melody songs on a 24-hour loop in the refugee camps of these civilians. Doesn't that equal group purification!"

Zhen listened in a daze, looking suspicious.

"This thing... is it really useful?"

"How can it not be useful?!"

Player Pi She confidently patted his chest,

"Did you forget that earlier we used calculus DJing to annoy old K's blessing away! The principle of this thing is all the same!"

"Oh well, anyway, just tell those NPCs that listening to this song every day can make them normal. In the Warhammer Universe, faith itself is a kind of idealistic power."

Our belief in science is also idealism, and their belief in the Emperor is also idealism. Who isn't idealistic if not idealistic?

As long as we can fool the system's judgment.

Zhen pondered for a long time, and nodded deeply in agreement:

"That actually seems to be the logic, let's do it like this!"

The post-war work on the surface of Black Rock Planet began to be carried out methodically under an absurd logic.

At the same time,

the Brotherhood of Steel did not stay on the capital planet for too long.

A large number of brawny players began to split their forces, taking armed shuttles and advancing rapidly toward other planets on the thirteen-world chain.

Although the other worlds did not suffer from the exaggerated destructive rampage of the World Eaters warband, they still suffered varying degrees of Chaos corruption or Warp invasion.

The goal of the Brotherhood of Steel was very clear.

They planned to manage this Morning Star world, composed of thirteen planets, as the legion's true rear area and logistics base.

Wherever they passed,

whether Chaos heretics or disobedient indigenous warlords, they were all physically persuaded by power hammers.

Passing by those uninhabited barren satellites, players would also casually plant the torch flag representing the Spark Alliance and the metal Warhammer totem representing the Brotherhood of Steel.

...

Just as the players were busy carving out territory,

on the outermost periphery of the Black Rock Planet star system,

behind an asteroid belt, the Ashen Claws fleet was quietly hovering.

On the bridge, Captain Katz sat in the command chair.

His forehead was covered with fine cold sweat, sliding down his cheeks.

Just now, through long-range tactical probes, he had witnessed with his own eyes that bizarre boarding battle to the extreme.

That strange fleet, which didn't even have official Imperial paint, not only actively went to engage in broadside boarding combat with the World Eaters warband,

but also, in close combat, with a violent posture, directly beat the World Eaters' proud slaughter squad upside down.

The outcome completely exceeded his expectations.

"What the hell."

Katz wiped the cold sweat with a handkerchief,

"Such strong combat power? Since when has the Empire had such an unreasonable force? Which lunatic created this monster chapter?"

But he did not order a retreat.

Katz was still waiting.

He was an experienced hunter; the boarding battle was only a part of it.

On the surface of Black Rock Planet, there was still a Chaos Lord of the World Eaters and eight Chosen Champions.

"Hehe."

Katz sneered,

"No matter how strong those grey-armored warriors are, encountering the berserk World Eaters Lord will be enough to give them a hard time. Once they both suffer and exhaust each other, I'll drive the fleet straight over and play a black-eat-black game. Whether it's ships or weapons, they all belong to me."

Just as Katz was dreaming of making a fortune,

the reconnaissance array master suddenly pushed open the bridge doors and hurried over.

When Katz saw his subordinate's paper-white face, his heart suddenly skipped a beat.

A very bad premonition surged into his heart.

"What's wrong?" Katz said with a sunken face, "Did the Chaos warband win?"

The array master swallowed a mouthful of dry saliva, his voice shaking:

"My lord, it's bad, a high-energy reaction occurred on the surface of Black Rock Planet... They summoned a Greater Daemon from the Warp."

Katz froze.

Afterwards, he let out a long sigh.

His original black-eat-black plan instantly fell through in his heart.

He understood.

The result of this battle was already very clear.

Even for the lowest-tier, lowest-level eighth-order Greater Daemon, if the Ashen Claws wanted to deal with it, they would have to use the chapter's precious relic artifacts to possibly take it down.

Not to mention there was still a Chaos Lord and eight champions at the scene.

Those grey-armored warriors must be completely dead.

Only this way, his chance to pick up scraps was also gone.

"Hmm." Katz nodded, feeling somewhat regretful, "Forget it, notify the engine room, prepare to leave."

Just as he was about to turn his head,

the array master wiped his cold sweat, "My lord, I haven't finished speaking yet... and then that Greater Daemon, along with that Chaos Lord, were beaten to death together by that group of grey-armored warriors."

"What?!"

Katz abruptly stood up from the primary seat.

"What do you mean the Greater Daemon and the Chaos Lord were beaten to death together?!"

The array master trembled and began to report in detail the images he saw from the high-magnification reconnaissance array.

He recounted how those grey-armored giants used their physical bodies to pile the demon to death.

He recounted the pillar of light from the Blood God descending from the sky.

He recounted how they used strange sounds to dispel the Evil God's blessing, and finally forcefully pinned the Greater Daemon to the ground and tore it into pieces.

The report ended.

The array master came to a conclusion that made even himself feel terrified.

"My lord, the Empire absolutely cannot cultivate monsters like this."

The array master looked at Katz,

"Those grey-armored warriors are more excited than Khorne followers when killing, and they aren't afraid of death either. They must also be followers of some unknown evil god, and... they are the craziest, most terrifying heretics I have ever seen."

After hearing these words,

Katz only felt a chill rush straight to his crown.

The hairs on his back stood on end.

Lunatic heretics who rubbed a Khorne Greater Daemon on the ground?!

Who the fuck is picking up scraps here anymore! If we stay any longer, even our ashes will be scattered by that group of monsters!

Without the slightest hesitation, Katz turned his head and roared at the top of his lungs toward the navigator's isolation chamber:

"Change course! Immediately! Right now!"

"Warp engines at full power! Leave this ghost place! Go to that so-called Yuanwang Star System!"

Not wanting to stay a single second longer, he directly packed up and ran away.
