25: How can I make my husband fall in love with someone else?
Jiang Shuwan's brows were tightly furrowed, her face a mask of distress.
Chun Tao thought she had finally realized the situation and was about to offer some advice.
But then she heard Jiang Shuwan mutter to herself.
"Then how can I make Husband like Sister Lu?"
"Huh?"
Chun Tao was completely dumbfounded.
"Madam! You must be crazy. What woman hopes for her own husband to take a concubine?"
Jiang Shuwan replied with a deadpan expression.
"What's wrong with that? Is there any man in the world who doesn't want to take concubines?"
"My mother was my father's third concubine, and my eldest uncle has eight wives!"
"My second uncle-in-law has seven, and the Head of the Jiang Family even has thirty wives!"
Jiang Shuwan looked at Chun Tao and asked.
"Chun Tao, what if I look for a few more? Once Husband takes a fancy to them, we can bring them all into the manor together. What do you think?"
Chun Tao was left speechless.
Her Madam really was different from everyone else.
"Others are afraid of their husbands running away, but you're afraid there aren't enough women around yours!"
"Madam, your broad-mindedness is truly extraordinary!"
Jiang Shuwan said seriously.
"It's nothing. Husband said that good things must be shared with everyone to gain even more happiness!"
"Most importantly, once Husband marries Sister Anan, I won't have to look at the ledgers anymore!"
This was Jiang Shuwan's reasoning on the surface, but internally, she was even more excited.
With more sisters, she wouldn't have to face her husband alone in the future.
The mere thought of this made Jiang Shuwan incredibly excited.
She immediately stopped looking at the ledgers.
Taking Chun Tao with her, she headed to the backyard to watch the Alchemy.
Chun Tao was stunned. "Madam, Young Master hasn't married her yet. You still have to look at the ledgers."
"No, he'll marry her sooner or later. I'll let the one who likes looking at them do it later."
On his way back, Feng Ming made a deliberate detour to the Huangfu Family's residence.
He wanted to see how the Huangfu Family was reacting.
Just as he arrived, Feng Da approached him.
"Second Young Master, you've come."
"Mm. What's the Huangfu Family's reaction?"
"Reporting to Second Young Master, ever since our Medicinal Pill prices dropped, cultivators have been flocking to our shops. The Huangfu Family's shops are currently deserted."
Feng Ming nodded. "Very good. A total undercut. Let's see what they do now."
Feng Da looked at him with admiration. "As expected of Young Master. This way, the Huangfu Family is backed into a corner. If they don't lower prices, they have no market; if they do, they'll lose money on every sale."
Feng Ming smiled. "I'm going to make them lose even their undergarments."
"However, the Zhang Family must have received the news as well. Now we wait to see how they respond!"
Feng Da nodded. To observe the Huangfu Family's reaction, Feng Da had been stationed by Feng Ming to keep watch across from their residence.
"The steward has been inside for a while. There should be a result soon."
Just as Feng Da finished speaking, the gates of the Huangfu Family opened, and a beautiful young woman walked out.
Feng Ming hadn't expected the person they sent out to be a girl.
Moreover, she looked to be around his age, which took him by surprise.
"Who is she?"
"Reporting to Young Master, that is the Eldest Young Miss of the Huangfu Family, Huangfu Yunyan."
Feng Ming nodded as Feng Da reported the information he had gathered.
Huangfu Yunyan's strength wasn't high, only at the fifth level of the Qi Refinement Stage.
He hadn't heard of her managing the Huangfu Family's shops before.
So, seeing her come out made Feng Da somewhat surprised.
However, seeing that Huangfu Yunyan was heading towards the Feng Family's shop,
Feng Ming didn't hesitate and followed her with Feng Da.
Along the way, Huangfu Yunyan didn't enter any of the Feng Family's other shops; she headed straight for Linglong Pavilion.
"Second Young Master, looking at her momentum, could she be heading for you?"
Feng Ming nodded. "That's quite possible."
"If she went to the other shops, she'd at most look at the pills. But if she goes to Linglong Pavilion, she can cause real trouble."
"Not to mention anything else, if even one of the formulas in the Alchemists' hands is leaked, it would be a massive loss."
The two followed her all the way and indeed saw Huangfu Yunyan enter Linglong Pavilion.
Inside the shop.
Jiang Shuwan and Chun Tao had also just walked out from the backyard.
This time, the one looking weary of life was Chun Tao.
Jiang Shuwan, on the other hand, was full of enthusiasm, looking as if she had benefited greatly.
"Madam, I now completely believe what you said about liking Alchemy and hating the ledgers."
"Doing these two things, your reactions are completely opposite."
Jiang Shuwan nodded. "Right? I think Alchemy is so interesting. Just by watching, I've gained a lot of insights."
"I've also learned quite a bit of valuable experience."
"It's just a pity that the Alchemists in the backyard can't compare to Husband's Alchemy skills. He'd never refined pills before, yet his first try was a third-grade elixir. That's a true Genius."
The two were chatting happily, so much so that they didn't notice a woman entering through the door.
That woman had no intention of being polite and started causing trouble the moment she entered.
"There must be something wrong with Linglong Pavilion's Medicinal Pills. Otherwise, how would they dare sell them at fifty percent off?"
Jiang Shuwan and Chun Tao exchanged a look and turned simultaneously to face the newcomer.
They walked toward her.
Just as they reached her, the woman slammed a pill box onto the floor.
It nearly hit the tip of Jiang Shuwan's toes.
Jiang Shuwan was instantly enraged, her entire aura turning cold.
This strange woman clearly hadn't come to buy pills; she looked more like she was looking for trouble.
"Miss, if you have something to say, say it. Don't come in and start smashing my things. I'm afraid you won't be able to afford the compensation."
"Who are you?"
Huangfu Yunyan looked at Jiang Shuwan; she was clearly an unfamiliar face she didn't recognize!
Chun Tao had already picked up the pill box from the floor, glaring at her with fury.
"This is our Second Young Master's wife, and the owner of Linglong Pavilion."
"Heh? Don't make it sound so noble and peerless. Aren't you just the concubines daughter from the marriage alliance between the Jiang and Feng families?"
"You must be Jiang Shuwan, right?"
"You failed to marry the husband you were supposed to and ended up married to the crippled younger brother instead."
Huangfu Yunyan spoke while sizing her up with a mocking tone.
Internally, however, she was shocked by Jiang Shuwan's beauty.
As expected of the Jiang Family; even a concubines daughter possessed such looks.
"But in the end, you're just a concubines daughter. Your greatest purpose is to serve as a tool for marriage."
While she thought this, her words were not polite at all.
"Unable to marry the elder brother, you actually married your own brother-in-law. This move is now known by everyone in Liumian Prefecture!"
"What nonsense are you talking? My Young Master's legs have long since healed, and he and Madam married of their own free will."
"As an outsider, you should stop your wagging tongue."
Upon hearing this, Huangfu Yunyan's face darkened, and she raised her hand to slap Chun Tao across the face!
"What kind of thing are you? When I am speaking to your master, do you have any right to speak?"
"Second Madam, you come from the Jiang Family after all. How can you not even have the ability to discipline a servant? No sense of rules at all. In the Huangfu Family, she would have been beaten to death with clubs long ago."
Seeing this, Feng Ming didn't want to hide in the back anymore and was about to step out.
Jiang Shuwan had already stepped in front of Chun Tao first.
She raised her hand and delivered a slap straight to Huangfu Yunyan's face.
"The rules of the Jiang Family are not for an outsider like you to criticize. In my Jiang Family, if there were someone like you who opens their mouth only to spew filth, they would have been beaten to death with clubs long ago."
