296: turtle

Feng Ming's heart stirred as he recalled the strange sensation from before. Ever since his Divine Sense entered the Selflessness Realm, he had a faint feeling that many of the Cultivation Techniques he had previously practiced contained various flaws and were far from perfect.

Take the current Gale Art, for instance; although its speed was extremely fast,

his Divine Sense had already covered a radius of several miles, allowing him to clearly perceive everything ahead. Yet, his body was forced to catch up step by step. The discrepancy between the two made him feel incredibly restless.

This feeling of knowing exactly where the path ahead lay but being bound by the Physical Body caused a surge of intense irritability in Feng Ming's heart.

At the very moment this irritability reached its peak, a sudden change occurred!

Feng Ming felt the airflow around him suddenly stagnate. In the next second, his figure vanished from the spot without any warning, as if he had never been there at all.

Before he could react, a strong sense of weightlessness swept over him. When he focused his eyes again, he was already standing steadily at the edge of his Divine Sense's coverage—a distance that would normally take a minute or two of full-speed flight to reach!

"Shrinking the Earth into Inches!"

Feng Ming's pupils constricted sharply. An indescribable wild joy instantly swept through his entire body, and even his voice trembled slightly.

Could this... could this be the true power of the Gale Art?!

He never imagined that this trip to the Wangyue Spring would not only allow his Way of Divine Sense to enter the long-dreamed-of Selflessness Realm and his strength to break through to the seventh layer of the Nascent Soul Realm, but that he would also, by a stroke of luck, decipher the ultimate Profound Truth of the Gale Art and realize the Heaven-Defying Divine Ability of Shrinking the Earth into Inches!

No wonder Wu Qingyue had mentioned the infinite mysteries and benefits of the Way of Divine Sense that were far beyond what the world could imagine. Experiencing it personally today, he finally knew those words were true!

Having mastered the Divine Ability of Shrinking the Earth into Inches, Feng Ming's traveling speed instantly exploded by several times.

A journey that originally required a day and a half was forcibly compressed to within half a day before this miraculous movement technique!

Feng Ming looked down at the slightly trembling lines on his palm, a sharp, cold light flashing in the depths of his eyes.

Chen Kai, if you dare to harm Jiang Shuwan in the slightest, I will make you and your three hundred subordinates pay in blood!

Pay in blood!

...On a mountain ridge.

Feng Mian and his group sat in a circle, the excitement on everyone's faces impossible to hide.

"I knew Feng Ming would definitely not be trapped inside!" someone whispered, unable to conceal their exhilaration. "Once he arrives, Li Cheng and those people won't have any room left to be arrogant!"

Feng Mian nodded heavily, his voice carrying the slight tremor of a survivor: "After holding out for so long, we can finally breathe a sigh of relief."

He turned to look at Qin Hu and Guan Rong beside him, but their expressions weren't as good. Having fled all the way, they were the weakest and had been most severely injured during the ambush.

Qin Hu's right arm hung limply, and a swollen curve was faintly visible under his sleeve. His bone was broken; if they hadn't retreated quickly, he might not have been able to keep the arm.

"It's good that the great Feng Ming is out." Guan Rong coughed twice, the movement pulling at his wounds and making him grimace. "We aren't afraid anymore; we're just afraid that Li Cheng will hear the news and run away with his people!"

Jiang Shuwan spread out the map in her palm, her fingertip pointing at a red dot on it. "The news of my husband's emergence was kept quiet; only we knew in advance through private messages. Looking at this marker, Li Cheng and the others haven't noticed yet."

She paused, her brow furrowing. "But there are too many eyes watching in the Trial Arena. This news won't be hidden for long."

Feng Mian sighed, his tone full of helplessness. "There's no other way. Fortunately, Shuwan is fine, which can be considered doing right by Feng Ming."

Initially, only a few people knew the news of Feng Ming and Hua Dieer leaving the Wangyue Spring.

But just as Hua Dieer said, there were too many eyes hidden in the trial grounds.

Feng Da was among the second group to learn the news. He had been keeping a constant eye on the movements at the Wangyue Spring. When the small red dot representing Feng Ming suddenly moved and sped towards the mountain ridge, he immediately sent a message back to the Feng Residence.

Following that, Lu An'an, Madam Hua... the news seemed to grow wings, spreading rapidly within the Liangzhou Trial Grounds.

And all of this happened less than an hour after Feng Ming left the Wangyue Spring.

On the slope below the ridge, Zhao Peng stood with his hands behind his back, his gaze coldly sweeping over the resting crowd below.

"Boss, let's go!" a subordinate's voice carried urgent panic. "Feng Ming's speed is incredibly fast. Calculating by this distance, he'll be here in three hours at most!"

"I'm afraid we won't even have three hours to wait." Zhao Peng's lips curled into a cold sneer. "Since he's out of the Wangyue Spring, the Opportunity inside must be in his hands.

Jiang Shuwan cannot be touched. Luckily we didn't get involved, so Feng Ming won't be able to settle this debt with us."

The subordinate nodded repeatedly. "Now we just have to see how Li Cheng responds."

"That's his business and has nothing to do with us." Zhao Peng waved his hand. "Pass down the order to retreat twenty miles. Let's watch the end of this good show."

"Yes!"

At the other camp, the tent was suddenly thrown open, and Li Cheng stumbled out, his face deathly pale. "What did you say? Feng Ming is out?"

"He's more than just out!" A subordinate ran over, practically crawling, his voice trembling. "He must have obtained some miraculous encounter; his speed is terrifying! A journey that was supposed to take a day and a half can now be covered in less than three hours!"

Hearing this, Li Cheng looked towards the camp. The three hundred-plus people who had originally gathered were now in a chaotic mess, with countless people frantically fleeing in all directions.

It was no joke; staying gathered at this time was just waiting to be wiped out in one fell swoop!

"Furthermore, Boss, Zhao Peng retreated twenty minutes ago!" the subordinate's voice grew even more urgent. "He's hiding twenty miles away, waiting to watch our misfortune!"

Li Cheng spat fiercely, his eyes filled with malice. "That coward! He hid in the back when it was time to act, and now he runs faster than anyone!"

He gritted his teeth, his gaze suddenly becoming ruthless. "Wants to see me become a joke? In his dreams!"

"Feng Ming is still some distance away. Pass down the order for everyone to disperse and break out! Once he arrives, let's see who he can chase!"

After speaking, Li Cheng immediately signaled his confidants to pack up, preparing to slip away amidst the chaos.

Meanwhile, in the entire Trial Grounds, whether it was the Cultivators inside or the spectators outside, everyone was staring intently at this confrontation.

Everyone knew that since Feng Ming had emerged, he would definitely not easily forgive those who had hunted his wife.

But given the current distance, by the time he arrived, Li Cheng and his group would likely have vanished without a trace.

No one could guess what kind of scene the conclusion of this pursuit would be.

Time passed minute by minute.

In just ten minutes, Li Cheng's forces had finished packing. The three-hundred-man team had now split into dozens of small streams, scattering in different directions.

Just as Li Cheng flipped onto his horse, preparing to lead his confidants in a desperate flight for their lives, a blinding white light suddenly flared in mid-air!
