117: End of Phase I

"You're okay?"

Xu Xiayang looked at the living Li Changkong, somewhat disbelieving.

"I acquired a rather miraculous Dao item earlier; it was that item that just saved my life."

Li Changkong casually replied to the inquiry.

"Thank goodness. I thought you had truly been burned to death by that fire."

Xu Xiayang also breathed a sigh of relief.

"Oh, right. You happen to be a Shield Warrior, and I have a shield here that I don't need. How about I just give it to you?"

Li Changkong seemed to suddenly recall something, then took out a shield.

He had obtained this shield previously, and it was also considered Gold Rank.

However, its Rank requirement was Level 25, so for him now, it was already useless.

Although Xu Xiayang hadn't helped him much just now, his willingness to rush in had already moved Li Changkong.

He wasn't short on money now, so he decided to use this item to gain some goodwill.

"A Gold Rank shield?"

Looking at the shield Li Changkong handed over, he was somewhat disbelieving for a moment.

Even for him, a Gold Rank shield was considered quite precious.

Moreover, this was one of the higher-tier shields among Gold Rank items.

"No, no, no, I can't accept it. I didn't help you at all just now, how can I accept something from you for free?"

To his surprise, in the next second, Xu Xiayang refused Li Changkong.

"This shield isn't useful to me anyway. I don't plan to develop in the direction of a Shield Warrior."

"Besides, since we're from the same hometown, perhaps you'll be able to look out for me in the future."

Seeing the other party refuse him, Li Changkong changed his persuasion.

Upon hearing these words, Xu Xiayang hesitated slightly before accepting the shield.

Li Changkong, meanwhile, picked up the Dark Gold armor on the ground and checked its attributes.

"Name: Violet Flame Armor (Dark Gold)"

"Rank: 35"

"Attributes: Defense +320, Fire Resistance 20."

"Skill: Violet Flame Bodyguard: Upon activating the skill, the player gains Violet Flame protection, forming a shield that greatly weakens enemy attack power and can cause a certain amount of reflection damage."

The effect of the entire skill was excellent; it not only enhanced his own defense but also had a certain reflection damage effect when activated.

If used in one-on-one combat, it would definitely play a significant role.

In addition, the 100,000 experience points provided almost allowed Li Changkong to directly increase a Rank.

The experience points he needed to increase a Rank now were almost in the millions.

And on the card in his hand, this time, it directly increased by 50,000 points.

When he first saw this point figure, Li Changkong even felt a bit dizzy.

He had fought for so long before, and the points he gained hadn't even reached 10,000.

But now, in such a short period, the points had reached such a terrifying level, which truly surprised him.

However, upon closer thought, this point value was also normal.

After all, if he hadn't had the Substitute Doll just now, he might have already died.

Outside the cave, Li Changkong could also hear some faint sounds.

"Wow, I didn't expect our luck to be so good this time, directly getting so many points."

"An increase of 1,000 points at once, my goodness."

"It seems we really followed the right person. We don't even have to do anything; we can just lie down and get points."

...

The few people talking outside were Li Changkong's teammates.

Li Changkong himself looked down on these teammates somewhat.

When he was in danger just now, they didn't even come in.

"How come I suddenly have 5,000 points here? Did the System make a mistake?"

Xu Xiayang, beside him, said with a shocked expression.

Li Changkong's ability to defeat this monster just now had already greatly shocked him.

According to his Rank, he couldn't clearly see the monster's Rank, but he knew that this boss was a Dark Gold boss.

Once it reached the Dark Gold Rank, there was a huge difference compared to ordinary monsters.

Dark Gold Rank monsters could even be considered a significant watershed.

Their combat styles were very diverse, and their combat experience was even more skilled than that of ordinary humans.

Facing a Dark Gold Rank boss, almost no one would choose to solo it from past to present.

Especially at the same Rank, these monsters' Physiques were far stronger than humans'.

"Let's go."

Li Changkong didn't say much and quickly left.

After exiting the cave, Li Changkong ignored his teammates and walked forward on his own.

The few people who had originally disdained Li Changkong now regarded him as their backbone.

Even if Li Changkong didn't want to bother with them, they still followed closely behind him.

It wasn't until Li Changkong entered the Level 30 monster area that they finally stopped.

Facing Level 30 monsters, they even worried if they could protect themselves.

With a large Rank difference, it was not easily compensated here.

Even ordinary monsters could make them exert all their efforts.

Xu Xiayang was originally going to leave, but he was pulled over by Li Changkong.

With the cooperation of the two, the speed of killing monsters was significantly faster.

For Xu Xiayang, his presence this time was completely like leeching experience.

The role he could play was almost less than one-tenth.

This time, the Hundred Schools Joint Examination in the real battlefield only had one day.

And this was only the first stage of the assessment; the second stage would enter into combat.

At that time, they would select the top sixteen with the highest points for one-on-one duels.

After several rounds of competition, the top scorer of this Newbie Joint Examination would be selected.

One day passed quickly, and a trace of fiery clouds had already appeared in the sky.

Accompanied by a red glow enveloping everyone, they were teleported out of the snowy region.

"The casualty rate this time is also quite high; according to the data, it has reached 10%."

"Anyway, no matter what, if they can be revived, then revive them all."

Thunder King, who had been standing on the high platform, finally spoke at this moment.

Now, the entire square was filled with students sitting on the ground.

After the intense battle just now, most of them were already exhausted.

Among them, there were even some corpses that had been teleported back.

These were some candidates who had accidents during the joint examination, and a considerable number of them were also injured.
