66: The only golden equipment

“Congratulations, you have slain the pseudo Golden Boss, Golden Winged Horse King, gaining 30,000 experience.”

The familiar mechanical voice in his ear invigorated Li Changkong.

Although this Golden Winged Horse King was a pseudo Golden Boss, it was much stronger than an ordinary purple boss.

The experience it provided him alone was quite astonishing.

Immediately after, Li Changkong approached the Golden Winged Horse King and began examining the two pieces of equipment it had dropped.

The first item was a staff, entirely golden, with a Golden Dragon coiled around it, clearly indicating its extraordinary nature.

The moment he saw this staff, Li Changkong’s heart tightened.

“Name: Dark Moon Staff (Gold Rank)”

“Rank: 30”

“Attribute: Spirit +200.”

“Equipment Skill: Dark Moon Fire Rain (Summons a rain of fire within a certain range, dealing large-scale damage to enemies.)”

(Hint: This equipment is one of the unique Dark Moon series equipment. Collect all Dark Moon series equipment to gain powerful bonuses.)

Looking at the information of the staff in his hand, Li Changkong gasped.

He hadn't expected his guess to be correct; this equipment was indeed Gold Rank.

However, its attributes, among Gold Rank items, shouldn't be considered too strong.

But the most powerful point was that this was one of a unique series of equipment.

Generally speaking, series equipment was extremely rare and incredibly precious.

As a staff, the Dark Moon Staff was naturally the most valuable main equipment among unique series equipment.

Moreover, based on this unique equipment, one could find the drop locations of other equipment, which was the most valuable aspect.

After putting away the Dark Moon Staff, Li Changkong looked at the second piece of equipment.

The second item was also part of the Dark Moon series: the Dark Moon Robe.

“Name: Dark Moon Robe (Gold Rank)”

“Rank: 30”

“Attribute: Spirit +150, Physique +50.”

“Equipment Skill: Dark Moon Stealth (After activating Dark Moon Fire Rain, the user can remain invisible for an extended period within the range of the Dark Moon Fire Rain.)”

This robe could be worn over armor and did not affect one's own armor.

Furthermore, its equipment skill perfectly complemented the Dark Moon Staff.

The acquisition of these two pieces of equipment had already filled Li Changkong with great joy.

It seemed his thoughts were correct: the greater the danger, the greater the opportunity.

In addition, there was a die on the ground.

“Gold Skill Die.”

The usage of this die was very simple: using it would randomly grant a skill.

As for the skill's Rank and attributes, that depended on luck.

After stuffing all these items into his backpack, Li Changkong turned his head to look at the small forest in the distance.

“Such powerful strength. Are you really a newcomer?”

From the forest, the blonde beauty gracefully walked out and asked with some confusion.

“It's alright, I don't feel that strong.”

Li Changkong merely smiled faintly and replied.

Li Changkong had already noticed them in the distance before, but he hadn't paid too much attention.

Seeing that the other party had no ill intentions, Li Changkong naturally wasn't willing to provoke them.

Now that the battle was over, Li Changkong wanted to ask them what they were doing.

“Your Excellency appears to be our schoolmate. May I ask if Your Excellency has joined any alliance?”

The blonde woman didn't say much more and immediately spoke up.

“I don't want to join any alliance, it's meaningless.”

Upon hearing her question, Li Changkong understood her intention and directly refused.

“Why do you look so familiar? Aren't you the kid who won first place in the Newcomer Grand Competition?”

Just then, the mage suddenly reacted and asked.

“Yes.”

Li Changkong nodded.

The blonde woman had also heard that the first place in this Newcomer Grand Competition was a kid from the Fire Institute.

At first, she was a bit skeptical, as someone so powerful was unlikely to enter the Fire Institute.

However, looking at him now, the rumor should indeed be true.

“Since Your Excellency does not wish to join an alliance, then we can still be friends.” The blonde woman took a step forward and continued, “My name is Zhou Yuanqing, and I am an Elder of the Tiandao Alliance.”

“Tiandao Alliance?”

Hearing this name, Li Changkong found it somewhat familiar.

The Tiandao Alliance seemed quite famous within the school, and he had also seen it on the forums before.

However, after just a glance, Li Changkong had casually skipped over it.

“No problem.”

Li Changkong seemed to be sparing with his words and didn't want to say too much to them.

After exchanging a friend request with the blonde woman, he departed first.

“Congratulations, you have achieved the first clear of Dire Wolf Valley, receiving a reward of Rank +3.”

The mechanical voice in his ear made Li Changkong slightly stunned.

He truly hadn't expected the Rank +3 reward.

However, upon closer thought, the reason for such a high bonus was also because he had cleared it solo.

Solo clear, plus first clear, plus being below Rank 30.

It was under the combined effect of these three buffs that he received the Rank +3 reward.

Li Changkong was originally already Rank twenty-seven, and now, after gaining these three Ranks, he directly climbed to Rank thirty.

All the equipment that could only be equipped at Rank thirty could now be equipped.

By this calculation, his Rank had once again advanced by a significant level.

After being excited for a while, Li Changkong remembered that he still had some things to attend to.

He quickly went through the teleportation array and arrived inside the Quest Hall.

The Quest Hall was packed with people.

Many people came directly to the Quest Hall to accept quests, with newcomers naturally making up the majority.

Li Changkong passed through the crowd and went straight to the quest submission counter.

“Submitting a quest.”

Li Changkong said in a low voice.

“What quest?”

The staff member glanced at Li Changkong, noticed he was wearing a newcomer's attire, and didn't pay much attention, asking lazily.

“The quest to collect wild horse manes in Wild Horse Stream.”

Li Changkong slowly spoke.

“What?” The staff member heard this and suddenly looked up, “That's a three-star quest! Can a newcomer complete that?”

“Here are a hundred manes.”

Li Changkong shook the Storage Ring in his hand.

“Put all the quest items into this Storage Pouch.”

The staff member took out a Storage Pouch, speaking with some disbelief.

The transfer was quickly completed, and only when the staff member saw the pouch full of manes did he believe Li Changkong's words.

However, he was exceptionally curious, not expecting this kid in front of him to actually have some skill.

“One thousand contribution points have been transferred to your card.”

After counting was complete, the staff member finally said.

“Oh, and I also need to submit the second quest.”

Li Changkong spoke again.

“What?”

“Slaying the Golden Winged Horse King.”

Li Changkong slowly spoke.

“What? You completed the Golden Winged Horse King quest?”

The staff member was somewhat incredulous.

His voice was not quiet, naturally attracting the attention of some older students nearby.
