47: An unexpected event

Under the dim light, only tiny symbols were written on the yellowed paper.

At first glance, this kind of writing had an ancient and profound feel to it.

"What is this?"

Li Changkong was slightly stunned, but he couldn't see any description of this item.

However, to his surprise, this yellow paper was actually a golden item.

Up until now, Li Changkong had only ever gotten purple equipment; this was the first time he had encountered a golden item.

"It should be some kind of special item, right?"

Zhu Sha leaned over and said.

"Then how do I activate this thing?"

Li Changkong was even more confused.

"I don't know about that. It probably only works under some special circumstances."

"But since it's a golden piece of equipment, it must be very precious."

Zhu Sha shook her head.

"Sure enough, the Green Demon Ring."

Just then, Lin Ling'er discovered a jade green ring beneath the yellowed paper.

Their purpose in coming to this dungeon was precisely for this ring.

For a Priest, this blue-quality Green Demon Ring surpassed many purple-quality pieces of equipment.

Its greatest effect was its ability to significantly increase a Priest's healing output.

In team battles, this was incredibly helpful.

"Then how should the ownership of this special item be distributed?"

Li Changkong nodded, then looked at the three of them.

"Since you contributed the most to defeating the boss, you should take this special item. We'll take the Green Demon Ring."

Zhu Sha stepped forward and gave the decision to Li Changkong.

If it hadn't been for Li Changkong in the previous battle, the three of them would have likely perished.

Therefore, her words were also approved by the other two women.

Because it was the first kill of the boss, the boss experience was doubled, and this boss directly provided nearly 20,000 experience points.

For them, this reward was already sufficient.

Moreover, they were also the first to clear the dungeon, so they would definitely receive the first clear reward.

After searching for a while and still finding no other rewards, the four of them left dejectedly.

Because the underground palace belonged to special terrain, to use a Recall Scroll, they had to exit the underground palace first.

As soon as the three of them emerged from the underground palace, a System notification also sounded in their ears.

"Congratulations to a certain professional team for the first clear of the Abyssal Despair! Completion time: 1 hour, 50 minutes, 27 seconds!"

After the notification, the scattered individuals also received the first clear reward.

This first clear reward was also Rank +1, and Li Changkong successfully reached Rank 26.

When his Rank reached 30, he would be able to trigger a class advancement quest.

Li Changkong still didn't know what kind of class advancement quest this unique class would have.

As for the Advancedlottery opportunity, Li Changkong drew a staff.

However, Li Changkong wasn't lacking in staves, so he planned to sell this staff for money.

A blue-grade Rank 30 staff was worth at least a million chinese yuan, so it was certainly very valuable.

A white light flashed, and the three of them returned to the dungeon entrance.

"Thank you. If it weren't for you this time, this dungeon would have been troublesome."

After exiting the dungeon, the three of them still thanked Li Changkong.

"It's nothing. I also gained something this time. If it weren't for you guys, I wouldn't have been able to clear this dungeon at all."

Li Changkong waved his hand and smiled.

"Oh, right, you're about to start school, aren't you? Which university are you planning to go to?"

Xu Chuchu looked at Li Changkong and asked curiously.

"Sister Xu, you seem to be at Jinghua University, right? I'm right next door to you."

Li Changkong scratched his head and smiled.

Hearing this, Xu Chuchu was slightly stunned.

Then, a look of disbelief appeared in her eyes: "You mean, Shenhua University?"

"It should be fine. My score has already met the standards for Shenhua University."

Li Changkong nodded.

Regardless, Shenhua University was the most longed-for university for countless students.

As long as one entered this university, they would undoubtedly become the most outstanding talents in the entire Dragon Country, and even the entire world, in the future.

"However, I hope everyone will not leak this secret."

Li Changkong then smiled.

This matter was troublesome, and if it were leaked, it would certainly cause some ripples.

Li Changkong himself disliked trouble, which was why he made this request.

"Don't worry, we definitely won't."

The three of them nodded readily upon hearing this.

However, they felt even more admiration for Li Changkong in their hearts.

Everyone who could enter Shenhua University was a Genius among Geniuses.

If they could befriend Li Changkong now, it would certainly be beneficial in the future.

After a brief conversation, Li Changkong also left first.

In the following period, Li Changkong spent almost every day on increasing his Rank.

However, a piece of news arrived that left Li Changkong somewhat taken aback.

Inside the principal's office at Blue Sea No. 1 High School.

"Longhua University rejected your application."

Upon hearing Wang Yan's words, Li Changkong's expression immediately became unsettled.

"My assessment Rank has already reached SSS-Rank. Shouldn't entering Longhua University only require SS-Rank?"

Li Changkong asked in confusion.

"According to the regulations, you should indeed be able to enter, but according to the information I received, you seem to have been stuck in the final review."

Wang Yan glanced at Li Changkong and continued.

"What do you mean?"

Li Changkong frowned.

"It means that when their vice dean reviewed it, he believed that your profession might very well be a life profession, and that this assessment might have been due to cheating."

Wang Yan sighed and continued.

After Li Changkong achieved the excellent SSS-Rank score, the most excited person besides himself was probably Wang Yan.

No matter what, Li Changkong was from their school.

Being able to enter Longhua University would certainly make their school famous, but who knew such an unexpected situation would occur.

"If they don't believe it, they can re-assess me. After all, I am 100% confident in myself."

Li Changkong continued to ask.

No matter what, Shenhua University was a university he had longed for for a long time, so he naturally wanted to continue to strive for it.

"I naturally understand this, but Shenhua University, due to its special nature, does not have a re-assessment mechanism."

"I called you here this time because I want you to fill out applications for other schools."

Wang Yan lowered his head, his face full of guilt.

After a brief period of calm, Li Changkong quickly recovered.

As the saying goes, if one place doesn't want you, another will.

Since Shenhua University didn't accept him, other universities would still accept him.
