492: Give it away for free?

“You’re not dead!?”

Hearing Yekaterina’s words, light returned to everyone’s eyes.

Suneika excitedly asked, “Sister, where are you? Are you still in the Human World?”

Yekaterina nodded and said, “Yes, I am still in the Human World, and everything is fine.”

Learning that The Eldest Princess was safe and sound, the three Elders all let out a long sigh of relief.

However, Suneika’s nerves remained taut.

At this moment, Yekaterina did not look like “everything is fine.”

In fact, she looked somewhat disheveled.

Her hair was loose, her face was slightly flushed, and the exquisite royal robe she wore had some wrinkles from being pulled.

Most Forest Elves were very particular about their appearance, and Yekaterina even had a slight obsession with cleanliness.

Given her personality, she would never allow herself to appear before outsiders in such a state.

Moreover, her breathing was somewhat erratic when she spoke, which was a sign of panic.

Thinking of these things, Suneika immediately realized that her sister’s situation was not “everything is fine.”

“Could it be… that she’s being coerced?”

“Could it be related to the human warriors outside the city?”

Thinking of these, Suneika immediately became vigilant.

She first asked, “Sister, Platinum City was just attacked by orcs, and just before the city fell, a human legion arrived and repelled the orcs. Are they the reinforcements you sent from the Human World?”

“Yes.”

Yekaterina said, while tidying her disheveled hair, “They were sent by the Dominator to support the Elf World, and I contacted you precisely to tell you about this.”

“The Dominator?”

Suneika was stunned.

She remembered that the warrior who called himself an Imperial Guard had mentioned those two words.

“Who is the Dominator?” Suneika asked.

When the Dominator was mentioned, Yekaterina in the mirror looked to one side, seemingly seeking someone’s approval.

However, the person outside the mirror’s view did not wish to appear.

Yekaterina looked back at Suneika and said, “The Dominator is the most powerful being in the Human World, and also the Dominator of the Human World.”

“The Dominator of the Human World…”

Suneika was somewhat surprised.

Her sister had described the structure of the Human World in her previous letters.

It was an extremely fragmented world, with hundreds of large and small countries, constantly embroiled in self-consuming civil wars.

This was very consistent with human characteristics; they were accustomed to deceit and enjoyed forming factions.

Under the conflict of interests among small groups, it was difficult for them to unite.

This was why the Elves were confident about migrating to the Human World.

Most Elves believed that fragmented humans could not defeat united Elves.

But… only a few months had passed.

How could a Dominator have appeared among humans?

Suneika was astonished.

Even the Elf World had not seen a so-called Dominator.

Due to differences in beliefs and culture, the four major Elven races were independent and wary of each other.

Unless one race possessed the ability to sweep through other races and destroy their beliefs, it would be impossible for a so-called Dominator to emerge.

And as far as Suneika knew, there were eight recognized gods in the Human World alone, in addition to countless other deity worships.

To unite fragmented humans was an impossible task.

But now was not the time to think about this.

Suneika looked at her sister in the mirror, trying hard to find something unusual in her expression.

She could almost certainly conclude that Yekaterina’s identity had been exposed.

Combined with her flustered and disheveled state, she was most likely being coerced.

Considering this, the so-called “reinforcements” might also be a human trap.

Thinking of these, Suneika gave a look to the three Elders.

The three Elders quickly understood and all fell silent.

They had also noticed Yekaterina’s abnormality and maintained a basic vigilance towards humans.

“Sister, why would humans help us?”

Suneika asked Yekaterina, while carefully observing the changes in her expression.

In her opinion, Yekaterina could not possibly betray the Elves.

If humans had some conspiracy, she would surely convey information through her eyes.

“This is because…”

At this moment, Yekaterina was somewhat hesitant.

Suneika tried to observe her eyes, hoping to find some hidden message.

However, Yekaterina’s gaze was somewhat flickering, as if she was intentionally avoiding eye contact with Suneika.

Suneika was a bit bewildered.

She seemed to see a hint of shyness in her sister’s eyes?

That coy expression, it was as if… she was talking about her beloved???

Before Suneika could process her absurd guess, she heard Yekaterina say, “Because, I am now… the Dominator’s wife.”

“Ah???”

“What did you say?”

Suneika was stunned, feeling that she must have misheard.

But the three Elf Elders beside her also craned their necks, their expressions full of surprise.

She hadn’t misheard.

Yekaterina had indeed said “wife.”

“Sister, you…”

Suneika didn’t know what to say.

Elves were still relatively conservative about marriage.

Before confirming a formal spouse, grand ceremonies would be held to forge a “White-Haired Alliance.”

Only the decadent Dark Elves treated marriage so casually.

If her sister didn’t give a reasonable explanation, her reputation in the Elf World would lean towards that of the Dark Elves.

Moreover, she had married into the Human World!

The royal family of the Elf World had become the wife of the Dominator of the Human World?

What was the difference between this and marrying the Goblin King?

Not to mention Yekaterina’s reputation being ruined,

the reputation of the Elven royal family would also be affected.

At this moment, the three Elders’ gazes towards Yekaterina had changed.

Suneika also felt her scalp tingle and hastily asked, “What exactly did you experience in the Human World? Why would you make such a choice?”

Yekaterina seemed to know everyone’s inner thoughts and said seriously, “Because this is the only choice for the Elf World to continue.”

“The only choice…”

Suneika shook her head slightly; she understood the weight of those four words and knew that Elf Civilization was in peril.

But she didn’t understand why humans would be the factor affecting the Elves’ survival.

And at this moment, Yekaterina said word by word, “The Goddess of Nature has submitted to the Dominator, and the High Elves and Night Elves have all become his subjects.”

Hearing this, everyone present was struck as if by lightning.

The Goddess of Nature was the recognized main god of the Elf World; she would actually submit to the Dominator of the Human World?

Could it be that this Dominator was a deity above the recognized gods?

No wonder the Human World was unified.

If he didn’t possess absolute power, how could he reconcile different beliefs?

Thus, the so-called Dominator must not be human.

Humans, as beings with one-star potential, could not reach this height.

Thinking of this, Suneika let out a long breath and deliberately asked, “So, is Lord Dominator a deity?”

She asked this mainly to let the three Elders hear the answer.

If her sister’s husband was a deity, even if she had given herself away, there would be nothing to say.

However, Yekaterina shook her head and said, “The Dominator is a human who transcends deities. He is leading humanity towards the Myriad Worlds, and our Elf World is his first stop.”
