664: Flying acting

“Hey! What are you doing!!!”

A guard in armor stormed into the room with a menacing Aura.

This was a script that had been rehearsed long ago.

The so-called “guards” were also the kingdom’s protectors.

When Princess Maine and the Hero entered the room, these guards stood by the doorway.

They were just waiting for Princess Maine to scream “Help!” and then they would rush into the room, just like now, and without a word, pin down the Hero.

After that, it was Princess Maine’s turn to act.

The Princess would, according to the script, accuse the Hero of assaulting her, and these “guards” would become witnesses.

But upon rushing in, the three guards at the front were stunned.

The room was filled with the smell of alcohol and urine, and Princess Maine, covered in filth, was twitching uncontrollably in the Hero’s arms.

This… Princess, your acting has improved!

You’re too immersed in the role, aren’t you???

Eyes rolled back, fingers twisted, drool all over the floor.

This state… tsk tsk!

Just as the guards were silently marveling, the Hero shouted at them: “Guards? You’ve come at just the right time! Princess Maine has been attacked!”

The guards were all a bit confused.

At this moment, they were a bit out of sync with the Princess’s performance.

By rights, the Princess should have screamed for help first, and then they would have apprehended the person.

But the Princess was too deeply immersed in her role, causing a slight deviation from the script.

What to do next, the guards truly didn’t know.

Thinking of this, the leading guard looked at the Princess, hoping to find a signal for the next action in her eyes.

However, how could there be any look in the Princess’s eyes?

Her pupils were almost unfocused, and from her throat, only “Uh… uh…” guttural sounds could be heard.

Not good!

The Princess doesn’t look like she’s acting!

She’s really flown high!!!

“What did you do to the Princess!!!”

The guard captain roared angrily at the Hero.

There was no one else in this room.

Who else could have made the Princess like this!

The guard captain didn’t understand what the Hero had done to the Princess.

But he knew that this operation had gone terribly wrong!

The Princess did intend to falsely accuse the Hero, that’s right,

But she didn’t intend to sacrifice herself!

But judging by the current situation… Mizutani Ritta!

Are you a Hero or a Devil King?!

How could you torment someone like this!

Thinking of this, the guard captain bristled.

With Princess Maine in this state, he probably wouldn’t fare well.

Under the influence of fear and anger, the guard captain instantly got into character!

He no longer cared what the rest of the script was; he just rushed forward, grabbed Mizutani Ritta, and roared: “You demon! What did you do! What exactly did you do to the Princess!?”

“Did what?”

Mizutani Ritta was stunned; he had just woken up!

He frantically shook his head and said: “I didn’t do anything! She was like this when I woke up!”

“You’re lying!”

The guard captain headbutted Mizutani Ritta’s nose bridge.

A full-force blow from a Level 50 guard directly caused Mizutani Ritta’s nose bridge to collapse, blood spattering, and he crashed into the mirror in the room, his body then pierced by scattered glass shards, before falling to the ground.

But he was, after all, a Hero, with high stats and the blessing of the Radiant Goddess.

Under multiple injuries, he surprisingly didn’t lose consciousness and even had the strength to prop himself up, shakily saying: “You… you… made… a mistake… I didn’t…”

“Still stubborn!!!”

The guard captain had also entered the zone.

He rushed forward, intending to stomp the Hero to death!

Seeing the Princess in such a disgraceful state, with her dark personality, none of the guards present would survive!

The so-called Hero had already killed everyone!

Just as the guard captain was about to deliver a fatal blow to the Hero, he heard Princess Maine shout: “Don’t kill him!”

The guard captain’s movement paused, and he quickly halted his force.

And Mizutani Ritta, seeing the Princess wake up, also grasped at a straw, difficultly saying to her: “Maine… you’re awake… quickly tell them… it wasn’t me…”

Princess Maine’s body was still twitching, but her unfocused gaze had begun to sharpen.

She looked at Mizutani Ritta, her eyes full of hatred and coldness, and though her breath was weak, she still gritted her teeth and said: “He was just about to assault me… take… take him away… I want to judge him!”

“What!?”

Mizutani Ritta, kneeling on the ground, was struck as if by lightning!

He looked at Maine in disbelief, refusing to believe what he had heard.

His mouth twitched, and he forced a smile as he asked Maine: “Are you… playing a prank? Aren’t we… companions?”

But Maine’s response to him was only a cold and disgusted look.

“Take him away!”

The guard captain picked up Mizutani Ritta like a dead dog and said to the other guards: “Escort him back to the 30th world and hand him over to the King for judgment!”

“Yes!”

Two guards responded, disregarding the glass shards still embedded in Mizutani Ritta, and roughly hoisted him up.

“No! It wasn’t me!”

Mizutani Ritta didn’t understand why Maine was doing this to him.

During the day, weren’t they still fighting monsters together?

All of Princess Maine’s gentleness and encouragement were vivid in his memory.

Why?

Why did it turn out like this?

There must be some misunderstanding between us, right?

Mizutani Ritta was, after all, a high school student and couldn’t understand the scheme behind it.

As he was being escorted away by the guards, he was still shouting Maine’s name.

But Princess Maine watched all of this indifferently, without saying a word.

After the noisy Hero was taken away,

The guard captain cautiously asked Maine: “Princess, are you alright?”

Maine’s body suddenly trembled, as if remembering some bad memory, then she glared fiercely at the guard captain.

That vicious look directly scared the guard captain out of his wits.

Seeing the Princess assaulted to that extent, his own life was probably forfeit.

“I’m sorry, I can’t go back and marry you.”

Just as the guard captain was thinking of his girlfriend back home, he heard the Princess say: “I’m fine, all of that just now was acting.”

The guard captain suddenly froze.

Huh?

Acting?

You overdid it, didn’t you?

You even peed!

Don’t you have any idol burden?

The guard captain was suspicious, but he had no choice but to believe her.

Princess Maine saying this must be to preserve her reputation.

If he doubted her, his fate might be even worse than that Hero’s!

Thinking of this, the guard captain immediately knelt down on one knee and praised: “Princess, your acting is comparable to the God of Folly!”

Seeing this, the other guards also burst with a desire to survive, all kneeling down and offering their praises.

There was no other way; if this wasn’t acting, everyone would die!

Looking at the kneeling guards,

Maine also secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Acting?

Hehe?

What kind of acting could make her fly so high?

But if she didn’t say it was acting, what else could she say?

She couldn’t possibly reveal Qin Yang’s matter, could she?

He was even more terrifying than the Dark Prince!

Thinking of this, Maine shivered.

She turned to look at the broken mirror in the room, wanting to see how disheveled she looked now.

However, in a daze, in the distorted mirror surface, she saw Qin Yang’s shadow.

Qin Yang was looking at her, giving her an appreciative gaze.

Maine suddenly froze, gasping in a cold breath, feeling a chill from head to toe.

She thought to herself: “Good thing I didn’t say anything about him; he’s watching all of this…”
