515: Nine War Gods, Marfa

“Human Emperor.”

“The Emperor of humans?”

Stormrage murmured the title “Human Emperor.”

He felt it sounded less impressive than “Divine Emperor.”

After all, the words “human” and “divine” sounded like they were on different dimensions.

“So, is he human or a god?”

Stormrage’s eyes filled with deep confusion.

Previously, his understanding of “Divine Emperor” was that he should be a human main god.

Upon learning that Salaman had pledged allegiance to the Divine Emperor, Stormrage immediately realized his opportunity had come.

A main god of the Elves pledging allegiance to a main god of humans was absolutely an inversion of the natural order.

After all, the life rank of Elves was higher than that of humans.

Moreover, Salaman’s act of submission would cause her Inner Divinity to crack, thereby weakening her Divine Authority and losing control over the Elf World.

This way, he would not only become the king of the Elf World but also potentially become the main god of the Elf World.

To become the Dominator of a plane.

This had been Stormrage’s biggest goal since his Transcendent Tier.

That’s right, he was a Transcendent Tier Professional.

And the only Transcendent Tier Professional in the Elf World.

However.

Even having reached this height,

He was still no match for the Dark Matron.

No choice.

Elves had 3-star potential.

While Stormrage only had 1-star potential.

That’s right.

This leader of the Night Elves was not an Elf.

Instead, he was Marfa, a legendary Professional from the Human World and one of the Nine War Gods.

As a War God chosen by the Goddess of Nature, he had obtained the qualification to advance to Transcendent Tier.

After Transcendent Tier, he entered the Annihilation Sea to explore.

Unexpectedly, he encountered a strong space-time turbulence and was trapped in a chaotic space-time.

And after breaking free from this turbulence, he actually arrived in the Elf World governed by Salaman.

Before he could get excited, he was horrified to discover... his timeline had advanced by 1000 years!

In other words.

The space-time he was in was a thousand years earlier than his own Transcendent Tier!

At this time, the Human World had not yet entered the era of job changes.

Salaman, the main god of the Elf World, also did not yet know him, her devotee.

What was worse was... humans were considered monsters in the Elf World.

Marfa’s Transmigration made him directly the top Boss in the Elf World, the kind that could drop excellent equipment and experience points.

Fortunately, at this time, there were not many Emperor Tier powerhouses in the Elf World.

Even with 3-star potential, they could not threaten Marfa in terms of strength.

But the problem was... the Goddess of Nature at this time had an extreme aversion to humans.

If this god knew of his existence, he would surely suffer Divine Punishment.

Marfa didn't know if he had room for explanation, but he didn't dare to gamble.

So, he transformed into a Night Elf, mixing in with the Elf World.

He was just waiting for 1000 years later, for the Goddess of Nature to recognize him, her “former” devotee.

Over a thousand years, Marfa gradually revealed his strength, becoming the leader of the Night Elves, the Great Druid.

During this process, Salaman was completely unaware.

This made Marfa realize a problem.

So-called gods were not omnipotent.

Knowing this, Marfa’s faith in gods was shaken quite a bit.

And what truly made him think of abandoning his faith,

It was Salaman’s act of stripping her Inner Divinity.

She suppressed the uncontrolled wildness within the Nature Divine Authority.

This greatly reduced Marfa’s professional power, making his combat strength less than half of what it once was.

It was this reason that made Marfa develop an aversion to the Goddess of Nature.

He believed that Salaman’s weakness would prevent him from improving.

And after coming into contact with the profound “Five Elements,”

Marfa finally decided to abandon his faith in the Goddess of Nature.

He even intended to find an opportunity to replace this god.

Now the opportunity had come.

Salaman, the main god of the Elves, had actually pledged allegiance to humans.

He wondered what the other righteous gods would think after learning this.

Presumably, they would all expel her from “godhood,” right?

In short, Salaman was no longer qualified to be the main god of the Elf World.

Marfa, who controlled the Five Elements, also had no need to take her seriously.

So, he chose this moment to confront the High Elves, whom the Goddess favored.

He planned to use the chaotic situation in the Elf World to lead the Night Elves to break free from the control of Nature Divine Authority and pledge allegiance to the God of Elements.

However... at this moment, a Divine Emperor suddenly appeared!

After listening to Arnodan’s explanation, Marfa was somewhat afraid.

He had originally thought that the Divine Emperor, like the Goddess of Nature and the Goddess of Elements, was a god who wielded a Divine Authority.

As long as they were gods, they would be constrained by Law.

They might manifest before people and unleash Divine Punishment.

But their control over the mortal world was extremely limited.

Marfa had originally thought that after gaining the protection of the Goddess of Elements, he would be fully capable of contending with the other party.

Who knew, this Divine Emperor was also an Outer God!?

How powerful Outer Gods were could be seen from the Orcs.

A race with 2-star potential was able to beat the Elves back repeatedly, to the brink of extinction.

This absolutely meant that those Outer Gods had granted the Orcs extremely powerful strength from behind the scenes.

And with the War having lasted so long, the so-called main god of the Elves had no way to deal with the other party.

This was enough to show that she was no match for the Outer Gods at all.

“No wonder Salaman pledged allegiance to the Divine Emperor.”

“It turns out she, like the Orcs, is clinging to a powerful figure.”

“It seems the War in the Elf World is fundamentally a War between Outer Gods.”

“The Orcs and Elves are merely proxies in the War.”

“If that’s the case, there’s no such thing as betrayal or not, I’m just taking a side.”

Malfurion Stormrage said in his heart.

He found ample reasons for his ambition and betrayal.

Just then, the water in the Well of the Moon suddenly churned.

At the same time, Arnodan, who was nearby, growled, “Be careful! There’s an enemy...”

Before he could finish his sentence, a phantom quickly flashed past him.

A cold gleam flashed, and blood spurted.

Arnodan’s hunched body was actually cut into two!

“He just... died!?”

Marfa was startled, and before he could look around, the powerful perception brought by his profession made him sense a threat from beneath his feet!

He looked down.

He saw that his shadow beneath his feet was violently twisting.

“Is it a Black Demon!?”

In the Elf World, Professionals who could hide in shadows only appeared among the Dark Elves.

Marfa immediately tapped his toes, and with the Five Elements Power, he condensed a whirlwind, sending himself into mid-air.

Almost simultaneously, a figure leaped out from the shadows, wielding a scimitar and slashing at Marfa.

The blade was sharp and dense; even though Marfa quickly pulled away and used a wind shield, he still felt a stinging pain in his chest.

He had been cut!

Marfa was greatly alarmed.

He was a Transcendent Tier Professional; even with a 5-fold difference in basic attributes, he could fight the Dark Grandmother to a draw.

Logically, no one in this world could harm him.

Yet, the assassin in front of him had broken through his defense with just one surprise attack.

It was clear.

The opponent’s strength had also reached the Transcendent Tier!
