Chapter 303 The Image in the Mirror

(PS: This chapter is very short, but contains certain horror elements. Those who are timid should proceed with caution or skip directly to the next chapter. Don't worry, there are prompt words so the story won't be broken.)

"I... my head is small... small as a date..."

Flyer's voice was squeezed out from his throat, barely audible, but he was struggling desperately.

"My... neck is thin, thin... like grass!"

"You can't strangle me, you can't strangle me..."

The knot didn't budge; the rope even tightened another turn.

His face turned from red to purple, blue veins bulged on his neck, his tongue was forced out, and his eyes rolled up, leaving only the whites.

"I'm shrinking my bones... shrinking... shrinking... dead, dead..."

For some reason, Flyer's neck didn't thin, and his head didn't shrink.

He could feel that strange energy of change, but it had no effect; if one had to use an analogy... it was like an engine idling in neutral.

Chen Yu shook his head; he had thought this guy could break free.

But as he just walked over...

His peripheral vision caught a glimpse of something to the side.

There was a bronze mirror embedded in the vanity. It was palm-sized, oval-shaped, with carved entwined lotus patterns on the frame. The bronze color was dark, and the weirdest thing was—

The dressing room, which was originally empty, had over a dozen figures floating inside the bronze mirror.

They were all wearing opera costumes—red, green, pink.

Their feet were suspended one meter off the ground, drifting from left to right, and from right to left. Each person clutched a rope in their hand, and one of those ropes was tightly binding Flyer.

Seemingly having sensed Chen Yu's gaze, the figure at the very front in the mirror suddenly stopped, turned around, and faced Chen Yu.

Her facial features were pale and somewhat blurry, but she was wearing opera makeup: a red dot on the brow, rouge at the corners of the eyes, and two red lines at the corners of the mouth.

It looked like it had been painted onto a paper effigy.

The clearest parts were the two pitch-black eye sockets, and a long tongue hanging down from the corner of the mouth.

The first second Chen Yu saw the mirror surface, his hair stood on end.

"What the f*ck..."

In an instant, he thought of how, not long ago, Flyer had asked him: 'Didn't you just pull on me?'

Now that he thought about it, what if it had been the feet of those "people" that had touched his shoulder???

This guess made Chen Yu's blood run cold.

However, sounds from behind pulled him out of his thoughts.

He turned his head back; Flyer was almost strangled to death.

"Ugh... ugh... I... am... about to... die..."

Flyer's voice was intermittent.

Chen Yu rushed over, leaped up in an instant, grabbed the rope on Flyer's neck, and exerted force suddenly!!!

"Rip!"

The rope snapped instantly!

Flyer also collapsed to the ground, clutching his neck, coughing violently, and gasping for air!

"Cough, cough, cough!"

"Dead... dead... this time I'm really going to die... cough, cough!"

He lay flat on his back, a purple ligature mark around his neck. He rolled on the ground in pain, hissing and gasping for cold air.

Chen Yu squatted down and looked at him: "Aren't you still alive?"

Flyer took a few seconds to catch his breath before exhaling a long sigh: "You scared me to death... Brother Chen Yu... Do you have anything else? If not, can you let me leave... It's too scary... I can't take it anymore!"

Chen Yu nodded: "Get up, you can go."

Flyer was instantly overjoyed and nodded repeatedly: "Okay, okay, Brother Chen Yu..."

He gritted his teeth, rolled over, propped himself up from the ground, and staggered toward the door.

But he stopped after walking two steps, because he couldn't help himself, and he suddenly fixed his eyes on the image inside the bronze mirror...

A group of figures in opera costumes, suspended in mid-air, feet off the ground, the ropes around their necks pulled taut.

"Holy sh*t!"

"Holy sh*t!"

"Brother Chen Yu! Holy sh*t! Ahhhhhhh!"

Flyer's legs went weak, and he collapsed onto the ground!

His back hit the doorframe with a dull thud!

"I... I'm not afraid... I have big guts..."

"I have courage, I have a strong aura, I'm burning all over... right, right..."

Flyer's voice got louder and faster as he chanted, like he was hypnotizing himself, but his body didn't cooperate. His legs were still shaking, his hands were still shaking, and his teeth were chattering.

Still, any normal person would definitely be scared to pee themselves seeing this scene.

Chen Yu saw that no liquid was flowing from under his butt, so he could be considered brave.

"Shh."

Chen Yu walked over and made a gesture.

Flyer's wailing got stuck in his throat, and he covered his mouth hard with his hand.
