94: Chapter 94 The Nascent Soul's Visit

Yao Chenzi took a deep breath and endured it.

He took a few more items out from his sleeve—a piece of Ore of decent quality, a Medicinal Pill of excellent grade, and a Magical Artifact with faint Spiritual Qi.

Yun Ming scanned them one by one and shook his head.

He had no use for the Ore, he was not lacking in Medicinal Pills, and he had better Magical Artifacts.

Yao Chenzi took out a few more things, but Yun Ming still shook his head.

"What exactly do you want?" Yao Chenzi asked, somewhat helplessly.

Yun Ming thought for a moment and said, "How about this: from now on, the price of the Medicinal Pills I sell to the Sect will be raised by thirty percent."

"Thirty percent?" Yao Chenzi gasped. "Why don't you just go rob someone?"

"Then twenty percent?"

"At most ten percent." Yao Chenzi gritted his teeth. "Don't even talk about anything more."

Yun Ming thought about it and nodded. "Deal."

Yao Chenzi looked at him and suddenly smiled. "You kid, you really won't suffer even the slightest loss."

Yun Ming also smiled. "You can't say it like that. This is a win-win for both of us; my Medicinal Pills are absolutely worth more than what you pay."

The two looked at each other, both satisfied.

Yao Chenzi waved his hand. "Alright, go back. Remember what I said; find some time to chat more with Mubai."

Yun Ming acknowledged this and turned to continue walking back.

This time, no one jumped out to scare him.

The mountain path was quiet and secluded, with moonlight like water.

He stopped at the entrance of his Immortal Cave.

There was light in the courtyard.

Yun Ming frowned slightly and pushed the door open to enter.

Then he froze.

In the center of the small courtyard, bathed in moonlight, a figure dressed in black Daoist robes stood with hands behind his back, head slightly lowered, looking at the herb garden that had just been tidied up by Jiu Jiu.

Those replanted Spiritual Plants were emitting a faint spiritual glow under the moonlight, growing quite well.

That person seemed to notice his arrival and slowly turned around.

Yun Ming saw the face clearly, and his pupils shrank slightly.

Yuan Zhenzi.

"Damn it!!"

He cursed subconsciously.

Yuan Zhenzi was not angry; instead, he continued to look at the herb garden with his hands behind his back, his tone leisurely. "The herb garden is well-managed, with no weeds."

Yun Ming took a deep breath, squeezed a smile onto his face, and walked quickly to greet him. "True Lord, you visit in the middle of the night; is there something you need to instruct me on?"

As he spoke, he took a small table out from his Storage Pouch and set it up, then brought out a teapot and teacups, his movements fluid and natural.

Internally, however, he was complaining wildly: This shitty Formation is truly useless; it can't even keep out a Nascent Soul!

After complaining, he realized something was wrong—his set of Formations couldn't stop a Nascent Soul anyway.

Yuan Zhenzi sat down on a stone stool, watching him busy himself without rushing to speak.

Yun Ming brewed the tea and respectfully offered it with both hands.

Yuan Zhenzi took it, sipped it, and set the teacup down.

Then he spoke his first sentence.

"That Nascent Soul True Lord who appeared in Perfected Lu's Immortal Cave was you, wasn't it."

Yun Ming's hand trembled, and he almost dropped the teapot.

He opened his mouth, wanting to deny it, wanting to say "True Lord, you have mistaken me for someone else," wanting to put on an innocent and bewildered expression—

"There is no need to hide it," Yuan Zhenzi said calmly. "Your every move is under my Divine Sense. Or rather, the entire Cangxuan Immortal Sect is under the coverage of the Divine Sense of us three Nascent Souls. Every action is known."

Yun Ming's pupils shrank slightly.

Does that mean... everything when he snuck into Perfected Lu's Immortal Cave that day was seen?

Yuan Zhenzi seemed to be able to hear his inner thoughts and continued, "The other two do not know. Although Divine Sense can cover the Sect, who would be bored enough to stare at the Disciples below all the time? But I am different—or rather, you are different."

He picked up the teacup and took another sip.

"The matters involved here are very complicated and cannot be explained in a sentence or two." Yuan Zhenzi put down the teacup, his gaze landing on Yun Ming. "I came today because I want to cooperate with you."

Yun Ming's heart stirred, but he kept his face calm.

"How does the True Lord wish to cooperate?"

Yuan Zhenzi looked at him, his eyes carrying a bit of scrutiny and a bit of appreciation.

"I don't know what kind of Breath Concealment Cultivation Technique you are using, but it is indeed very profound," he said. "Even I could not see that you actually have Nascent Soul cultivation."

Yun Ming was stunned.

Wait.

This True Lord... seems to know something, yet also seems to know nothing at all.

Is he treating him as a real Nascent Soul True Lord?

He suppressed the strangeness in his heart, his expression unchanged, and continued to listen to Yuan Zhenzi.

"I know why you came to the Cangxuan Immortal Sect," Yuan Zhenzi said. "In the entire Sect, the only thing that could interest a Nascent Soul True Lord is that Teleportation Formation. Our goals are the same."

Yun Ming asked, "You know where the Teleportation Formation is?"

The corner of Yuan Zhenzi's mouth curled up slightly, carrying a bit of confidence.

"Of course I know."

He paused and continued, "However, that Teleportation Formation is within a Secret Realm and cannot be moved to the outside world. Moreover, every time it is activated, a portion of the Secret Realm collapses. Now, it can only be activated one more time."

Yun Ming frowned slightly.

It can only be activated once?

Then how is he supposed to use it?

"What the Xuanhuang Pill Mansion wants is not just this one time," Yuan Zhenzi looked at him. "What they want is a Teleportation Formation that can operate continuously. Therefore, I need you to join me in working together to bring this Teleportation Formation out of the Secret Realm."

Yun Ming fell silent. This newly promoted Nascent Soul was actually a person from the Xuanhuang Pill Mansion.

And hearing Yuan Zhenzi's words, he felt they were eighty percent false and twenty percent true. What Secret Realm, what collapse, what working together to bring it out—only heaven knows how much of it is credible.

But he had no choice.

Because this was the only time he had heard definitive news about the Teleportation Formation.

He needed a Teleportation Formation; regardless of whether it was true or false, he had to go and see.

Yun Ming had already made his decision in his heart, but he put on a troubled expression.

Yuan Zhenzi glanced at him, as if seeing through his thoughts.

"This is not the place to talk," he stood up. "If you are sure you want to cooperate, come to my Immortal Cave."

After speaking, he raised his hand and slashed through the Void Realm.

A rift appeared out of thin air, and Yuan Zhenzi stepped into it, vanishing instantly.

Leaving Yun Ming alone standing under the moonlight, watching that slowly closing spatial rift, the expression on his face was extremely colorful.

Go to his Immortal Cave?

A fake Nascent Soul going to a real Nascent Soul's Immortal Cave?

Isn't that equivalent to a lamb walking into a tiger's den?

Yun Ming was both annoyed and amused, standing in place for a long while before finally letting out a long sigh.

Things had reached this point, Yuan Zhenzi had already left, what else could he do?

Take it one step at a time.

If all else fails, he would just go into seclusion to make a Breakthrough to the Golden Core. Even if he couldn't use this Teleportation Formation, flying back himself would at least be a bit faster.

He turned to walk into the house, but before he had taken two steps, he suddenly sensed something.

Inside the room, from the direction of that pile of Top-Grade Spirit Stones, a dazzling light lit up.

Yun Ming walked over quickly.

Jiu Jiu was curled up in the middle of that pile of Spirit Stones, its whole body shrouded in five-colored light. The light grew brighter and more intense, illuminating the entire room with shimmering radiance. The aura on its body was rising rapidly—Qi Refining Perfection, Foundation Establishment, Foundation Establishment Early Stage...

The light gradually receded.

Yun Ming blinked, looking at this... no, it was no longer just a bird.

Jiu Jiu's figure was several times larger than before, now the size of a crow. Those fluffy down feathers had all shed, replaced by smooth and shiny feathers—still five-colored, emitting a warm, gentle luster under the moonlight. Its figure had become slender and miraculous, with trailing tail feathers and wings that, when spread, were over a meter long.

It raised its head and looked at Yun Ming.

Those eyes were much more intelligent than before.

"Jiu—"

A clear, bright cry.

But at this very moment, a voice sounded in Yun Ming's mind.

"Master!"

The voice was thin and tender, like a two or three-year-old child, carrying a bit of joy and a bit of coquettishness.

Yun Ming was stunned. "Jiu Jiu?"

"It's me, it's me!" the voice in his mind responded happily. "I can finally talk to Master!"

Yun Ming looked at the much more miraculous bird before him and listened to the childish voice in his mind, and suddenly smiled.

Such a cool look, how is it a child's voice?
