66: I don’t want spicy beef noodles!

In ancient times, Zhao Gao pointed to a deer and called it a horse; now, Cheng Zhen uses a mallet as a scepter.

Wooden Fish Mallet: Tell the Wooden Fish I'm not coming back, I have a new job!

The NPCs and Old Xu's group were stunned by Cheng Zhen's actions, momentarily unsure how to react.

Cheng Zhen, however, remained calm, as if what he held in his hand truly was that scepter.

He wasn't worried about any negative consequences, because from start to finish, the dungeon's mission was never to obtain the scepter.

Even if the NPCs valued that thing, or could get the scepter from somewhere else, it wouldn't affect Cheng Zhen's current status, so there was no need to bother looking for it.

The Old Shaman's hand trembled as he pointed at Cheng Zhen: "Nonsense! How could such a thing be a scepter? You're just spouting rubbish!"

"I'm a magnanimous person, and I won't argue with you, considering your old eyes are dim and you can't see clearly." Cheng Zhen stared coldly at the Shaman, "Don't waste time. Since I've completed the prophecy and obtained the scepter, hurry up and proceed to the next step: enthrone me as the King of this Desert!"

The Old Shaman's blood pressure shot up, but he couldn't display his aggression verbally, so he could only look at the people behind Cheng Zhen.

Although he didn't know why the Golden Scorpion Tribe and Vulture Tribe people hadn't killed this brat, they couldn't just stand by and watch him mess things up, could they?

"Lord Aoshoda, Lord Aisinlap, and the other chiefs present, are you going to just stand by and watch this disrespectful person insult the great Hosa Du?"

Seeing the Old Shaman look over, the two NPCs looked at the sky and then at the ground, thinking how very sunny the sun was today, and how very sandy the sand on the ground was.

At this moment, Old Xu displayed the shrewdness of a middle-aged man: "Who says this isn't hao sa du's scepter? This scepter is fantastic! Shaman, you can't lie through your teeth and go back on your word!"

Who the hell is lying through their teeth?!

The Old Shaman almost fainted from anger.

Zhou Xing and the others next to him also chimed in with agreement.

Cheng Zhen was very satisfied.

See, this is the importance of convincing people with virtue!

The green flame twitched even more violently, looking like it might extinguish at any moment, and the figure within swayed precariously, as if the Old Shaman was about to follow Hosa Du at any second.

Cheng Zhen was quite curious if directly enraging the old man to death would lead to an instant clear, but the other party swayed twice and then stabilized. It seems people who can survive in a place like the Desert still have strong physical constitutions!

The Old Shaman took several deep breaths, calming his mind. He cast a gloomy look at Cheng Zhen and the people behind him, already understanding that this group had sided together.

Then, with a forced smile, he spoke: "Since you all acknowledge this… scepter, then, please, the chief of the Sand Fox Tribe, bring your people out."

"We have already prepared the coronation ceremony outside the forbidden area, respectfully inviting the new King to come and assume his position!"

The Old Shaman bit out a few of those words, then he no longer wanted to look at that wooden stick, cutting off communication, and the green flame extinguished with it.

"Be careful." Zhou Xing reminded him from the side, "That coronation ceremony is probably very problematic."

"Indeed, the Old Shaman practically had 'I'm going to kill you' written all over his face."

Cheng Zhen shrugged: "However, this dungeon is essentially a team fight game. Even if the dungeon scales up in difficulty, the only tactics enemies can use are human wave attacks. They can't possibly drop a nuclear bomb on me."

"Considering they are cheating enthusiasts, their numbers might be two or three times ours, but that difference isn't really a big deal."

In one encounter, Cheng Zhen had already figured out the opponent's general situation.

Not only that, but when the green flame cast a shadow of the person, Cheng Zhen subconsciously threw out a [Character Appraisal].

The result was surprising; even with 'video communication' with the opponent, the appraisal skill succeeded, and Cheng Zhen had already learned the opponent's stats and divine abilities.

After seeing that ability, Cheng Zhen felt that he and the opponent were in a 30/70 split—the kind where he makes the opponent cry seven times in three minutes.

After hearing this, Zhou Xing had only one thought:

You call this a Rookie?

A Rookie at the top of the pyramid, right?

Cheng Zhen then looked at the two NPC chiefs and said, "You two should have figured it out by now, right?"

If these two chiefs couldn't understand the Old Shaman's behavior just now, they might as well go back to feeding camels.

"That bastard, he actually deceived us!"

The Golden Scorpion Chieftain felt pain in his body and even more hatred in his heart: "There was no prophecy about finding a scepter at all, which is why the Shaman acted so strangely when he heard the scepter was found!"

The Vulture Chief frowned, still a bit confused: "All the tribal chiefs are gathered here. If the lie is exposed, his end will be more miserable than a hyena's prey. Since the Shaman is already in such a high position of power, why would he do this?"

"It's precisely because all the tribal leaders are here that it's convenient to catch them all at once!"

Cheng Zhen 'kindly' helped explain, "If all the tribal leaders die, he will truly be above everyone. I imagine that coronation ceremony has already been prepared to his liking."

The second-in-command won't be satisfied with just being second; he'll only resent why he isn't the boss.

"And he talked about helping me... he clearly just wanted me to eliminate the other tribes for him!" The Golden Scorpion Chieftain's face was already dark, covered in storm clouds.

"Don't worry, you can vent all your anger on him later." Cheng Zhen pointed to the way back, showing the two chiefs the direction of their efforts.

The loyalty of the two NPC chiefs jumped up another notch, likely making them immune to betrayal. For this, Cheng Zhen sincerely thanked the Old Shaman for the assist.

"Leader," the Vulture Chief dropped his former status, addressing Cheng Zhen this way for the first time, "May we allow our wounded warriors to rest for a day and engage in a decisive battle with the Shaman tomorrow?"

Two battles had erupted that day, and there were many casualties.

Several Vulture warriors were still poisoned and found it difficult to move. If they were given a day to recover, they might be able to participate in the battle tomorrow.

But Cheng Zhen shook his head, refusing the Vulture Chief's request: "I think it's better to resolve the battle as soon as possible, otherwise, who knows what ambushes and traps the Shaman will prepare outside."

His buff could lock stats, so he wasn't worried about affecting combat power; he just needed everyone to remove the negative statuses of fatigue and hunger.

The NPCs listened to Cheng Zhen's decision and said nothing more, obediently agreeing. However, Zhou Xing, who knew about the dungeon's increased difficulty, couldn't help but feel a little worried.

"Are you sure?" Zhou Xing didn't mean to object, he just felt that the NPC's suggestion was beneficial and worth considering.

"Absolutely!" Cheng Zhen strongly expressed his desire to clear the dungeon, "I really don't want to eat beef noodles anymore!"

Everyone: ???

Not eating beef noodles? What kind of reason is that?

The absurd reason stunned everyone, leaving them at a loss for words.

"Last round, let's go full speed ahead."

Seeing their confusion, Cheng Zhen didn't say much, just confidently pulled out an item:

"Don't worry, with this thing, I don't even know how to lose!"
