61: Chapter 61 Returning to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School

Bai Qi stood before the Mountain Gate of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School, looking up at the five large characters "Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School," a smile appearing on his face.

Setting off from Lanba Academy and rushing back all the way, he didn't delay much on the road, so it was quite a bit faster than he had expected.

Upon reaching the entrance, the guarding Disciple recognized him at a glance and didn't stop him, even greeting Bai Qi respectfully.

"Young Master Bai."

Bai Qi nodded with a smile. After entering, he crossed the Front Courtyard, bypassed the Martial Arts Field, and headed straight for the Main Hall.

He didn't go to find Xiao Wu and the others first but went directly to see Ning Fengzhi.

Meanwhile, Ning Fengzhi was handling affairs in the Study.

At that moment, someone announced at the door.

"Sect Master, Young Master Bai Qi is here."

Hearing the announcement, Ning Fengzhi was startled for a moment, then smiled, put down his pen, and said to the reporting Disciple.

"Good, let him in."

"Yes."

A moment later, Bai Qi reached the door and knocked.

"Come in."

Hearing the voice, Bai Qi walked in. After entering, he cupped his fists in a salute to Ning Fengzhi and said with a smile.

"Uncle Ning."

"Good, come, sit down. I happen to have something to ask you."

Ning Fengzhi smiled and invited him to sit, then ordered someone to serve tea.

"How was your experience in the Sunset Forest?"

Ning Fengzhi picked up his teacup, his tone casual.

Bai Qi nodded.

"It was alright. I also met the Poison Douluo, Dugu Bo, over there. He is now a Guest Elder of our Lanba Academy."

Ning Fengzhi's hand paused slightly, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes. He naturally knew about Lanba Academy, but Dugu Bo's presence there surprised him. However, he quickly regained his composure and said.

"Dugu Bo? He actually agreed to be a Guest Elder? That's quite rare."

Bai Qi smiled and said.

"Perhaps he got tired of staying in his own little corner and wanted to come out for a change."

Ning Fengzhi didn't press further and instead said.

"Since you mentioned Lanba Academy, you're back this time to take them away, right?"

Bai Qi said.

"Yes. Ah Yin, Xiao Wu, Meng Yiran, Rongrong, and Zhuqing—I plan to take them all to Lanba Academy. Everything is arranged over there, and they can all stay."

Ning Fengzhi put down his teacup, glanced at Bai Qi, and said slowly.

"However, you all dropped out of Flender's Shrek Academy before, and now you're going to Liu Erlong's Lanba Academy. You know the relationship between Flender and Liu Erlong, right?"

Bai Qi nodded.

"I know. The Golden Triangle: Flender, Liu Erlong, and Yu Xiaogang."

Ning Fengzhi didn't expect Bai Qi to know, but he wasn't too surprised. After all, Bai Qi should already be studying at Lanba Academy, so it wasn't strange for him to know. He continued.

"Since you know, aren't you afraid Flender might have some thoughts about it?"

Bai Qi thought for a moment and said.

"Flender and Liu Erlong are two different matters. I went to Lanba Academy because it suits me, not because of her relationship with Flender. Besides, Dean Flender isn't that petty of a person."

Ning Fengzhi looked at Bai Qi, remained silent for a moment, and then nodded.

"As long as you know what you're doing. The girls are all in the Backyard. I'll have someone call them over. Sit for a while and have some tea."

Bai Qi responded and picked up his teacup to sip slowly.

Ning Fengzhi instructed a Disciple to go to the Backyard to invite them, then thought for a moment, smiled, and specifically added a reminder.

"Don't say Bai Qi is back; just say I have something to discuss with them."

The Disciple took the order and left.

Before long, footsteps were heard outside.

The first to enter was Ah Yin. She wore a plain long dress and walked with light steps. The moment she pushed the door open and saw Bai Qi, she was momentarily stunned, and then a gentle smile appeared in her eyes.

"Xiao Qi? When did you get back?"

Ah Yin's voice was light and gentle.

Bai Qi looked at Ah Yin and said with a smile.

"I just arrived and chatted with Uncle Ning for a bit. Ah Yin, sit down and let's talk."

Ah Yin nodded and sat down beside him.

The second to enter was Xiao Wu. She came skipping in, muttering to herself.

"What does Uncle Ning want with us?"

Halfway through her sentence, her eyes landed on Bai Qi.

She froze on the spot, then let out a cry of "Ah!" and pounced directly into Bai Qi's arms.

"Xiao Qi! You're back! Why didn't you say anything first? I thought it would be a long time before you returned!"

Bai Qi held Xiao Wu, smiling as he rubbed her hair, and said.

"The business is finished, so I came back. Are you surprised?"

Xiao Wu nodded vigorously, her eyes sparkling.

The third to enter was Meng Yiran.

She followed behind, holding a notebook in her hand, which looked like the manuscript Bai Qi had left for her.

Upon entering and seeing Bai Qi, she was first startled, then the corners of her mouth curled up slightly. She tucked away the manuscript and sat down to the side.

"You're back?"

Meng Yiran's tone was calm, but her eyes clearly held a hint of joy.

Bai Qi nodded.

"I'm back."

Right after was Zhu Zhuqing.

She was still dressed in black with a cold expression. Entering and seeing Bai Qi with Xiao Wu in his arms, she was slightly surprised, then nodded and quietly sat in a corner.

But in those cool eyes, an imperceptible light flashed.

The last to enter was Ning Rongrong. She came running in, panting.

"Dad, what do you want with us?"

Before she could finish, she saw Bai Qi, and her eyes widened instantly.

"Xiao Bai! When did you get back?"

Ning Rongrong hurried over to him in a few steps, looking him up and down.

"Are you okay? Did things go smoothly at the Sunset Forest?"

Bai Qi rubbed Xiao Wu's head and said with a smile.

"Of course it went smoothly. I'm here to pick you all up."

"Pick us up? To go where?"

Ning Rongrong asked in confusion.

Bai Qi explained.

"Lanba Academy. I've secured a courtyard there, enough for everyone to stay. Isn't the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament about to start? I want to form a team to participate. You all join me to gain some practical combat experience."

Xiao Wu was the first to respond, sitting up straight while still on Bai Qi, making him hunch over in surprise.

"I'm going, I'm going! I've wanted to go out for a long time; I'm bored to death staying here."

Meng Yiran thought for a moment and also nodded.

"I'll go too."

Zhu Zhuqing didn't say much, only nodding her head.

Ning Rongrong turned to look at Ning Fengzhi.

"Dad, then I'm going."

Ning Fengzhi said with a smile.

"It's your own business, decide for yourself. But since you're going, Cultivate well."

Ning Rongrong nodded happily and said.

"Oh, Dad, don't worry!"

Ah Yin looked at Bai Qi tenderly. After all, she had come with Bai Qi in the first place, so it went without saying she would follow him.

Bai Qi, who had been made somewhat uncomfortable by Xiao Wu, moved her to the chair beside him and said.

"Then go back and pack your things. We'll set off tomorrow morning. Let's have a good meal tonight."

Everyone agreed with a smile.

Ning Fengzhi had someone prepare the evening banquet and kept Bai Qi for a few more words, which were nothing more than reminders to take good care of Ning Rongrong.

That evening, a feast was laid out in the Side Hall of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School.

Ning Fengzhi did not attend, saying that the young people should gather and he wouldn't interfere.

The six of them—Bai Qi, Ah Yin, Xiao Wu, Meng Yiran, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing—sat around the table, chatting and laughing.

Xiao Wu chattered incessantly, asking Bai Qi about his experiences in the Sunset Forest. Bai Qi shared some stories, and everyone learned about the existence of Dugu Bo, Dugu Yan, and Ye Lingling.

When Ning Rongrong learned that Ye Lingling was the possessor of the Nine Heart Begonia Spirit, she was even more surprised and explained it to everyone.

After finishing the meal, everyone went back to pack their luggage.

Meanwhile, Bai Qi lay in the courtyard, drinking tea and watching the night, thinking that it really was better when things were lively.
