63: Chapter 63 Returning to Blue Tyrant Academy (Part 2)
At this moment, two people were standing at the academy entrance: Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling.
Dugu Yan leaned against a door pillar, fiddling with a Sleeve Arrow in her hand.
She was much more familiar with Sleeve Arrows now.
Ye Lingling stood beside her, quietly reading a book.
Seeing Bai Qi approaching with someone on his back, Dugu Yan's eyes lit up. She put away her Sleeve Arrow and went to meet them.
"Bai Qi, you're back."
Dugu Yan's gaze swept over the sleeping Xiao Wu on his back, then to Ah Yin, Ning Rongrong, Meng Yiran, and Zhu Zhuqing behind him, thinking to herself.
There really were quite a few women.
Bai Qi nodded and gently set Xiao Wu down. Xiao Wu opened her eyes dazed and mumbled something.
"Are we there?"
She then closed them again. Bai Qi had no choice but to steady her, letting her lean against his shoulder as he held her, then said to Dugu Yan.
"These are the ones I told you about. This is Xiao Wu, Sister Yin, Meng Yiran, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing."
Then he pointed to Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling for Ah Yin, Ning Rongrong, and the others.
"These are Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling."
Hearing this, Xiao Wu finally opened her eyes and greeted them politely.
"Sister Yan, Sister Lingling."
Hearing "Sister Yan," Dugu Yan felt great and said with a smile.
"Come on in, Dean Liu Erlong is waiting for you inside."
Bai Qi nodded and pulled Xiao Wu inside.
After entering the gate and walking along the bluestone main path, they saw a few students sparring on the training grounds.
Seeing Bai Qi's group, they stopped to look at him curiously; after all, a man standing among a group of beauties was hard to miss.
Passing through the training grounds and around the teaching building, they reached the small courtyard deep within the bamboo forest.
The gate was open, and Liu Erlong was already standing in the courtyard waiting. Seeing Bai Qi, she said.
"You're back?"
Bai Qi nodded and said.
"Yes, Teacher Erlong."
Liu Erlong hummed in response, not asking much, just looking at the people behind Bai Qi.
"Rest here for now. I'll arrange their enrollment tomorrow."
After saying that, she glanced at Bai Qi.
"Find me anytime if you need anything."
Bai Qi thanked her, and Liu Erlong nodded before turning to leave.
Her footsteps faded away on the bluestone road and soon vanished.
Xiao Wu woke up as soon as they entered the courtyard and immediately became lively.
She ran around the yard, shouting as she did.
"There really is a pool! And flowers! Xiao Qi, you didn't lie to me!"
Ning Rongrong and Meng Yiran also followed her around.
Ning Rongrong was very interested in the pool. She crouched down to test the water temperature and said.
"You can swim in the summer, but it might be too cold in the winter."
Zhu Zhuqing stood quietly under the porch, her gaze scanning the yard before finally landing on Bai Qi, giving a slight nod.
Ah Yin stood in the center of the courtyard, looking around with a gentle smile. She walked over to Bai Qi and whispered.
"This courtyard is very nice, even better than I imagined."
Bai Qi smiled and said to them.
"The rooms are all empty now, so pick whichever one you want. One for each person. I've already prepared the bedding and pillows."
After asking where Bai Qi's room was, Xiao Wu was the first to rush up and chose the room next to his.
The others also chose their rooms not far from Bai Qi's.
He first helped Xiao Wu make her bed. After it was done, Xiao Wu rolled around on it and said.
"This bed is even more comfortable than the ones at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School!"
Bai Qi smiled and said.
"Of course, after all, they were all bought with gold coins."
After they were settled, Bai Qi took everyone to the cafeteria for dinner.
On the way, they ran into Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling. Dugu Yan took the initiative to come over and said.
"You don't mind if the two of us join you, right? The cafeteria gets crowded in the evening; if we go late, there won't be any seats."
Before Bai Qi could speak, Xiao Wu nodded and walked over to Dugu Yan. The two chatted as they walked, getting along surprisingly well.
Dugu Yan talked about interesting things at the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy, and Xiao Wu listened with great interest.
Ning Rongrong also walked over to Ye Lingling and said.
"I heard your Spirit is the Nine Heart Begonia."
Ye Lingling said softly.
"Yes."
And that was it.
Zhu Zhuqing walked at the very back, quietly watching Bai Qi.
After arriving at the cafeteria, they found a large table in a corner on the second floor, bought some food, and started eating.
Xiao Wu took a bite and nodded.
"It's okay."
During the meal, Dugu Yan sat next to Xiao Wu and introduced the academy's teachers to her. When she mentioned the Director of Admissions, Xiao Wu said with some surprise.
"A Rank fifty-four is a director?"
After all, when they were at Shrek, the lowest Rank was a Spirit Emperor.
Dugu Yan said helplessly.
"It can't be helped. In Heaven Dou City, Lanba Academy can't recruit many high-ranking teachers."
Xiao Wu smiled and said.
"Then when we get stronger, we'll become teachers too."
Hearing this, Dugu Yan glanced at Bai Qi. In Heaven Dou City, high-ranking Spirit Masters looked down on Lanba Academy to some extent because it didn't recruit nobles, only commoners. Besides, with the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy right there, being able to recruit a Spirit King was already good.
After dinner, they returned to the courtyard. It was already completely dark.
Bai Qi lit the lamps in the courtyard and brewed a pot of tea. Everyone sat around the pavilion, drinking tea and chatting.
Xiao Wu took a sip, her eyes lighting up as she said in surprise.
"Delicious! What kind of tea is this?"
Bai Qi thought about his wording and said.
"Medicinal tea, it's good for the body."
Xiao Wu took a few more sips and leaned back comfortably in her chair.
Ning Rongrong also offered some praise, and Meng Yiran thought it was good.
Zhu Zhuqing quietly drank a cup without commenting.
As the night deepened, more and more stars appeared.
The courtyard was very quiet, with only the sound of insects and the rustling of the wind through the trees.
After a long while, everyone returned to their rooms to rest.
Bai Qi sat alone in the courtyard, his tea having grown a bit cold.
He looked towards the girls in the living room, who were watching TV with curious faces.
Faint screams from Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, and the others could be heard from inside.
Bai Qi looked away, finished his tea in one gulp, tidied up, and went inside.
He stopped at his bedroom door and looked back at the living room, watching Xiao Wu and the others still watching a horror movie.
Bai Qi watched with a smile for a moment before pushing the door and entering his room.
The night passed without incident.
Bai Qi woke up, lay in bed for a while, then got up and washed up briefly.
When he pushed open his door and walked into the living room, Ah Yin's voice came from the kitchen.
"Morning. I'm stir-frying; it'll be ready soon."
Bai Qi walked over and saw Ah Yin wearing an apron, standing in front of the stove cooking.
At this moment, Xiao Wu hadn't gotten up yet, nor had Ning Rongrong.
Meng Yiran, however, was up, sitting at the living room table and looking at the Hidden Weapons Bai Qi had given them last night, unable to put them down.
Meanwhile, Zhu Zhuqing was by the window, sitting cross-legged and Cultivating.
Bai Qi went to the large balcony on the second floor, leaning on the railing and looking at the Cultivating Zhu Zhuqing with a smile.
"Time to eat."
With Ah Yin's call, the Cultivating Zhu Zhuqing also finished. She looked up and saw Bai Qi, and the two smiled at each other.
Finally, Bai Qi nodded, said something to Zhu Zhuqing, and turned to wake Xiao Wu and the others.
