80: The final judgment! The female demon: Stop pretending!

Ye Linghan looked at his expression of sheer terror, the smile on her face growing increasingly bewitching and cruel.

It was the ultimate thrill of a successful scheme, of toying with her prey in the palm of her hand.

She was so excited that ripples of pleasure even emanated from the Void Realm around her.

She extended a pink tongue and slowly, deliberately licked her crimson lips. Those phoenix eyes burning with dark red demonic flames swept over Su Chen from head to toe with playful amusement, as if admiring a delicate toy about to be taken apart.

"Little Man, are you curious why I suddenly decided to act against you?"

Instead of answering directly, she began to recite in an eerily strange tone, mimicking the lazy, punchable cadence Su Chen used when writing his diary.

"[What a day of abysmal luck! First, my meddlesome hand released a Crazy Woman who's been sealed away for who knows how many tens of thousands of years in the Forbidden Ground...]"

"[Thankfully, I, Su Chen, am clever beyond compare! I managed to trick that Old Auntie senseless, relying solely on my devastatingly handsome face and my silver tongue!]"

"[...I just randomly made up a name, shamelessly proposed to her, and she actually believed it! Just like that, she left!]"

Familiar lines of complaint, ones that could only have appeared in his private diary, were recited clearly by Ye Ninghan in a mocking, playful tone.

Every single word felt like a resounding slap, striking hard against Su Chen's Soul.

Su Chen's expression shifted from shock, to horror, and finally to complete ashen despair.

How... how could she know the contents of the diary?!

A thought more unbearable than achieving Ascension on the spot exploded in his mind.

Could it be that this Crazy Woman has been sneaking invisibly into my Divine Son Peak every night, crouching by my bedside, watching me write my diary?!

[Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! It's over! My lifelong reputation! My great undertaking of the Dao of Survival! All my shameful little complaints! Were they all broadcast live?!]

BOOM!!!

Su Chen felt his world completely collapse.

"Little Liar..."

Watching his utterly hollowed-out, Soul-depleted state, Ye Ninghan reached out in satisfaction and gently patted his rigid cheek, as if teasing a despairing pet.

"Didn't you want me to be your wife?"

"I've come back... to 'cherish' you properly."

The word "cherish" in her mouth was saturated with malice that made one's scalp tingle.

Every hair on Su Chen's body stood on end.

A dead end.

A complete and utter dead end!

Shame, anger, terror, despair... countless emotions churned like magma in his heart. Finally, a mad fury, pushed to the edge of the cliff, detonated with a roar!

Damn it!

My deepest secrets have all been exposed anyway! Continuing to play the survival game would just make me a laughingstock!

Even if I die, I, Su Chen, will die standing!

Act? Pretend?

I'm done pretending! Cards on the table!

Su Chen's ashen-grey peach blossom eyes suddenly erupted with astonishing brilliance at this moment!

That light was no longer the usual laziness, but a kindled flame intense enough to incinerate stars!

All fear, all panic, were burned away in that instant by that overwhelming fury!

He suddenly laughed.

He laughed brightly, laughed wantonly, laughed so freely that even Ye Ninghan was taken aback.

"Yes, I admit it."

He casually tossed the pig on his shoulder and the wine jar in his arms aside, his movements so carefree it was as if he were discarding two bothersome stones.

He looked directly into Ye Ninghan's bewitching phoenix eyes, his tone unnervingly frank.

"I deceived you. I've been deceiving you from start to finish."

Ye Ninghan narrowed her eyes. She hadn't expected this man to still have the audacity to provoke her at a time like this.

However, Su Chen's next words completely froze the smile on her face.

"But do you know why I deceived you?"

Bracing against Ye Linghan's terrifying demonic pressure, he walked step by step towards Ye Ninghan.

The previous salted fish laziness was gone from his face, replaced by a depth of passion and madness that Ye Ninghan had never seen before, a look so intense it felt like it could drown a person.

"Because from the very first moment I saw you in the Forbidden Ground, I fell in love with you."

Su Chen's voice grew low and magnetic, carrying a magic that seemed to span eons. Every syllable struck hard against the chaotic demon heart of Ye Ninghan.

"I've never seen a woman more beautiful than you, nor a Soul more pure. I wanted you. I wanted to possess you, to make you belong to me alone!"

He had already walked right up to Ye Ninghan and slowly raised his hand.

His movements were gentle, yet carried an irresistible domineering force as he lightly caressed Ye Ninghan's exquisitely beautiful face, which had stiffened in astonishment.

His fingertips trembled slightly, whether from fear or from extreme excitement, it was unclear.

"But I knew you wouldn't believe me. How could a Fallen Immortal sealed away for a hundred thousand years believe the nonsense of a junior from the Su Family? So, I could only deceive you! I could only use that most clumsy, most laughable method to first carve out a damned place for myself in your heart!"

"The name 'Ye Ninghan' wasn't something I randomly made up! It's because the moment I saw you, I felt that name was the only one worthy of you! It represents the loneliness and cold of the night, and also represents the little bit of warmth I hoped to bring you!"

"And the words 'be my wife' were even less of a lie!"

He gazed into her eyes. The fire burning in his peach blossom eyes was almost enough to ignite her very Soul.

Word by word, his voice hoarse yet filled with the resolve of a madman.

"That was the truest sentence I, Su Chen, have ever spoken in my entire life!"
