Fight for the Artifact

“Do you want to obtain the Divine Artifact?” Xiao Feng looked at Su Xueqing, whose eyes were filled with determination, in some astonishment.

“Yes, I want to obtain the Divine Artifact.” Su Xueqing stared unblinkingly at Xiao Feng.

Xiao Feng frowned and asked with some confusion, “Why?”

Su Xueqing did not speak; she only lowered her head slightly, appearing as if she did not know how to tell Xiao Feng about this matter.

“I am not blaming you; I am just curious why you want to compete for the Divine Artifact in this situation. You know very well that this is dangerous.”

Xiao Feng had never mentioned the ancient Divine Artifact to them, precisely because he worried they might develop ideas about it.

Are ancient Divine Artifacts necessarily good?

Regarding this question, Xiao Feng had previously believed that since it could be called a Divine Artifact, it must be good.

But Xiao Feng trusted his own perception.

Although the System had not detected any danger up to this point.

Yet, Xiao Feng still could not forget the feeling he had sensed in the dark when the earth shook just now, as if danger was approaching.

In Xiao Feng's view, the treasures they found while being led by the Taowu were better than this ancient Divine Artifact.

They were both safe, and there was no need to worry about too many people knowing, so no one would compete with them for them.

But now, facing Su Xueqing's firm attitude, Xiao Feng found himself momentarily at a loss for how to persuade her.

“I know it is dangerous, but I am considering the entire Ming Cult.” Facing Xiao Feng's persuasion, Su Xueqing made up her mind and looked directly at Xiao Feng, speaking bluntly.

“For the Ming Cult?” Xiao Feng repeated.

“Yes, if I can obtain the Divine Artifact, the members of the Ming Cult will no longer have to hide. This is my mission, something I must do, and I have no way to give up.”

This was the first time Su Xueqing had shown such a determined attitude, which made Xiao Feng silently swallow the persuasion that had already reached his lips.

After a moment of silence, Xiao Feng raised his head again, but instead of looking at Su Xueqing, he turned to look at Zhao Yuwei beside him.

Zhao Yuwei understood Xiao Feng; she knew that this look from him meant he had already decided to help Su Xueqing compete for the Divine Artifact.

Xiao Feng himself had no designs on this Divine Artifact.

But since Su Xueqing wanted it and had such a reason, even if Xiao Feng was only considering Wu Hai, he would definitely help Su Xueqing obtain the Divine Artifact.

Regarding this, the understanding Zhao Yuwei expressed that no matter what Xiao Feng wanted to do, she would support his decision.

Facing Zhao Yuwei's gentle smile, Xiao Feng was unwilling to let them stay here and take risks with him.

So Xiao Feng gritted his teeth and said, “I can help you with competing for the Divine Artifact.”

Joy appeared on Su Xueqing's face.

Xiao Feng turned his head to look at the others and then said, “Senior Longgu, Senior Red Frost, please take the little dragons and the Dragon Baby, as well as Senior Sister, and wait here. If there is an opportunity to leave the Secret Realm, leave directly.”

Xiao Feng knew that Han Ya also had ideas about the Divine Artifact, so he did not include Han Ya in that group.

He would not let everyone accompany him and Su Xueqing to take risks.

Longgu and Red Frost frowned.

Longgu said, “Since you are going to compete for the Divine Artifact, you must be lacking helpers. Why not let us go with you?”

Xiao Feng shook his head firmly and then said, “Competing for the Divine Artifact is fraught with danger. This is my own decision; I cannot let the two Seniors take risks with us. The two little dragons need protection, so I ask the two Seniors to remain in a safe place.”

Zhao Yuwei immediately said, “What about me? I certainly don't need to stay in a safe place; I want to be with you.”

Xiao Feng shook his head firmly and said with a serious expression, “This trip is fraught with danger; I do not want to involve you. I know your heart, Senior Sister, but I also hope that in this matter, you can listen to me.”

Of course, Zhao Yuwei did not want to listen to Xiao Feng.

If Longgu and Red Frost did not go with them to compete for the Divine Artifact, the probability of being able to obtain it would be much smaller.

If she didn't follow by Xiao Feng's side, and something happened, it would be too late for her to regret it.

So Zhao Yuwei wanted to refuse Xiao Feng's arrangement.

But seeing Xiao Feng's serious expression, Zhao Yuwei did not want to disturb Xiao Feng's Life Qi.

“What if there is danger?”

“It's alright. My strength has greatly increased, and I have just obtained so many treasures in the Secret Realm. If we are fated to have the Divine Artifact, we will naturally be able to obtain it.”

“You go to a safe place and wait for us. When the Secret Realm can be left, you should leave as soon as possible. At that time, we will meet at the small town outside the Secret Realm.”

Seeing that Xiao Feng had already arranged the situation, Zhao Yuwei could only agree with tears in her eyes.

Seeing this scene, Su Xueqing opened her mouth.

But she knew that she could not obtain the Divine Artifact alone; she needed Xiao Feng's help.

It was already very good that Xiao Feng was willing to help her; by what right could she ask the others to stay and step into danger with her?

After deciding who would stay and who would go, Xiao Feng looked at Han Ya to the side.

Han Ya said, “I will naturally go to compete for the Divine Artifact. Please continue to help me take care of the little dragon.”

The Dragon Baby, who had been snuggled in Red Frost's arms, seemed to sense something and crawled out of Red Frost's arms.

The Dragon Baby chirped towards the direction where Han Ya was.

Hearing this sound, Han Ya walked forward and took the Dragon Baby from Red Frost's arms.

The Dragon Baby, who previously had not been very willing to be close to Han Ya, now wrapped its short little tail around Han Ya's wrist, as if it did not want Han Ya to separate from it.

This should have been a happy thing for Han Ya.

But at such a time of imminent departure, it appeared exceptionally agonizing.

Han Ya silently raised his finger and gently stroked the Dragon Baby wrapped around his wrist.

The Dragon Baby raised its head and nudged Han Ya's finger with its little head, as if it were telling him something.

A flash of affection crossed Han Ya's eyes, and then it returned to the previous cold and ruthless expression.

A surge of immense power poured out from Han Ya's fingertips and quickly flooded into the Dragon Baby's body.

Seeing this situation, Red Frost was about to say something, but was pulled by Longgu next to her.

Red Frost saw Longgu shake his head and knew that Longgu was not letting her interfere with Han Ya's decision.

But by doing this, Han Ya would not only damage his own cultivation but also make the Dragon Baby no longer remember him.

Could it be that Han Ya had already prepared himself that he might not come back after this attempt to compete for the Divine Artifact?

Han Ya poured half of his power into the Dragon Baby's body and cast a Seal.

Before the Dragon Baby had the ability to withstand this power, the Seal would not be lifted.

Finally, with affection and reluctance towards the Dragon Baby, Han Ya ultimately sealed all of the Dragon Baby's previous memories of him.

The Dragon Baby fell into a deep sleep; Han Ya returned the Dragon Baby to Red Frost and then turned away.

Han Ya spoke ruthlessly, “You should leave as soon as possible. Now the Secret Realm is turbulent, and the passage to the outside world must have opened. It is safer for you to leave from here.”
