201: Chapter 201 Allocation of the Railgun
In the armory.
As the disassembly serial numbers for over three hundred Crystal Rail Cannons popped up, Jiang Jiuyou and Yi Chang simultaneously modified the same batch of permissions.
Jiang Jiuyou stood before the main console, her silver-white low ponytail tied behind her head, a military coat draped over her shoulders, her fingers tapping across a whole row of Crystal Rail Cannon serial numbers.
"Dismantle them all for the Sea Scale."
"The Gray-White Mechanical Holy Court stronghold is still uploading coordinates; the Tier 6 Hunter King will arrive in four days at the earliest."
"With one less piece of external firepower, another batch of people will die when passing through the gate."
The next second, Yi Chang's permissions cut in from the mining area dispatch console.
Thirty percent of the turret serial numbers were forcibly locked by her.
Jiang Jiuyou looked up.
"Reason."
Yi Chang threw the transport route map over.
"After the mineral vein is cut, the Crystal Sand core needs to be escorted into the Sea-Sky Fortress."
"The rail line is forty-seven kilometers long."
"Remnant city guards, rioting mine slaves, wasteland beasts—any one of these could slow down progress."
"Without escort cannons, the transport line will be blown up."
Jiang Jiuyou sneered.
"I will send the Shadow Unit to escort it."
Yi Chang replied quickly.
"The Shadow Unit only has nineteen people."
"The mineral vein transport line is forty-seven kilometers long."
"This amount of troops cannot form a continuous defensive line."
"Once the transport line is cut, all cannon disassembly plans will have to stop."
Jiang Jiuyou stepped forward.
"City defense firepower is under my command, and the transport line is under your coordination."
"You locking the turret permissions is bypassing the fire control sequence."
Yi Chang did not back down either.
"Only by securing the mines will there be cannons to dismantle."
The air pressure between the two began to drop.
Beside them, the proprietress clutched her ledger, her fox ears standing high, watching the excitement while writing the estimated value of each Crystal Rail Cannon into the ledger pages.
Blood Rose leaned against the doorframe, her red dress slit to her thigh, wine-red hair cascading over her shoulders, her red lips curving.
"This atmosphere is more valuable than dismantling cannons."
Jiang Jiuyou turned her face.
"Blood Rose."
Blood Rose immediately stood straight.
"I'm just passing by."
Jiang Jiuyou spoke coldly.
"Laugh again, and there will be a vacancy for a supervisor in the bottom hold's forced labor camp."
Blood Rose immediately composed herself.
"I fully support the organization's distribution."
Chen Chen walked into the armory.
He swept a glance at the turret list, the mineral vein transport line, and the Sea Scale's external mounting slots.
He didn't ask who was right or wrong.
The next second, he raised his hand and pressed it onto the main console.
His Lord permissions directly overrode the two's competing markers.
Jiang Jiuyou and Yi Chang simultaneously fell silent.
"Chen Chen, we are discussing serious matters right now."
Jiang Jiuyou lowered her voice.
Chen Chen looked at the turret list.
"Half dismantled for the Sea Scale."
"Thirty percent for mine protection."
"The remaining twenty percent will be converted into mobile artillery vehicles; whoever needs them can dispatch them."
"Firepower, transport, mobility—none can be cut off."
Yi Chang frowned.
"Mobile artillery vehicles require modification time."
Chen Chen looked up.
"Copper Hammer."
In the distance, the Bearded Mechanic who was dismantling cannon barrels turned his head.
"Lord, the first batch can be ready in two hours!"
Mio jumped up beside him.
"Two hours? Are you hammering them out with a hammer?"
Copper Hammer grinned, hoisting his welding torch.
"Without dismantling the base of the old gun mounts, I'll weld the Crystal Rail chassis directly."
"Using a hammer to pave the way saves more time than you calculating slowly."
Mio was so angry her projection flickered.
"Crude! Barbaric! No sense of aesthetics!"
Chen Chen glanced at Jiang Jiuyou and Yi Chang.
"If you've argued enough, go watch over the first batch of mobile artillery vehicles together."
"If they aren't out within two hours, both of you are going to the bottom hold as supervisors."
The two women fell silent simultaneously.
Blood Rose couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle nearby.
Jiang Jiuyou raised her hand and dragged her name into the temporary dispatch schedule.
[Blood Rose: Reserve for Bottom Hold Order Inspection.]
The smile on Blood Rose's face froze.
"Commander Jiang, personal grudges cannot be brought into work."
Jiang Jiuyou didn't look up.
"I am utilizing personnel reasonably."
Su Xiaoqi walked by holding a Crystal-Armored Earth Dragon rib, her mouth covered in grease.
"Sister Blood Rose, are you going to the bottom hold? The food there isn't good."
Blood Rose covered her mouth.
"Little ancestor, say less."
...
Shen Wanxing stood at the door, her hands clutching her blanket tightly, her whole body almost shrinking into the fabric.
As soon as the warehouse door opened, she nearly turned around and ran.
The inside was full of boxes.
Meteor Crystal Sand boxes.
Crystal Core blind boxes.
City Lord's private blueprint boxes.
Gray-White Mechanical Holy Court trading seal boxes.
Row after row, layer upon layer.
Stretching endlessly.
Shen Wanxing's face turned pale.
"Chen Chen..."
"If I pretend to faint now, will it be useful?"
Chen Chen hauled her to the front of the first row of boxes.
"Useful."
Shen Wanxing's eyes lit up.
"Really?"
Chen Chen looked at her.
"If you faint, I'll have Su Xiaoqi hold your hand to touch them."
The light in Shen Wanxing's eyes extinguished on the spot.
Su Xiaoqi raised her greasy little hand, very enthusiastically.
"I can help!"
"I'm strong!"
Shen Wanxing was so scared she immediately crouched down.
"No need!"
"I'll do it myself!"
She extended a finger, and like touching a hot potato, lightly tapped the first Crystal Sand box.
Hum.
Golden light sprang up.
[Lucky Critical triggered.]
[Obtained: Star Core Crystal Sand × 300 boxes.]
The second box.
[Five-fold critical triggered.]
[Obtained: Tier 5 Crystal Core × 50.]
The third box.
[Obtained: S-Rank Crystal Rail Cannon Upgrade Component × 12.]
Shen Wanbing stood nearby calculating.
Her long, curly black hair draped over her shoulders, wearing a short jacket over a white shirt, her fingertips swiped rapidly across the holographic panel.
"The Crystal Sand reserves are higher than expected."
"This batch of components can increase the Sea Scale's side cannon output by twenty percent."
Mio floated over and took a look.
"If Copper Hammer doesn't mess around with his hammering, it can increase by twenty-five percent."
Copper Hammer's loud voice immediately came from the distance.
"I heard that!"
Mio turned her head and roared.
"I said it specifically for you to hear!"
Shen Wanxing crouched in the pile of boxes, her face filled with despair.
When she touched the seventeenth black-gold box, as soon as her finger made contact, the entire warehouse lit up.
A purple-gold beam of light shot up from the gaps in the box lid.
Shen Wanxing was so scared she plopped onto the ground.
"It wasn't me!"
A golden glow lit up in Shen Wanbing's eyes.
[Fifty-fold Lucky Critical triggered.]
[Obtained: SS-Rank Blueprint · Star Core Power Conversion Furnace.]
Mio's projection immediately pressed against the box.
"Star Core Power Conversion Furnace?"
"This thing can convert Star Core Crystal Sand directly into ship-borne energy!"
"This is exactly what the Sea Scale is missing most right now!"
Shen Wanxing hugged her blanket and asked in a small voice.
"So, can I sleep now?"
Chen Chen pushed the twenty-fourth Gray-White seal box in front of her.
"Touch one more."
Shen Wanxing bit her lip.
She felt more uncomfortable seeing boxes now than seeing Aberrations.
But she still extended her finger and gave a light poke.
Boom!
This time, the golden-purple light beam was laced with gray-white electric patterns.
The seal box cracked open on its own.
A fingernail-sized chip floated up.
On the surface of the chip, an inverted cross pattern was engraved.
Shen Wanbing caught it immediately and connected it directly to the isolation panel.
[Hundred-fold multiplier triggered.]
[Reward quality jump.]
[Obtained: Gray-White Mechanical Holy Court Positioning Counter-Chip.]
Mio froze in mid-air.
"This thing..."
"You guys touched this out of a box?"
Shen Wanxing hugged her blanket tightly, looking aggrieved.
"It came out by itself."
Shen Wanbing didn't joke back and immediately began to deduce.
The holographic image unfolded.
The Star-Splitting Hunting Group's original pursuit route was marked as a red line.
She embedded the counter-chip into the simulation frequency band.
The next second, the red line clearly veered toward the northwest wasteland.
Shen Wanbing looked up.
"Chen Chen, it works."
"It can forge residual fluctuations and lead the Hunter King's first wave of tracking toward the northwest."
"Conservatively estimated, it will buy at least twenty-four hours."
Mio's voice lowered.
"This is equivalent to twisting the nose of the Gray-White Mechanical Holy Court."
Blood Rose leaned nearby and chuckled softly.
"Little kitten, your hand is more valuable than a cannon."
Shen Wanxing immediately raised her head.
"So can I sleep now?"
Chen Chen pushed another row of boxes over.
"Touch ten more boxes."
Shen Wanxing fell backward, and the blanket covered her face directly.
"I hate boxes."
Su Xiaoqi crouched beside her and comforted her earnestly.
"It's okay, Sister Wanxing."
"After you finish touching them, I'll share a mouthful of dragon bone soup with you."
A muffled voice came from inside the blanket.
"I hate soup even more."
