79: Chapter 79 The Raider Camp Ahead!

"Get closer."

Chen Chen pushed the control stick to the limit again.

The Ghost Fortress let out a low rumble.

It sped toward that massive red dot.

The distance continued to close.

Qin Hongye had already set up her Gauss rifle at the second-floor sniping position.

"Boss, visibility is limited."

Qin Hongye reported over the intercom.

"There's a massive sandstorm ahead; visibility is less than fifty meters."

"Thermal imaging is severely interfered with."

Chen Chen watched the sky outside the windshield gradually turn a murky yellow.

The gale whipped up sand that filled the sky, striking the energy deflection shield and creating dense blue ripples.

"Stay alert."

Chen Chen activated the penetration mode on the global scanning module.

The red dot on the Radar screen became increasingly clear.

Fifteen kilometers. Ten kilometers. Five kilometers.

The ground began to shake violently.

Ripples formed on the surface of the water in the cup placed on the table.

"Boom—"

A dull, massive sound pierced through the sandstorm and reached the cabin.

This wasn't thunder.

It was the sound of some colossal object crushing the surface rocks as it moved.

The Ghost Fortress broke through the heavy curtains of sand.

A suffocatingly huge silhouette gradually emerged from the sand-filled sky.

Chen Chen hit the brakes.

The Ghost Fortress hovered in mid-air.

The cabin was deathly silent.

Everyone stared at the giant object outside the windshield.

It was a mobile fortress pieced together from countless steel wrecks, abandoned armored vehicles, and twisted metal pipes.

Dozens of thick tracks were installed at the bottom, crushing the rocks on the wasteland.

Above the fortress, towering chimneys spewed thick black exhaust.

Countless armed personnel with guns patrolled the steel corridors on the edge of the fortress.

And right in front of this colossal object.

Hung a massive black flag.

Painted on the flag was a bleeding skull.

"Raider camp."

Jiang Yanxue rubbed her thumb over the hilt of her blade.

"This is the most notorious mobile black market on the Flesh Wasteland."

"They specialize in hunting survivor convoys and looting supplies and women."

Chen Chen leaned back against his seat.

Watching that steel monster, which was hundreds of times larger than the Ghost Fortress.

A raider camp.

A mobile vault delivered to his doorstep.

He was just worrying that he lacked a high-level energy conversion hub to manufacture the S-rank weapon, the Void Annihilation Matrix.

With such a large mobile camp, the power core definitely wouldn't be bad.

"Shen Wanbing, cut the active Radar signal."

"Jiang Yanxue, notify Seven Blades and have them stand by on the perimeter; they are not to approach without my orders."

Chen Chen pulled down his tactical goggles.

"Qin Hongye, find a high vantage point."

"We're going to browse the black market."

The mobile camp ahead suddenly let out a piercing air-raid siren.

They had discovered the Ghost Fortress.

The armor plating on the side of the camp slowly lowered.

Revealing three dark, heavy artillery barrels.

The muzzles locked directly onto the Ghost Fortress hovering in mid-air.

An extremely arrogant broadcast was forced into their communication channel.

"Listen up, you hover vehicle in front!"

"This is the 'Wild Sand' mobile camp!"

"Cut your engines! Land! Disarm all weapons!"

"All men on the vehicle, get down and kneel; leave the women and supplies!"

"You have ten seconds to consider, or we'll blast you into dust!"

Jiang Yanxue sneered.

"A bunch of idiots looking for death."

She turned to look at Chen Chen.

"Boss, should we just ram them?"

Chen Chen didn't answer.

He looked at those three heavy artillery cannons.

He quickly calculated the armor's endurance limit in his mind.

The Ghost Fortress currently had a defense of 8500 points.

Conventional artillery like this hitting the energy shield could be withstood for at least a few hundred shots!

But this camp was too large; there was no telling how many supplies and high-level materials were hidden inside.

If he just flattened it with heavy firepower, the supplies would be destroyed along with it.

That would be too wasteful.

"Shen Wanxing, go back to the second floor and wait."

Chen Chen gave the order.

Shen Wanxing nodded obediently, lifted her skirt, and ran up the stairs.

"Jiang Yanxue, open the door."

Chen Chen stood up.

"We're going to go say hello to them."

The armored door opened.

Chen Chen leaped out of the cabin first.

Jiang Yanxue followed closely behind.

Both landed steadily on the sand.

At the edge of the camp ahead, dozens of armed personnel holding heavy firearms were looking down at them from above.

Leading them was a shirtless, burly man with twisted patterns tattooed all over his body.

He was holding a modified heavy machine gun in his hand.

Watching Chen Chen and Jiang Yanxue approach.

The burly man's gaze swept back and forth over Jiang Yanxue's long legs.

"Only two people came down?"

The burly man spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva.

"Nice hover vehicle, I'll take it."

"This chick is nice too, just right to relieve the brothers' boredom."

Chen Chen stopped walking.

He was fifty meters away from them.

He raised his right hand.

"What level is your camp's power core?"

The burly man was stunned for a moment.

Then he burst into wild laughter.

The surrounding armed personnel also started laughing along.

"Is this kid scared stupid?"

"About to die and still caring about our power core?"

The burly man raised the heavy machine gun and aimed it at Chen Chen.

"I'll tell you, we use an A-grade high-energy nuclear reactor!"

"What, you want to buy it?"

Chen Chen nodded.

"An A-grade nuclear reactor, barely enough."

He lowered his hand.

"In that case, I'm taking over this camp."

The burly man's laughter stopped abruptly.

It was as if he had heard the biggest joke in the world.

"You're taking over?"

"Who the fuck do you think you..."

Before he could finish his sentence.

Chen Chen's figure instantly disappeared from where he stood.

Fifty meters of distance, with the boost of fifty-three points of agility, didn't even take one-tenth of a second.

A gale suddenly rose.

The burly man only felt a blur before his eyes.

Chen Chen was already standing in front of him.

Chen Chen raised his right hand and directly grabbed the burly man's neck.

Exerting force with one arm.

He lifted this two-hundred-plus-pound burly man into mid-air by sheer force.

The heavy machine gun in the burly man's hand fell to the ground, making a dull metallic clatter.

The surrounding armed personnel were all stunned.

They hadn't even seen how Chen Chen got over there.

"Shoot! Kill him!"

Someone reacted, raised their rifle, and prepared to fire.

Jiang Yanxue's Shadow Instant-Kill Blade carved a dark red trajectory in mid-air.

She turned into an afterimage and rushed into the crowd.

The dull sounds of blades slicing through flesh rang out one after another.

Severed limbs flew everywhere.

Blood splattered onto the rusty steel corridor.

Chen Chen gripped the burly man's neck.

His five fingers gradually tightened.

The burly man's legs kicked wildly in mid-air, and his whole face turned purple-red.

"Where is the nuclear reactor?"

Chen Chen asked matter-of-factly.

The burly man struggled to raise his hand and pointed to the tallest steel building in the deepest part of the camp.

"Snap."

The crisp sound of a neck bone breaking was exceptionally clear amidst the sand and wind.

Chen Chen tossed the two-hundred-plus-pound corpse of the burly man off the steel corridor like trash.

Jiang Yanxue, holding the Shadow Instant-Kill Blade, was preparing to charge into the crowd and slaughter everyone...

To hack this bunch of reckless raiders into pieces.
