230: Sand Temple

Xia Qi also inquired about the green-eyed person from before.

However, even General Hu had no clues, so for now, he could only put that matter aside.

After all, the most urgent matter at hand was still the Professional Competition.

The team competition would not be held for the time being, as many people needed time to recuperate.

What Xia Qi was currently participating in was the individual competition.

The first round of the individual competition finals was a dungeon.

However, this time was different from before.

Contestants would not be directly teleported into the dungeon, but rather arrived at the dungeon's location.

This was a desolate desert, and finding the dungeon entrance was also a test.

Xia Qi stood at the edge of the desert, feeling the scorching sun and the dry, dusty wind.

He looked around and saw a vast expanse of yellow sand stretching into the distance, seemingly without end. Finding the dungeon entrance in this desolate land would be no easy task.

Like him, the others here were completely at a loss.

This dungeon, called Sand God Temple, was located within this desert.

They had to find the entrance first, otherwise they would be directly eliminated once the time ran out.

Xia Qi took a deep breath and began to carefully observe his surroundings.

He observed while searching.

He noticed that the desert was not entirely devoid of life; occasionally, he could see some tenacious Immortals and sparse patches of grass.

A thought stirred in his mind: perhaps these plants could give him some clues.

The Sand God Temple might not necessarily be in the sand.

He walked in the direction of the Immortals, carefully avoiding the sharp rocks hidden in the sand.

As he went deeper, he found that the distribution of these Immortals did not seem random, but followed a certain pattern.

He continued forward, following this pattern, a hint of excitement stirring in his heart.

As Xia Qi moved, the number of contestants around him grew smaller and smaller.

Occasionally, someone would walk up to Xia Qi, but after a few glances, they would walk off in another direction.

Some contestants simply gave up, lying down on the sand.

If someone found the dungeon entrance, they would definitely go there immediately.

If they didn't find it, it didn't matter, as long as so many people were with them.

Xia Qi did not give up and continued his search.

Finally, after a period of searching, he discovered an unusual place.

On a distant sand dune, there seemed to be the outline of a structure.

There was a relatively dense cluster of Immortals, and in the center of the Immortal cluster, there was a seemingly ordinary stone.

However, Xia Qi keenly noticed that this stone emitted a faint glow.

He walked closer and indeed found some blurry runes carved on the stone.

These runes flickered in and out of view under the sunlight, exuding a mysterious aura.

Xia Qi immediately realized that he might have found the entrance.

He reached out and gently touched the runes on the stone.

Suddenly, a powerful force surged from the stone, completely enveloping him.

“It seems this is the place!”

Xia Qi did not hesitate and chose the hell difficulty.

This kind of thing was already familiar to him.

Xia Qi only felt a blackout, and his body seemed to be teleported to another space.

When he opened his eyes again, he had arrived in a brand new world.

This was no longer a desolate desert, but a forest full of life and danger.

Xia Qi looked around; it was like an Oasis in the desert.

And now, he was at the entrance of this Oasis.

He looked into the distance, and deep within the Oasis, there was a cluster of buildings.

It looked like a huge palace, and at its very top, there was an object emitting a brilliant light.

That should be his destination this time, the Sand God Temple.

No one else had entered yet, so it was a good time to clear this dungeon quickly.

He took a deep breath, feeling the fresh air in this Oasis, as if it could wash away all his fatigue and worries.

He took firm steps and advanced towards the palace.

Just a few steps out, Xia Qi noticed something in the forest was watching him.

This should be the dungeon monster in this Oasis, and it would probably appear soon.

Xia Qi immediately adjusted his perception to the maximum, constantly paying attention to every rustle around him.

Soon, he sensed a faint aura.

He followed the direction of the aura and saw a giant scorpion hidden in the grass, its sharp eyes fixed on him.

This scorpion's body was dark yellow, and its carapace was covered with dense spots, making it look exceptionally fierce.

Xia Qi did not hesitate and immediately prepared for battle.

He knew that this scorpion was just the beginning, and more challenges awaited him.

He took a deep breath, mobilized the Qi within his body, and prepared to face this battle.

The scorpion suddenly attacked; it swiftly charged towards Xia Qi, its tail stinger glinting with cold light.

Xia Qi moved his body and easily dodged the scorpion's attack.

He quickly counterattacked, striking the scorpion's carapace with a punch.

The punch whistled, carrying immense power.

However, this scorpion's carapace was exceptionally hard, and Xia Qi's attack did not cause much damage to it.

Xia Qi frowned; he knew he couldn't underestimate these dungeon monsters.

He quickly adjusted his strategy and began to look for the scorpion's weakness.

After some observation, he found that the scorpion's abdomen seemed relatively soft, which should be its weak point.

He attacked again, this time aiming for the scorpion's abdomen.

With one punch, the scorpion let out a cry of agony, its abdomen severely wounded by Xia Qi's attack.

Xia Qi did not give the scorpion a chance to breathe and continued to attack.

Under Xia Qi's attack, the scorpion was immediately killed.

“As expected of the finals, this dungeon is much stronger than the previous ones.”

This was only the first monster; the ones that followed would definitely be even more powerful.

In the stands, General Hu was observing the contestants' every move.

“By the way, why haven't I seen Xia Qi? He wouldn't have gone in already, would he?”

They had been delayed a bit earlier because they were handling some trivial matters.

As a result, they didn't see Xia Qi, only that the dungeon had already been opened by someone.

“Isn't that normal? It seems this championship is his for sure.”

The finals adopted a point system, and finding the dungeon entrance was also a point-earning opportunity.

With Xia Qi's strength, clearing it would certainly be no problem, and since he was among the first to enter, his ranking would likely be among the top.

“Speaking of which, what difficulty will this kid choose?”

The difficulty of the dungeon was also a point-earning factor.

Difficulty determined the upper limit of points; the higher the difficulty, the more points one could earn.

“Oh no!”

Hearing President Tu Yuanshan's words, General Hu suddenly thought of something.

“What's wrong?!”

President Tu Yuanshan was also bewildered by General Hu's reaction, completely unaware of what had happened.

“This kid probably chose hell difficulty!”

Hearing General Hu's words, President Tu Yuanshan was also startled.

However, Xia Qi was truly capable of doing such a thing.
