106: Chapter 107 Elena Trying to Cry

It was clear that after this Nirvana, the little phoenix had indeed grown a bit.

However, she had only grown a little. From her appearance, she still looked like a very young girl, but her height was noticeably taller than before, her figure had stretched slightly, losing some baby fat and revealing the prototype of a future young lady.

A head of brilliant golden-red long hair, seemingly condensed from flowing flames, draped softly behind her. The tips of her hair moved without wind, with faint sparks flickering in and out. The flame feathers that originally wrapped her body gradually withdrew and dissipated under her mental control, revealing a pair of clean, pure eyes like red glazed glass. At this moment, they held a touch of the confusion of just waking up and curiosity about her surroundings as she quietly gazed at Lin Muyang.

Lin Muyang didn't check the specifics of her newly awakened skills for the moment, but instead took a step forward and asked in a gentle tone, "How do you feel? Is there any discomfort?"

"Brother Muyang... Feng Ling feels very good." Hearing the question, a faint, barely perceptible blush appeared on Feng Ling's fair little face as she answered with a crisp voice. Her eyes seemed much more spirited than before the Nirvana; it appeared that with the fusion of the Nirvana and her inherited memories, her mind had matured significantly, no longer being in that completely naive state of ignorance from before.

Furthermore, perhaps because only a few lingering flames remained on her body, she seemed a bit shy facing Lin Muyang's concerned gaze. She subconsciously pressed her legs together, and her small hands tugged unnaturally at the ends of her hanging hair.

Seeing this, Lin Muyang smiled knowingly. He was well-prepared; with a thought, he took out a pre-prepared moon-white embroidered long dress suitable for her current size from his storage bracelet. To deal with her possible growth, he had previously asked Elena to prepare many clothes of different styles and sizes.

"Come, put on some clothes first." Lin Muyang handed the dress over.

Feng Ling nodded obediently and took the dress. The residual flames around her body, as if alive, obediently retracted completely into her body, and not a trace of burning Aura leaked out anymore. Her movements were slightly clumsy but very serious as she put on the long dress. The moon-white fabric made her skin look even more translucent, and paired with that flame-like long hair, there was a strange harmony and beauty.

After dressing neatly, she lightly stepped out from the energy embers formed by the previous Nirvana, her bare feet stepping on the cool floor.

"Phew... that's much better." Gui Wanwan, who had been hiding behind Lin Muyang, patted her flat chest and whispered a comment. Although she was also Lin Muyang's summon, as a member of the Ghost Race, she had an instinctive sense of avoidance toward the pure, fierce, and life-filled Phoenix flames on Feng Ling's body just now. This wasn't a matter of strength, but a racial instinct, like the opposition of ice and fire.

Only then did Lin Muyang step forward to carefully check Feng Ling's updated attribute panel.

【Phoenix Heavenly Maiden: Feng Ling】

【Current Level: 21】

【Strength: 402】

【Constitution: 424】

【Agility: 414】

【Spirit: 852】

【...】

【Skill 3: Undying Flame. Passive effect, grants the "Everlasting" trait to all flames released by oneself. The resulting flame effects (such as continuous damage, attached burning, etc.) become permanent in duration (but can be dispelled or purified by higher priority skills or rule effects).】

【Skill 4: World Purifying Flame. Active skill. Releases "World Purifying Flame" containing the Phoenix's origin, which can simultaneously burn matter and energy within contact range. Deals massive fire damage to physical targets and deals equal "Purification" damage to non-physical existences such as magic effects, barriers, energy shields, and curses. Cooldown: 300 seconds.】

Her basic attributes, compared to level 20, had doubled just as the prompt said. Although her highest single attribute was currently only over eight hundred points, Lin Muyang knew exactly what this meant—calculating based on the growth pattern of the Phoenix Heavenly Maiden's attributes doubling with each Nirvana, by the time she reached level 100 and underwent several more Nirvanas, her basic attributes breaking through tens of thousands would be effortless!

This didn't even count the attribute growth brought by each level-up itself, and that growth value would also double as the number of Nirvanas increased.

Initially, all attributes increased by +10 per level; after one Nirvana, it became +20; after a second Nirvana, +40... With such exponential growth, stacked with the terrifying amplification of Lin Muyang's own God-Tier Auras and the support skills of Elena, Lilia, and others... Lin Muyang could almost foresee what a shocking level Feng Ling's attributes would reach at level 100 in the future. By then, relying on attribute crushing alone, she would be enough to become one of the top existences on Blue Star.

Of course, the Dragon Girl Ao Qingyue, whose cultivation speed had skyrocketed due to "Yamas Fate Alteration," also had limitless future achievements. This dragon and phoenix pair had growth potential that almost saw no ceiling.

Lin Muyang turned his gaze toward the descriptions of the two new skills Feng Ling had acquired, and waves rose in his heart again.

"Undying Flame... all flame effects she causes become permanent in duration?" Lin Muyang carefully pondered the term, "Unless dispelled by a higher priority ability. But with the Phoenix Heavenly Maiden's growth and status, who will be able to dispel her origin fire in the future? This is equivalent to adding a 'permanently sustained' super special effect to all her fire skills!"

"And World Purifying Flame can actually burn matter and energy at the same time?" Lin Muyang had excellent theoretical grades during school and had read many ancient texts, but he had never heard of any flame that could cause direct damage to "energy" itself.

This meant that this skill could not only attack flesh and blood bodies, but also directly burn an enemy's magic shields, blade qi and sword intent, even curses, buff states, and even barrier seals! Used cleverly, this was not just a world-destroying attack skill, but could also become a strategic means to break through various troublesome effects.

Of course, for Lin Muyang's current team, the most important thing was still its simple and crude massive damage. Combined with her "Nirvana Fire" passive's percentage health burn, plus the permanent duration trait of "Undying Flame"...

Imagine a breath of "World Purifying Flame" hitting a boss, adding a permanent flame that drains a percentage of health every second—how terrifying that would be. Even if a boss had recovery abilities, it could be slowly ground to death by this endless burning.

The original 300-second cooldown was considered an ultimate move, but under the enhancement of Lin Muyang's 【Infinite Firepower】 Aura, it would be shortened to 30 seconds, greatly increasing its practicality.

"Just right," Lin Muyang pulled back his thoughts and looked at Gui Wanwan, who was curiously looking around, "Xiao Wan, use your ability first to modify Feng Ling's talent." He pointed to Feng Ling, who was standing there quietly.

"Mm~ leave it to me!" Gui Wanwan nodded, a serious expression appearing on her pale face.

She walked in front of Feng Ling and raised her slender finger. The power of the Demigod Level talent "Yamas Fate Alteration" was triggered again, and that strange energy communicating with the underworld, existing between life and death, spread out and enveloped Feng Ling. This cold and obscure power made the Phoenix Heavenly Maiden, as a representative of the ultimate Yang and strength, frown slightly, her body instinctively resisting a little. But seeing Lin Muyang's encouraging gaze, she still obediently closed her eyes, relaxed her body and mind, and silently endured it.

Soon, the modification was complete. Gui Wanwan consumed 1 boss soul.

Lin Muyang immediately checked Feng Ling's updated talent.

【Talent: Phoenix Bloodline (sub-god level · Yamas Fate Alteration), Fire damage increased from 300% → 886%! All attributes increased by 20 → 45 times after transforming into a Phoenix!】

【Negative Effect (Marked in Red): Experience points required for leveling up increased by 13%.】

"This negative effect..." Lin Muyang rubbed his chin, "doesn't seem to have much impact for now. The main things restricting her rapid leveling are the precious materials and time required for Nirvana, not experience points. Besides, we currently have over seventy times experience bonus; an extra 13% is completely within acceptable limits."

He decided to temporarily keep this modification result. Later, when he had more souls, if he rolled a better negative effect, it wouldn't be too late to change it.

Next, Lin Muyang gathered all the young ladies in the villa into the spacious living room. It was time to make good use of the nearly nine hundred boss souls earned during this business trip. Besides modifying Feng Ling's talent, the other young ladies' talents also needed strengthening. More importantly, the God-Tier Auras he frequently used also needed a comprehensive "Yamas Fate Alteration" upgrade!

After consuming a massive amount of souls and undergoing multiple processes of "canceling and restarting if unsatisfied" while rolling for negative effects, a series of enhancements were completed:

The Aura providing a basic attack power bonus was increased from ten times to thirty-two times!

The Aura providing a basic defense power bonus was increased from ten times to thirty-six times!

The 【Spell Expansion】 that enlarged skill and Aura range had its amplification multiplier soar from ten times to thirty-five times!

The 【Infinite Firepower】 providing extra cooldown reduction had its reduction effect increased from 90% to 97%! Don't look at it as just a 7 percentage point increase; for a skill with a base 300-second cooldown, it could previously be shortened to 30 seconds, but now... it could be shortened to just 9 seconds! This almost turned many ultimate moves into small skills that could be used frequently.

In addition, weakening Auras such as slowing, armor penetration, and reducing enemy attack power had their effect intensity increased from around 90% to the 93%-95% range.

Lin Muyang found that God-Tier Auras strengthened through "Yamas Fate Alteration" generally had their positive effects increased to three to four times the original. When all these enhancement effects were stacked together, the final combat power boost brought to Lin Muyang and the entire team was extremely terrifying; the overall output and survival capability were more than several times stronger than before!

"Yamas Fate Alteration truly lives up to being a Demigod Level talent," Lin Muyang sighed sincerely, "this effect is too overbearing." Of course, this was also thanks to his own God-Tier Talent serving as a foundation, which could carry such exaggerated strengthening. If it were an ordinary Class Transferee's talent, the magnitude of the increase probably wouldn't be this ridiculous.

Subsequently, Lin Muyang had Elabess and Elena come before him.

Elena's SSS-Rank Talent "Maids Light" originally provided a 100% all-attribute boost to designated teammates. After "Yamas Fate Alteration," this boost ratio skyrocketed to 215%! Combined with Lin Muyang's own strengthened God-Tier Aura that provided massive attribute bonuses...

Lin Muyang did a rough estimation; with all statuses active, his current four-dimensional attributes had steadily broken through the twenty-five thousand point mark! This was an attribute level that usually only a level 150 Class Transferee equipped with top-tier Emperor Level gear could possibly reach. One must know that after level 100, the attribute growth from each level-up and the attribute bonuses provided by high-quality gear would have a qualitative leap.

The "The activation condition for the 【Absolute Command】 Aura is that my Spirit attribute needs to exceed the target's by five times..." The description of this control-type Aura flashed through Lin Muyang's mind. "In other words, with my current Spirit attribute, it can already take effect on targets whose Spirit attribute does not exceed five thousand points."

Looking at it now, the application scenarios for this Aura were still quite limited. For people whose Spirit attribute did not exceed five thousand points, Lin Muyang could mostly crush them head-on with his current combat power anyway.

But the true value of this Aura lay in the future—when Lin Muyang's level continued to rise, breaking through level 100, and combined with numerous Auras, his attributes reached or even surpassed Nation-Guarding Level Experts... the strategic significance of this Aura would be immeasurable. At that time, many problems that were impossible or inconvenient to solve with force might be easily resolved with a single "Absolute Command."

Finally, it was time to strengthen Elabess's talent.

However, when the Succubus Maiden walked down from upstairs, Lin Muyang keenly noticed that a faint gloom hung between her exquisite brows, and her expression seemed somewhat low, completely different from her usual lazy or cunning appearance.

"Elabess, what's wrong? In a bad mood?" Lin Muyang asked with some curiosity.

Hearing this, Elabess sighed softly, a bitter smile appearing on her beautiful face as she shook her head: "It's not that I'm in a bad mood, Master. It's that I've sensed that another 'Dark Storm' is about to arrive in the Dark Abyss where I was born. According to the tribe's tradition and survival experience, I must return to the Abyss within these few days to follow the tribe's migration. Otherwise, once the storm completely subsides, the space-time coordinates might become disordered, and if I go back then, I'm afraid I won't be able to find any trace of my clansmen."

"Dark Storm?" Lin Muyang's expression froze slightly. He had heard Elabess mention this before and knew it was a periodic, terrifying natural disaster that swept through the entire layer of the Dark Abyss. He originally thought it was just a harsh environment, but he didn't expect it to be serious enough to require the entire Succubus tribe to undergo a large-scale migration to avoid it.

"Since time is tight, then there's no time to lose." Lin Muyang's expression became serious. From his storage bracelet, he took out a small glazed bottle emitting a faint holy light, containing a small amount of crystal-clear liquid—it was precisely the tears of the angel.

"Let's upgrade your talent first. A bit more strength will mean a bit more security when you go back," Lin Muyang said. Recently, Elena had been working very hard and often cried secretly, accumulating quite a few tears of the angel. Lin Muyang had intended to save more for everyone to use together, but now that Elabess had to return to her dangerous homeland to deal with a natural disaster, her priority was naturally raised to the highest.
