310: Chapter 311 Is he really going to become a savior?

Everything unfolding before their eyes was like the most absurd and unconstrained epic scroll, or like invisible heavy hammers ruthlessly smashing into the hearts of every Holy City expert witnessing this scene through remote observation spells. It shattered all the common sense and worldviews they had built over hundreds of years regarding power, levels, talents, and combat.

They couldn't help but uncontrollably recall the days when they were still young and their levels were barely over a hundred. At that time, they were perhaps the best among their peers, crowned with the title of genius. Under the guidance of their mentors, they trained in relatively safe areas. Facing elite monsters of the same level or slightly higher required careful handling and detailed tactics; a single slip-up could lead to injury or even death.

And what about now?

That young man from another world, leading a group of equally young ladies, had directly charged into the heart of the nests of dozens of legendary-grade monster groups with an average level exceeding two hundred, despite their apparent level being only just over a hundred! This wasn't an adventure; it was practically throwing themselves into a meat grinder!

But the expected tragic encirclement did not happen. What occurred was a one-sided feast of slaughter with an efficiency so high it was hair-raising.

Those legendary-grade monsters, who in their memories were thick-skinned, possessed bizarre talents, and often required an elite squad of the same level to spend massive amounts of time and resources to barely subjugate, were as fragile as withered grass in a gale or snow under a scorching sun before Lin Muyang and the young ladies. They melted and were annihilated in vast swathes.

The monsters' violent charges, bizarre skills, and deathbed counterattacks appeared so pale and powerless before that Dark Vortex with its ridiculously exaggerated range, those Blood Shadow Flying Daggers as dense as a torrential downpour, and that casually summoned world-destroying elemental storm. They couldn't even cause a single ripple in the course of the battle.

Shock.

An unparalleled shock swept through the depths of every Holy City expert's soul. They had long been used to the calmness and majesty of being the strong and the decision-makers, but at this moment, many faces were left with only dullness and bewilderment.

"Fortunately... fortunately we chose cooperation instead of confrontation." It was unknown which elder whispered everyone's inner thoughts with a dry voice in the deathly silent observation room. This thought, like a realization after the fact, made a chill run down their spines.

If the mainstream opinion of the Holy City Council at that time had been to forcefully investigate, militarily expel, or even suppress this extra-dimensional invader... the consequences would have been unimaginable! With the completely illogical strength Lin Muyang was currently displaying and his team's terrifying combat power, even if he couldn't topple the entire Atlantis World single-handedly, he definitely had the ability to turn the Holy City and even all the Floating Cities upside down, causing incalculable loss and turmoil. By then, humanity's hope of returning to the surface would be even more remote, and they might even face an existential crisis.

Of course, with the vision and depth of thinking of these established experts, they naturally wouldn't look at problems superficially. After the brief extreme shock, rational analysis began to regain the upper hand.

They could clearly perceive the energy levels dissipating in the battlefield. Although the power of the skills released by Lin Muyang and the young ladies was terrifying, the intensity of their energy fluctuations was roughly equivalent to the level of a top expert in the Atlantis World around level four hundred with an SSS-Rank Talent going all out. Combat power at this level was certainly astounding, but it was far from reaching the point of ignoring numbers and sweeping everything away. There were those in the Holy City who could match or even surpass it.

But the crux of the problem wasn't there.

The key was that Lin Muyang and his group were only level one hundred plus!

At level one hundred plus, they possessed actual combat destructive power comparable to a level four hundred SSS-rank expert? This gap could no longer be described by simple over-level combat; this was a chasm that crossed life tiers! The essence of the power they mastered, and their use or even tampering with skill rules, had exceeded the existing cognitive system of the Holy City experts.

A more heart-palpitating deduction naturally emerged in their minds: a level one hundred plus Lin Muyang possessed level four hundred combat power. Then, what about when he reached level two hundred? Or three hundred? Did it mean he could easily possess power comparable to level eight hundred or even higher? At that time, who in the entire Atlantis World could still check and balance him?

This thought made many hearts feel heavy. How long could their current cooperation and recruitment maintain "equality" in the face of absolute power?

Unfortunately, these top experts of the Holy City didn't know, and could hardly imagine, that what Lin Muyang was showing now was perhaps only the tip of his massive iceberg. It was the strength he was willing to let people see. His true trump cards—the numerous Auras and their bond effects derived from his God-Tier Talent that reigned supreme over world rules—had an upper limit of power that far exceeded their simple perception based on energy levels.

If Lin Muyang held nothing back and exploded with full force, coordinating with the young ladies' Cooperative Linkage and the ultimate effects of various God-Tier Auras, even those legendary-grade experts in the Atlantis World with levels as high as five or six hundred might not necessarily gain the upper hand against him. The absolute gap in talent levels brought not only an explosive growth in attributes but also a generational difference in the understanding and application of rules. It was just that Lin Muyang understood the balance between hiding one's brilliance and deterrence; there was no need to show all his cards at this stage.

In any case, the die was cast.

Watching Lin Muyang's group act like the most efficient scavengers on the surface of Atlantis, clearing away those cancerous monsters that had plagued humanity for hundreds of years at an astonishing speed, the Holy City experts gradually felt relieved after the initial alarm. They even felt an indescribable surge of excitement and hope.

Such a powerful, infinitely potential-filled extra-dimensional genius who was willing to stand on humanity's side was now actually a City Lord of their world and an honorary member of the Holy City Council! This was simply a pie falling from the sky, the most dazzling dawn the human civilization of Atlantis had seen in the long night!

"In the future, our return to the surface might really no longer be an unreachable dream!" A radical general clenched his fists, a burning light in his eyes.

"We must do everything possible to maintain a good relationship with him. As for the resources he needs, as long as it doesn't endanger our foundation, satisfy him as much as possible! Any requests he makes, as long as they aren't excessive, cooperate as much as possible!" The steady elders quickly reached a consensus.

Of course, doubt and curiosity sprouted in their hearts like weeds. What kind of world did Lin Muyang come from? Just how powerful and prosperous must that place called Blue Star be to nurture such a monstrous genius? Were existences like him a common phenomenon on Blue Star, or were they as rare as a phoenix feather? Did he travel across the ocean to Atlantis to seek opportunities because the competition on Blue Star was too fierce and he couldn't grab enough resources?

These questions were repeatedly discussed and speculated upon within the small circle of the Holy City's upper echelon, but naturally, no one could reach a definitive answer. Lin Muyang kept his mouth shut about it, and they also knew that rashly prying into a powerhouse's background was a major taboo, so they could only suppress their doubts in their hearts.

Lin Muyang indeed had no intention of revealing details about Blue Star. It wasn't out of fear; with Atlantis's current technology, it was fundamentally impossible to cross world barriers and threaten Blue Star. He just felt it was unnecessary. The only connection point between the two worlds currently was him. Not interfering with each other and developing separately was the best state. Revealing too much might instead trigger unnecessary associations, covetousness, or panic.

Time flew by in slaughter and harvesting that was efficient to the extreme.

Three days.

For three whole days, Lin Muyang led his army of young ladies like a tireless wind of death, sweeping through several large areas marked on the Lingxi Map where monsters were most densely populated. Wherever they passed, legendary-grade monster groups disappeared in their entirety, leaving behind only scorched earth that had been baptized by skills and temporarily fell into deathly silence.

The results were astounding.

Elabess's [Dark Vortex], Seraphina's [Blood Shadow Flying Dagger], and Su Daji's several major elemental Origin Skills... within just three days, they soared like they were on a rocket, their levels skyrocketing and breaking through the level 40 mark one after another!

Upgrading Origin Skills became increasingly difficult in the later stages. From level 30 to 40, the required Origin Experience was almost several times the sum of all previous levels' experience! This was a number sufficient to make the vast majority of Class Transferees despair; many people might not even be able to raise a main Origin Skill above level 30 in their entire lives.

But with Lin Muyang, under the terrifying replication effect of the [Experience Resonance] bond and the nearly infinite supply of monster resources on the surface of Atlantis, this seemingly impossible task was completed with ease. The Origin Experience the young ladies gained from killing monsters was perfectly replicated and shared among all their Origin Skills, causing every skill's growth speed to reach an inconceivable level.

Three days was equivalent to the results of an ordinary genius grinding for several years!

And level 40 Origin Skills finally began to reveal their true, qualitative-change-level power.

Take Elabess's [Dark Vortex] as an example. At level 20, it unlocked the trait of ignoring magic immunity, which was already extremely strong strategic value. After reaching level 40, its range of influence, duration, and basic gravitational effect were all massively increased. More importantly, it awakened a brand new additional effect: Time Stagnation!

Within the range of influence of the level 40 [Dark Vortex], the flow of time would be significantly slowed, with the effect being roughly between 5 to 8 times! This meant that for attackers outside the black hole area, they gained 5 to 8 times more time to attack targets within the area! Originally, only one skill could be released in a second, but now, theoretically, 5 to 8 could be released! This simply elevated control and concentrated fire damage to another dimension, making [Dark Vortex] jump from a powerful crowd control skill to a space-time composite skill with terrifying strategic value!

Of course, in the Atlantis World, due to hundreds of years of development, time and space type skills were rare but not non-existent. There had been experts in the Holy City's history who raised [Dark Vortex] to level 40 and comprehended similar effects. For those experts who were often level four or five hundred, this level of time interference was powerful but couldn't be called invincible.

But Lin Muyang was different. Although his level was low, he mastered higher-level God-Tier Auras like [Time Interruption] and [Space Isolation]. Once activated, they were enough to cancel out or even suppress the opponent's time and space skill effects to a considerable extent. This allowed him to still maintain considerable initiative when facing high-level enemies, at least not falling into an absolute disadvantage in the fields of time and space.

Finally, after efficiently grinding Origin Skills for three days, Lin Muyang decided to temporarily return to Blue Star.

In these three days, the number of monsters they cleared was massive, enough to put any Atlantis army to shame. But if one looked at the entire vast surface of the Atlantis World, the monsters they cleared probably didn't even amount to one percent of the total. Even within these three days, the monsters emerging from newly refreshed Secret Realms and Dungeons across the world, combined with the natural reproduction of monster groups, might have offset or even exceeded their kill count.

Wanting Atlantis humans to truly return to the surface was still a long and difficult task. How could a monster ecology accumulated over hundreds of years be overturned in just three days? Lin Muyang's appearance only brought a ray of dawn and an unprecedentedly efficient method, but there was still a long way to go before the entire night was illuminated.

However, this faint light was already enough to ignite hope. Various images of Lin Muyang slaughtering monsters were screened and processed by the Holy City and began to spread limitedly among the major Floating Cities. Although the Holy City, out of stability considerations, did not disclose Lin Muyang's identity as an extra-dimensional visitor and instead shaped him as a suddenly rising, mysterious, and powerful human savior figure, this did not prevent countless ordinary citizens and low-level Class Transferees from viewing Lin Muyang as an idol and hope, developing a fanatical worship for him. Legends about a Black-Robed Death God or an Elemental Monarch began to quietly circulate in the sky cities.

Lin Muyang didn't care about these empty titles. What his heart was set on at this moment was another more important matter.

Feng Ling was about to end her first Nirvana.

According to previous senses and estimates, the end of Nirvana was in the coming days. And after completing this Nirvana, there was a high probability that Feng Ling could awaken more inherited memories of the Phoenix clan, which very likely contained clues about the location of the plane core!

The "plane core"... this was the only opportunity Lin Muyang currently knew of that could allow the young ladies' talents to break through the Demigod Level shackles and reach the true God-Tier! Even for his own already God-Tier Aura talent, it might produce some kind of incalculable sublimation and completion!

By comparison, grinding monsters for levels and obtaining resources in Atlantis, while important, was clearly prioritized after the plane core.

It was time to go back.
