Chapter 168 Am I, Tsukuyomi, a coward who fears death?

This intense sun truly possesses a bit of Amaterasu Omikami's Aura.

However, although the gods of Takamagahara heard Amaterasu Omikami's cry for help, none of them actually followed her orders to come to her rescue.

Are you kidding? If someone forces even Amaterasu Omikami to call for help, are we supposed to just go up there and be experience points for them?

Not to mention that they had only just awakened, and many gods had less than ten percent of their strength remaining.

Furthermore, not all the gods here were willing to continue staying in Takamagahara.

Initially, they thought coming here was to maintain the dignity and loftiness of gods, highlighting their uniqueness.

But once they actually settled in Takamagahara, they realized that while they had the mystery, their dignity and loftiness were gone.

When Amaterasu Omikami fought with her own brothers, the ones affected were the other innocent gods, who were also forced to pick sides.

One could be a lofty divine lord in the Mortal realm, but in Takamagahara, they had to be someone's dog, living in constant uncertainty.

Unless one had a masochistic Physique, it was clear which option to choose.

So, taking advantage of the fact that the gate between Takamagahara and the modern world had just been opened and remained ajar, some gods were already trying to return to the Mortal world.

Therefore, everyone turned a blind eye to Amaterasu Omikami's request.

Meanwhile, Amaterasu Omikami continued to disperse her Divine Power and essence, leaving only an empty shell behind.

This shell was merely something she had condensed with Divine Power in the past; even if it were destroyed, she could simply expend more Divine Power to condense a new one in the future.

However, this Sword Qi did not come seeking her Physical Body; it struck by following Karma.

As her Divine Power and essence dispersed, the Sword Qi did not pause for a moment, pursuing her essence and continuously shredding Amaterasu Omikami's life force.

This single strike was enough to easily kill an ordinary Bitter Sea Realm cultivator, but Amaterasu Omikami used the faith of billions of people in the island nation as an anchor. Her life force was incredibly powerful; while the damage from this strike wasn't exactly a drop in the bucket, it wasn't much more than that.

The only thing that annoyed her was that the Sword Qi clung to her essence and Divine Power like a maggot on a bone, constantly eroding her life force and preventing her from exerting her full strength.

Moreover, this Sword Qi acted like a beacon, allowing Jiang Chen to target it at any time and continuously unleash similar Sword Qi.

"If it weren't for that monk from the Eastern Lands who traveled east and severely depleted my Origin Qi, why would I fear you?!" Realizing there was nowhere to hide, Amaterasu Omikami began to mobilize the power of the laws of all Takamagahara.

Upon hearing Amaterasu Omikami's voice, Susanoo seemed to remember something; he shifted his attention from Su Baiwei back to Jianzhen's remains.

His weapon, the kusanagi no tsurugi, was still stuck between Jianzhen's bones, gripped tightly in his palm, and he couldn't pull it out.

"You're already dead, yet you're still holding on so tight. Is this your property that you're taking it?" Susanoo muttered.

He pulled hard on the kusanagi no tsurugi, but Jianzhen's bones emitted a faint golden light, like a Golden Body, causing the sword to remain completely motionless.

"Die for me!" Enraged, Susanoo prepared to throw a punch at Jianzhen's remains.

Jiang Chen, who was battling Amaterasu Omikami, had a flash in his eyes. He reached out and gripped the air, and a power capable of devouring human hearts spread from his palm.

Three Souls Restraint Technique!

In an instant, Susanoo felt a soul-devouring force that uncontrollably tried to pull his Divine Soul out of his body.

He was shocked and began to resist with all his might, but his Divine Soul seemed to be no longer under his control, being steadily pulled out of his body and moving toward Jiang Chen.

But in the next moment, a pure white, mysterious glow suddenly appeared, blocking the power of the Three Souls Restraint Technique.

Susanoo's Divine Soul suddenly felt a release and immediately returned to his body.

His gaze narrowed as he looked outside the large hole in the palace he had just crashed through.

At this moment, a figure wearing a moon-white feathered robe, cold and noble, with an indistinguishable gender, stood outside the palace.

One of his hands was extended, palm facing Susanoo; it was he who had just blocked Jiang Chen's Spell.

"Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, you fellow..."

Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto just watched Jiang Chen silently without speaking; his authority belonged to the moon and the Reincarnation of fate.

Although this was a bit of boasting, due to the faith of the island nation's people, he did indeed possess the ability to command a portion of the Lunar Power, as well as methods similar to the Daoist sect's divination and foresight.

Now, as he looked at Jiang Chen, he immediately sensed an ancient Aura of time circulating around the man.

It was as if this person were a mythical figure who had stepped out of the eternal ages; the Aura of time on him was even thicker than that of Tamamo-no-Mae.

This left Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto somewhat stunned, and he instinctively wanted to calculate Jiang Chen's origins and future.

However, when he activated the Spell, he didn't receive the slightest feedback, which Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto found even more incredible.

His Spells were related to the Reincarnation of fate, and the Reincarnation of fate inevitably involved Karma; no matter the person or object, if it existed, it must leave behind Karma.

Everything is constructed from Threads of Karma.

But when Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto investigated Jiang Chen just now, he discovered a terrifying fact: he couldn't find a single thread of Karma on Jiang Chen!

It was as if Jiang Chen were not a person who existed in this world at all.

Yet at this moment, he could clearly sense the man's existence and the ancient Aura about him.

This filled Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto with dread. Who exactly was this person, and how had Takamagahara provoked such a being?

Now, he began to regret why he had come to help these two reckless and not-so-noble fellows.

Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto finally spoke, his voice also indistinguishable in terms of Yin and Yang, carrying a mysterious and noble coldness.

As soon as he spoke, he left the already conflicted Susanoo stunned and the joyful Amaterasu Omikami dumbfounded.

"Sorry, I've got the wrong door."

After saying that, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto turned around without looking back and prepared to leave gracefully.

"Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, haven't you always wanted Jianzhen's Golden Body? If you help me, I'll give it to you!" Amaterasu Omikami shouted.

Hearing this, Jiang Chen, who had originally intended to let Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto leave, had a cold flash in his eyes.

Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto was tempted and was just about to agree when he suddenly felt a chill down his spine. He turned back coldly and parted his lips slightly.

"This is slander! This is defamation!"

With that, he turned and left, his steps so fast that afterimages appeared.

At this moment, he suddenly felt that while Takamagahara was decent, Ashihara no Nakatsukuni offered much more freedom!

Seeing that Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto was actually preparing to open the gate and run toward the Human World along with the other gods.

Susanoo and Amaterasu Omikami were instantly infuriated.

"Dammit, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, you are not worthy of being my elder brother!" Susanoo roared, struggling to pull out the kusanagi no tsurugi.

Just as Amaterasu Omikami was also preparing to recklessly gather the power of the laws for a desperate struggle against Jiang Chen, she saw the gods who had been swarming toward the gate of the Human World now scrambling back one by one.

The first to retreat was the noble Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto.

His figure shone with a bright light like a clear moon, and he spoke with righteous indignation:

"How could I, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, be someone who fears death?"
