36: Chapter 36 Exiting Mr. Liu's Project

The next morning, Li Xin arrived at Mr. Liu's company right on time.

"Mr. Li, you're here?" Mr. Liu greeted him with a smile, gestured for him to sit, and brewed a pot of Pu'er tea. "Both real estate projects have sold out.

The Longhua project had a net profit of 19 million, and the Guangming project had a net profit of 11 million, totaling 30 million.

Based on your share, you are entitled to 18 million, plus your principal of 50 million, making for a total of 68 million."

Li Xin took the financial report and flipped through it; the accounts were clear, so he nodded. "Mr. Liu, the accounts are fine.

However, I have an idea—I plan to withdraw from the upcoming projects."

Mr. Liu was stunned for a moment and set down his teacup. "Withdraw? Is there something I haven't done well?"

"No," Li Xin shook his head. "Both projects sold much better than I expected, and the accounts are clear.

It's just that I want to invest the money I have on hand into other areas.

The real estate cycle is too long, and it ties up too much capital, so it's not really suitable for me."

This was half-truth, half-falsehood.

The real reason was that when he originally invested in Mr. Liu, it was because he had money on hand and happened to run into Mr. Liu when his capital chain was having issues, so he had taken advantage of the situation.

He understood the principle of quitting while ahead.

Moreover, he now had a more important direction—his tech company was about to launch a product and needed money for promotion, and his logistics company needed to expand and buy trucks.

Real estate was too flashy, and he didn't want to attract attention.

Mr. Liu was silent for a good while, then sighed. "Alright, I understand.

I will transfer the 68 million to you in three installments.

The first installment of 50 million in principal will arrive this afternoon, the second installment of 10 million by the middle of next month, and the third installment of 8 million will be settled before the end of the year."

"No problem." Li Xin stood up and reached out his hand. "Mr. Liu, it's been a pleasure working with you."

Mr. Liu shook his hand and said with emotion, "When you threw those 50 million in at the beginning, I was quite nervous.

Looking at it now, you really have guts.

If you ever need anything in the Shenzhen real estate circle in the future, just ask."

"Thank you, Mr. Liu."

Walking out of the company, Li Xin sent a message to Luo Maifa: "Let's have lunch together at the new Hunan restaurant next to the school."

At twelve o'clock, Luo Maifa and Yang Hong had already arrived.

The three of them found a table by the window and ordered six dishes, including spicy chicken, chopped chili fish head, and stir-fried beef.

Luo Maifa picked up a piece of spicy chicken and gasped from the heat. "Damn, this place is authentic!"

Yang Hong pushed up his glasses. "Did you finish things with Mr. Liu?"

"Yeah. Both projects sold out, and with the principal plus dividends, it's 68 million in total."

Luo Maifa almost choked on the chili. "68 million? You only invested in real estate late last year, and you've already made 18 million so quickly?"

Li Xin smiled. "Just lucky."

Yang Hong, however, shook his head. "When you invested in Mr. Liu, his capital chain was almost broken, and he had been rejected by several investors.

This isn't luck; it's vision."

Li Xin didn't respond.

He couldn't say that he dared to invest because of his memories from his past life, knowing that housing prices would rise in the coming years.

"What's next?" Yang Hong asked.

"Investing the money into the tech company.

The product launches next week, and we need money for promotion.

We'll take out 20 million first and start ground promotion in the University Town; for every registration, we'll give away a bottle of water or a coupon.

There are over a hundred thousand students in the University Town, so we'll have our first batch of users."

Yang Hong thought for a moment. "This method is feasible, but it requires dozens of ground promotion staff."

"Let Luo Maifa be in charge of recruiting; he has a silver tongue." Li Xin looked at Luo Maifa.

Luo Maifa patted his chest. "I can do that! I know a lot of people at school; finding a few dozen part-time students is no problem."

After the meal, Luo Maifa packed a portion of food for Qiang Zi. He carried the lunchbox to the door and then turned back. "Li Xin, my dad said thank you for adjusting the shares, and he also said that you really treat Maifa like a brother. He wants you to come over for dinner when you're free."

Li Xin smiled. "That's what it is."

Yang Hong stood at the door and looked at him. "What are you doing this afternoon?"

"Going to Dubai, have some business to attend to."

Yang Hong didn't ask further, only saying, "Stay safe."

Li Xin stood at the school gate, took out his phone, and sent a message to Chen Hu: "Book a ticket to Dubai for tonight."

Chen Hu replied instantly: "Understood. There's a flight at eight tonight; I've booked it for you."

Li Xin put his phone in his pocket, hailed a taxi, and headed toward the airport.
