624: Immortal Venerable

The Grand Elder's figure suddenly appeared, his expression ugly to the extreme. Each of the ten figures in the sky emitted an aura that was terrifying to the limit.

When his gaze focused on the two people at the very front, his expression instantly changed.

"The Immortal Venerable Realm, and a Half-step Immortal Venerable!"

His heart immediately sank to the bottom. Just those in the Immortal Lord Realm were enough to cause them trouble.

Suddenly, he thought of the three Elders who had just gone out not long ago, and his face became increasingly unsightly. Even a fool could guess now that this was definitely a conspiracy by the Yao Race.

At this moment, heaven and earth were enveloped by a strange power; clearly, this was a Formation.

The Yao Race was not skilled in Formations and Alchemy, which meant there was a high probability that someone among the Human Race had betrayed them, and it was very likely someone from within their Nine Star Empire.

Damn it!

The Grand Elder's expression was incredibly gloomy. Currently, Your Majesty was in seclusion. Facing so many experts, they were simply unable to resist.

"Form the Formation!"

The Grand Elder suddenly barked out an order. Several Immortal Lord Cultivators immediately joined forces, and Formation runes shimmering with blue light emerged above the Imperial City, enveloping a large area around the Imperial Palace.

Now they had no time to worry about the entire Imperial City and could only abandon most of it. Only then would it be possible to hold out until other Human Race Cultivators came to support them, though he knew the hope was slim.

With an Immortal Venerable and a Half-step Immortal Venerable personally taking action, it was simply too difficult for their Nine Star Empire to withstand.

Seeing this, the Yao Race old man's eyes were filled with disdain: "You think such a Formation can stop us?"

He reached out to grab at it. It looked ordinary, but with just that one grab, the Formation formed by the Grand Elder and the others was easily broken, shattering directly and vanishing into points of starlight.

What!

The Grand Elder's face changed drastically. He hadn't expected the Formation to completely block an Immortal Venerable expert, but it was the combined effort of several Immortal Lords; he hadn't expected it wouldn't even withstand a single strike.

Was the strength of an Immortal Venerable expert really this terrifying?

"The might of an Immortal Venerable is not something you ants can fathom."

After the old man spoke, he waved his hand again. Energy swept out like a violent storm, moving at an extreme speed, striking the Grand Elder almost instantly.

Boom!

In an instant, heaven and earth cracked, and the entire Imperial City trembled violently once more.

The Grand Elder spat out blood, his Physical Body nearly pulverized. His breath was as thin as silk, and blood flowed incessantly from all over his body.

With just one strike, the Grand Elder, who was at the Immortal Lord Perfection, nearly perished. Was this the strength of an Immortal Venerable expert?

"Grand Elder!"

The other Elders all showed expressions of horror.

Could the Grand Elder not even block a single strike?

Every face was filled with extreme terror.

It's over!

It's completely over!

The Human and Yao Races were mortal enemies. Even if they chose to surrender, the Yao Race would absolutely not let them go.

The Yao Race old man glanced coldly at the experts of the Imperial Family, his face full of disdain, then calmly commanded: "The Imperial Family no longer has any combat power. Wipe them all out."

"Remember, everyone in this Imperial City must be killed cleanly. Leave no one alive."

They didn't want to immediately break out into battle with the Human Race of the Central Continent. Destroying the Nine Star Empire was just one part of their plan; they still needed a little time to strategize next.

Only after they were completely prepared could they go and annihilate the Human Race of the Central Continent.

The old man's eyes glinted with a faint crimson light. Following his command, the nine people behind him immediately charged down to kill, each carrying a sky-piercing Killing Intent.

This Killing Intent caused the temperature of the entire Imperial City to plummet.

The Empress was still in seclusion, likely at a critical moment. The Grand Elder had been defeated, and the Second Elder was pinned down. Now, the Nine Star Empire's Imperial Family had no high-level combat power left; the remaining people were nothing more than clay chickens and pottery dogs.

The Yao Race old man looked toward the depths of the Imperial Palace. Next would be dealing with the Empress.

The Empress was still in seclusion, and such a time definitely allowed for no disturbance. Once disturbed, the result would be backlash at best, or immediate death at worst.

A sinister smile appeared on the Yao Race old man's face.

However, just as he was about to act, a blinding white light shot out from the depths of the Imperial Palace. The white light contained a terrifying power that made even him a bit wary.

The Yao Race old man retreated, yet he was still a step too slow.

Puchi!

The white beam sliced across his shoulder, immediately shearing off a piece of the Yao Race old man's shoulder, and blood flowed uncontrollably.

This sudden turn of events stunned all the Yao Race members. They stopped what they were doing and looked toward the depths of the Imperial Palace with solemn gazes.

The Yao Race old man's eyes were gloomy, and his expression grew more serious.

Immortal Venerable!

The Empress had achieved a Breakthrough to the Immortal Venerable Realm.

In the depths of the Imperial Palace, an incredibly terrifying aura gradually rose.

Immediately following that.

A white figure slowly walked out from the palace. She was exceptionally elegant, wearing a small golden crown on her head, her expression cold and aloof to the extreme. Her entire body released a high-and-mighty imperial aura.

The woman wore a white dress with strands of white gauze tied to it, fluttering in the wind, adding a touch of Immortal Qi.

She wore no shoes on her feet, and from her calves down, everything was exposed. A pair of white, tender jade feet stepped upon the Void Realm.

The Empress walked out slowly, her eyes looking coldly toward the Yao Race old man:

"Yao Race!"

Her voice was cold and noble, while simultaneously containing a bone-chilling intent to kill.

At the same time, the Yao Race members present felt goosebumps all over, and a look of shock flashed in their eyes.

She really did break through to Immortal Venerable!

The Yao Race old man's expression was solemn to the extreme. Immortal Venerable and Immortal Lord were completely different levels of strength. It was heard that the Empress possessed an Immortal Body, and one that was very highly ranked, making her combat power terrifying.

If she had broken through to Immortal Venerable, then things would be a bit difficult to handle.

Dammit!

How could an Immortal Venerable Breakthrough be so simple? Back then, in order to break through, he had spent nearly three million years, but from her seclusion until now, it hadn't even been ten thousand years, right?

Or perhaps the Empress had broken through long ago and was just keeping a low profile.

But... so what if the Empress had broken through?

He had already considered this point when he came.

"It seems that today, not only will the Nine Star Empire perish, but we can also kill an Immortal Venerable Cultivator of the Human Race."

A sinister smile filled the Yao Race old man's face. He raised his hand and threw out a small emerald-green orb. A terrifying fluctuation instantly spread out, enveloping nearly a quarter of the entire Imperial City.

The light orb broke open, and spatial fluctuations immediately spread as a young man slowly walked out from within.

The aura on his body was not at all inferior to that of the Yao Race old man.

This... was also an Immortal Venerable Cultivator!

The Empress's eyebrows immediately furrowed slightly, and a look of gravity flashed in her eyes.

She could still withstand one Immortal Venerable, but if there were two, she could not possibly be their match. After all, she had only just broken through to the Immortal Venerable Realm, and even her cultivation had not yet fully stabilized...
